I don't believe the cars theymselve's are douchbaggy, it's the people that drive them.

Like for example:

I tend to think the Nissan Altima is nice car (had one as a rental, like the looks, the drive quality, etc.). However, any Altima driver I have encountered drives like an ass.

The original Hummer should not be on that list, the one actually derived from the military Humvee.

Now the H2 and H3 on the other hand... as they are NOT Hummers, merely overpriced Suburbans.

^^^ And in the H3's case: and over priced Trailblazer.

True enough!

But it's not just the way they drive, it's the inordinate pride they take in owning and preening over their vehicles, as well--going so far as to equate ownership and ostentatious display of any vehicle with a right to be beheld with awe and envy by others they consider less fortunate or wise.

This is also douchebaggery of the highest degree.

Thats the F-650 WAAAAAAAY more douchbaggy than my tiny little Ram. The H2 shoud soo be on the list too... But the STI? C'mon that thing just flat out kicks ass!!

Only in America is this bullcrap allowed on the road by a normal driver. >:(

Oh, and CF........ :-* :-* :-*

I now conclude that every car BUT Daewoos (just ugh) and F-650's is indeed not in itself douchebaggy, but may or may not attract a douchey driver. Here, here! *gavel*

I think that most of the world in general don't understand the fascination with big ass vehicles that people seem to love so much in the US. Esp considering the fact that most people here don't even know how to handle them

I wouldn't say the whole world, just smaller countries especially older ones don't get it. You lack the space and infrastructure to get benefit from large vehicles, so you stick up your noses, and make fun/get disgusted by the silly yanks. It's a lot easier than putting things in perspective.

I'm a "Yank" and now I don't understand why, unless you pull a trailer, go off roading, etc., you need a big gas guzzling vehicle that doesn't even get used for "utility". And a big eff you to those housewives and soccer moms that buy the huge ass SUVs/ trucks and can't park them, let alone drive them!

Am I the only one who has never seen an F-650?

Uh, no. I've never seen one of these monstrosities and I even grew up in Redneck country too. OMG, I think Steven King could write a novel on that thing...scary. I thought the Ford 350 Supercab was the biggest pick-up truck. Ya'll sure that's not a fancy tractor trailer???

No offense to anyone that may own one of these vehicles...but I've always thought anyone that drives a minivan is an instant douchebag.

Coming from a professional mechanic of many years.

It is a fairly good list. You could make a list of 50 cars + really. The H2 and several Lexus cars I would like to see on it personaly. I have owned a couple of the cars on the list. I also believe that any car can make or break the list based on the driver. A lot of what it listed is driver habits. It just happens that those driver habits are often displayed with certain vehicles.

I built up an evo for a customer at one point and it was always having problems. they are decent cars and quick but not something I would waste money on. I nearly bought an STI at one point and still may someday. They are great and far more reliable than the evo or srt4 (WHO THE HELL WANTS A NEON ANYWAY) The civic SI is a great car, for driving to and from work. Its an economy car. The problem is infact that many people think that they are made for performance. The best and most common part of this is Vtech. I LOVE it when some kid who brags how fast his honda is starts rambling about vtech. Vtech is simply a variable valve timing. Its common these days in many forms. Toyota for instance has vvti. The funny thing is honda didnt make vtech for power or performance. It was built for ECONOMY. Honda was looking for a way to make their cars better on fuel and not be the slowest things on the plannet. The system lets the car have good mileage and still be able to move a little. that is all.

Now the age old wing debate. Saying the book shelf wings on the STI and evo are functional is a joke. Yes they do create some downforce at high speeds. Neither of them really create all that much. Not to mention The general consumer doesnt need any added downforce from a wing that size. A small trunk mounted spoiler can more than be enough for almost everyone. The huge wing really would only matter if you were taking the car on the nurburgring or other HUGE ass race track. They are there for looks and to sell the cars. I have had rice boys try to convince me they need it for the 1/4. WTF?

Finaly i gotta say

Wait... does that mean I'll be a douchebag when I buy my pacecar?! :'(
NO You will rule. If you are refering to the turbo TA pace car from years back then thats a great choice. The block of a grand national, different heads, and less weight. GREAT choice

..7 Dodge Ram: This list wouldn't be complete without the country douchebag cousin. Out of all the trucks, none has spurned a douchebag craze like the Hemi toting ram. With it's big grille, sunburnt, dirty, tattoo'd arm hanging out the window, and a confederate flag adorning the rear window, this truckload of douchebaggery will bear down on any little car that happens to be in front of them, tail gating them until they can snarl their overstressed engine to gradually pass by. Loud and awful sounding exhausts along with gun racks and cam seat covers are common place on these rural douche haulers. Just make sure you have a decent bit of distance between these tailgating SOBs if you decide to brake check these lunatics, trucks aren't known for their ability to stop.

