Escada: I haven't worn it in a while (except out in civilian life) so I decided to wear it last night and got rave reviews from customers!

Ralph Lauren Romance is my classic

Juicy Couture's new scent is actually similar to Romance, but slightly more musky and deep

And the new Coach is amazing!

Well, D & G Light Blue seems to be the most popular. I like it, but I definitely won't wear it at work now! I used to wear Lolita Lempicka at work and recieved lots of compliments on it. Definitely a unique and sexy fragrance that not many girls wear. I may have to go buy it again...

Haha, cute avatar, K.
I dunno, I have allergies, but sometimes I wear this pheremone roll on, it kinda smells Pina-Colada-like.

Yes! I love smelling like sweet goodness. Having milk chocolate skin and smelling like chocolate works wonders!

I am such a fan of Chanel #5, its so nice and just so totally me.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a really light and fresh or fruity perfume? (nothing like Chanel No.5)

I thought I found the perfect perfume for me (Aquolina Pink Sugar) but when I wore it around my bf he just had a funny smirk on his face and knew exactly what it was. Turns out his ex wore the same scent and now I feel weird wearing it because it reminds him of her.

I've never really worn them before because some of the really floral or old lady scents just make my eyes water and my nose burn but after trying Pink Sugar I know there has to be a cute one out there for me

I want to get "CREED" Virgin Islands. It's a French perfume. It's smells like coconutt and lime. So good, like a fruit and it lasts. Doesn't smell like a perfume. My co-worker just got it at Bloomingdales.

^^I love Britney Spears Fantasy (haven't tried the new Midnight) and Lolita Lempicka. Both are fruity but still sexy. Lolita Lempicka is like an undiscovered gem to me. I try not to buy anything that I see mentioned a lot or that is super popular, since I don't want to smell like anyone else. If I think of any others, I'll let ya know.

Thanks LatinaRose! I'll try to hunt down the Lolita Lempicka. I totally agree with not wanting to wear something that everyone else is. I knew someone would come through with an offbeat perfume :propeller

They always have Lolita at ULTA and Sephora. Try one of those maybe. You might like DKNY Be Delicious. It's a little stronger, but reminds me of caramel apples. You would probably like the second and third britney perfumes. Fantasy and ??? Check out Clinique Happy too. It's been around forever, but it has such a nice, citrusy scent. It really is uplifting and happy.

Yeah it's not hard to find Lolita, it's just that I've only met one other chick that wears it. If you go on sephora.com, you can search by what type of perfume you like:

I like to see what a perfume I like is classified as (oriental, woody, floral, etc) then look at others in that category.

I used to wear Amor Amor by Carcheral and always got a ton of compliments on it... But I'm totally in love with Bulgari Au the Rouge, reminds me a discontinued lotion that I used to wear all the time and loved.

Versace - Bright Crystal : Most of the time
Kookai - Oui-Non : When I feel like I need a heavier scent
BBW - Sweet Pea Body Spray : When I feel like mixing it up
Stila - Jade Blossom : When I forget to put anything on, I usually have this in my bag.

(There's this VS scent that I dont think they even make anymore and I cannot for the life of me find it or know the name... it's in an orange bottle that is curvy on one side and flat on the other... it has a gold lid/top... it's probably from about 5+ years ago at this point. It's very light and fresh? sorta floral but not overly flowery if that makes sense. Anyone know what it is?)

Shalimar by Guerlain is my absolute favorite perfume.

But in the club I usually wear either Lavender/Violet or Carnation by Penningtons of Bath. They make inexpensive products, yet they don't have that.... cheap... smell to them. I'm pretty pleased with this stuff.

I have a new one that I love and I think you ladies will like it too. It's a line called Sula and it is available at Ulta. All of their scents (8 in total) are made to be layered with each other or worn alone. So you can totally create your own unique scent. They are fairly inexpensive too - $32 for a full size or $30 for a set of two smaller bottles to layer. I sprayed Champagne Sugar on earlier and I can't stop smelling my wrist. Smells like something yummy you can eat, so if you like food-y scents that aren't body spray, you'll love it.

I'm buying the Socialite and Supermodel sets on Monday. 4 scents that can be layered or worn alone for $60? Cant beat that!!

Roulette
04-08-2007, 12:37 PM
so are they all supposed to be stand alone or are some of them just meant to be layered with others? because I dont see Vixen on the website as a stand alone but Stiletto is... just curious. I think I'll stop by Ulta next week and check them out.

LatinaRose
04-08-2007, 02:28 PM
I think they are all meant to stand alone or be layered. If you look on the site, Vixen is a combination of two scents, that's why you don't see it on it's own.

J'Adore is my favorite, hands down.

I bought Bulgari Voile de Jasmin the other day, and I'm SO disappointed! It fades so quick... anyone know how to fix this or should I just bathe in it lol?

I thought about that, didn't know if they made one, however. I got the perfume at Sephora but there's a Bulgari store in the Forum Shops I'll go check out.

My boyfriend bought me the new Lacoste perfume in December and I love it!

Inspiration
Freedom was the source of inspiration for Inspiration - the freedom to express your emotions to the fullest, to live with pleasure and spontaneity, and to make of each day a new adventure.

This optimistic fragrance, nestled sensually in its sky-blue box, blends a sweet, fruity opening with Mirabelle-plum accord and a pinch of pink pepper. A voluptuous, powerful floral heart softened with lily-of-the-valley melds into a warm, gentle trail that blends powdery, woodsy, and vanilla notes.
Notes:
Mirabelle Plum, Pink Pepper, Pomegranate, Mandarin Orange, Tuberose, Peony, Jasmine, Lily-of-the-Valley, Iris, Musks, Vanilla, Sandalwood.
Style:
Free-spirited. Fresh. Sensual.

Pi for men by Givenchy.

Narciso Rodriguez for Women.

Michael Kors for Women.

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab:

Perversion - The perfect scent to wear to your next bondage ball, dungeon adventure or sojourn to your favorite pleasure dome. Smoky rum and black tobacco with a whisper of steamy leather with a splash of crystalline chardonnay, layered over a sensual, sweet, and deceptively magnetic base of tonka.

Whip - Agony and ecstasy: black leather and damp red rose.

De Sade - The essence of pleasure heightened by pain: the raw scent of leather.

my faves are:

lolita lempika - the original
bulgari - omnia (the deep red colored one)
tom ford - black orchid (the original not the veil of the flowers one.

and i'm looking forward to trying the new tom ford "white patchouli" which i'm hoping the patch is very muted in. when it's too bold it reminds me of high school and hippies... but it's nice as an under tone when mixed with the right kind of other notes. i also sniffed a mag sample of ralph laurens new "notorious" and i'm on the fence about it. that's good so far considering i sniff most of those things and instantly make a "eww" face. i'll have to try it at the store to see what it's actually like.

i tried this and loved it for the first couple hours i wore it... then it turned to the smell of bug spray on me. like, seriously, "off" bug spray. try it on your skin b4 you consider buying it. could just be that it doesn't mix with my chemistry well.
