The place I wanna work at probably won't be at $300 for a full course, but probably around $100/person. I'd really like to try my luck down there..I'm just so nervouse..
I think you'll do just fine. You have a well put together appearance and you're well spoken. These are things I personally like in a person that's going to handle my food and be a part of my dining experience.

Whirlerz, I'm in luck. My buddy who I dance with told me she used to work at the restaurant. So she'll be my reference too. Downside is that the manager is a lady lol..So yea, no pheremones :D

Waitressing can make you some great money...especially if you work somewhere with a bar where you can cocktail after dinner hours....i used to make anywhere from 150-300 bucks a night.....never under a 100. Dont work at applebees...i lasted a month there...it wasnt a fn place to work and the money isnt that good since they have like 15 servers at once.

Oh gods...I used to work for Red Lobster..never have I had a worse job...those people are evil! They measure seams on your shirt to make sure its not a quarter of an inch off, everything is timed to the second, ect. (30 seconds to greet the customer, 2 minutes to get salads out) Oooh, I waitressed several places, but this was the worst. Customers get evil about those biscuits too! 'Hi how are you tonight?' "Wheres my biscuits?!" *resist temptation to choke customer with said buscuit* Yeah...I dont wait tables anymore...
lmao!

As chipping in my two cents fairly late, but were I to go back to food service, I would either work in banquets or bartend. Banquet serving, you get a flat rate plus tips AND it's a lot of fun. Bartending is a lot of fun and you're less dependant on the whims of your clients.

i am a waitress and I hate it!! you have to put up with people for an hour just to get a measly few dollar tip. sometimes people leave good tips, but you dont know till the end. so you bust your ass for everyone, even people who end up not tipping! and you have to claim tips based on your sales at the end of the night and that doesn't take into account that you tipped out busboys/food runners, and that some people might not have tipped you