..6 Trans-Am: A hardy choice for a midlevel douchebag, Trans-ams are notorious for their owners complete lack of self control when it comes to showing off their badass plastic muscle car. Revving their obnoxiously loud engines at anything with 4 wheels and an audible engine, these douchebags are always looking for a chance to show off their douchebaggery. More often than not, some slack-jawed yokel, upon being called such, will utter phrases like "well what do you drive" or "my ****'s faster'n yours". This boondock douchebag call, while not limited to trans-am drivers, is often followed by a big burnout , no matter how thick the traffic is, and a middle finger. It should be noted, these douchebags appear to network with other douchebags to form douche convoys.

..5 Camaro SS: The companion douchebag to the trans-am, these ****y bastards have taken a notch above the trans-am because of the ego boost their SS badge gives them. SS, standing for Super Small, is a reference to their ***** size. Often the SS douchebag (lol sounds like a ship full of pussies) will try to show off for his inbred girlfriend by racing vehicles that aren't acknowledging a race, or participating in the douchebaggery of trans-am owners, as stated above. On top of burnouts, donuts, and being obnoxious, they firmly believe the SS badge of their Camaro gives them super powers over other Camaros, even V8s, inspite of a weight difference not over come by the marginal power difference.

..4 Mustang Cobra: The crowning douchebag of the V8, the Mustang Cobra reigns supreme in their godlike douchebaggery. Cobra douchebags suffer from a Napoleonic complex that their cars are the greatest vehicles ever made. The fact that can be fast is the primary fuel for this ego. However, when these douchebags are bested they fall back on a douchebag cliche as old as time. People who think their car sucks are jealous of it, and wish they could afford the bourgeois pricetag of a $27000-$30000 car. They are also prone to excuse making, from the design of the car, to the fact that some of these douchebags just don't know how to drive them. These are all excuses levied to try and quell the flood of criticism of the small-dicked, arrogant douchebag when they try to show off more than they are able.

.Well....I'd love to own the dodge ram for work and cartin the kids around, the trans-am has always been one of my favorite cars and the camaro is another. The mustang cobra s a nice car as well, guess that makes me a douchebag, so fuck it!

That wasn't the one I was talking about, but that sounds like a pretty sweet, meaty car to drive on a Saturday afternoon! The one that I am mildly obsessed with is the 1969 Camaro RS/SS Pacecar - the convertible version - with the 396, not the 350!

And I agree with everyone who said that the H2s and H3s need to be on the list. After all, a Hummer is just big ugly pieces of sheet metal on a pickup truck chassis! Anyone who actually wants to do any serious driving (off-roading, hauling, etc) would just get a truck. Yuppies buy Hummers.

For real off road action, you get a Range Rover. ;)

No offense to anyone that may own one of these vehicles...but I've always thought anyone that drives a minivan is an instant douchebag.

I always thought so, too, and never thought I'd even consider driving one. Until, that is, I started moving every few months, and got sick of borrowing trucks, vans, trying to pack shit into fucking cars, etc. Plus in a pinch, on a road trip, you can sleep in one comfortably instead of trying to relax in your car seat.

There's no doubt about trying to prove your manhood, or compensate for a tiny little peepee in one of these things, either, which is kind of cool. There's a very simple way to demonstrate whether you have a tiny peepee or not, anyway--though it could land you in jail if you aren't careful.

Would it be my first choice? Fuck no. Do I care what people think of me for driving it? Fuck no.

But what is funny is that a study found a few years ago that minivan drivers were the most common road ragers--whether that is still true I have no idea.

I still think it's a great list, and very amusing, even if minivans were added. They probably should be, on general principle.

Indeed, however. we are talking about different kinds of tracks. I challenge you to find ANY owner of an sti or evo (both have book shelf wings) that needs the wing in the US. Truth is there are a few. I even met ONE. But the tracks in the US that allow an average person to drive on in the US simply arent made for those kind of speeds. You cant just go do indianapolis and run the track like you can in germany. Nope you are stuck with small SCCA type tracks for the most part. The common tracks that the evo or sti run in the US are quite short and tight. Thus negating the need for such an absurd wing. You cant even justify that wing on that car on the salt flats for those cars. The porsche GT3 doesnt have a wing like that. There is no one that can claim their stock evo or sti can come anywhere close to touching the GT3 on any course at all.

You said it yourself. There are few. Moreso here in Germany. But few still equals some.

However, it IS useful in rally races, which the rally STi was made for. Since the STi sold by Subaru to "civilian" customers is supposed to be a "street legal" version of the rally version of the STi, it seems only natural that it should have the wing. It's part of it. Useful or not, civilians want it as accurate as possible to emulate the rally use STi. May be stupid to some, but hey, I want one!

I also think the wing fits the car. As does the Evo's. Personal preference I suppose, and we shouldn't be insulting people for their personal preference. (Not directed at you Res, but some others in this thread). For example, I don't care for the loud obnoxious "tin can" exhausts on tiny 4 bangers like Honda Civics. But I don't go around saying "Those people are SO stupid because they think that sounds cool!" Obviously they like it, and it doesn't mean they're "stupid" or "have tiny dicks" ::) What's next, I must have tiny tits because I want an STi, so I must compensate with the car?

I do despise the nasty exhausts that many use on their little engines. I could spend hours explaining exhausts and why lannear (yes that is the right spelling for that word) flow is important, but i am lazy and would bore most of you. what you like is opinion and in no reason makes you stupid. Being under the impression that you are gaining lots of power with the fart can however would make someone stupid.

It's supposed to be a joke, remember.

Like much humor, there is some basis in real life. Guys with tiny peepees tend to overcompensate by being loud (loud in the sense of being tacky and trying really hard) and obnoxious, and driving loud and obnoxious cars, and by driving like assholes.

I have met so many of these idiots--trust me they are out there, hordes of them--and so have the vast majority of our members. So we laugh at them, as they deserve to be laughed at. It doesn't mean that everyone who drives a Ram truck or a minivan is a douchebag, but it's funny to laugh at the ones who are.

I hope you are laughing when you say that--remember, I drive one of those too, lol!

While I love the thing--beat up as it is--and it has proven extremely useful not only to me, but as a 'Stripperwagon' in Daytona Beach especially, I can also see how ridiculous it is at the same time.

Since the last thing I would ever use to measure myself as a man is the car I drive, I can laugh at it.

Jay Zeno

I hope you are laughing when you sayOh, yeah. When you've got the brood to move around, you care a lot less about what others think of you and a lot more about how you can just get stuff done. I've never judged someone by the car they drive. It's just a way to get you and yours from point A to point B, and different people have different tastes.

The true funny here is how psychological that is. And how "penis" is metaphorical for anything. Developed more by the onlooker who's trying to figure out why you just put 4k worth of rims on your ford fiesta having, never seen you before. "He's overcompensating."

It's actually a very small amount of people that do ANYTHING to an extreme for anything other than that reaction. Positive and or Negative as it is.

Some people just like cars.

And so begins one of our nation's proudest and funniest jokes about our misinterpretation and self-designated opinions of how others should spend their money.

Us TRUE people with small penis's tend to spend more time misleading you in how big it is, How we women who like 5" or more are size queens, and pointing out other's shortcomings to make our own look less noticeable.

But when we're alone together in the bedroom they all say the same thing. "Is this it?" :'(

Mast.

(p.s. I was just noticing a comment and commenting on it. The fact is, almost NOTHING is directly tied to a person's penis size, because most men are truly ignorant where they fit in and MOST are only concerned with size in fear of rejection.)

This is a dumb list. Ity is the owners/drivers who do this, perhaps aided a bit by their fantasy of the car image.

More relevant would be a list of the so many currently-made autos that are so DAMNABLY UGLY.

Previously (before about 5-6 ys ago) many were just plain janes and some had some beautiful features. But now very few now are not as ugly as a baboon's butt. WHY????

Whoops.

It's supposed to be a joke. Of course not all guys with tiny peepees drive big loud cars, or drive like assholes.

Hey, my dad--in spite of having size 13 shoes, is supposedly only average sized, and he drives better than I do. Regrettably, my mom once told me that my stepdad was tiny, but he drives better than either of us.

To anyone with a small penis, I didn't mean to offend you. I'm really sorry...
