Yay-I have lunch and some shopping scheduled with a friend from my old club before work today. Yay for potential dancer-buddies. I miss having women my age (and profession) to hang out with.

At the least, it might teach you not to do it again! (if you can help it.) (Cuz that's what I'm thinkin.)

I cant work while I'm in school because I have school and I have my unpaid internship. it sucks. I mean I love both of them, but I am almost out of money and still have 2 more months left. I need to figure out some way to squeeze in a shift or two here and there.

I found adorable chihuahua/yorkie/pug mix puppies online but the number goes right to voicemail, meanwhile a lady called me back on chihuahua puppies. I want the mixed puppies but...oh I don't know. I want them to call me back!

Damn my procrastination. I realized last night that my bf's birthday is on the 15th and I hadn't gotten him anything yet. He keeps saying his room is boring and he needs posters so I ordered three but they definitely won't make it in time for his birthday.
Boo. I wonder what I should do in the meantime.

Job rant.
Why is it that I have to make every effort to get to work on time, but managers make no effort to let me leave after my 8 hour shift is up?
It's almost as if they make me stay over just because they can. They enjoy the power trip. Last night I worked 9.5 hours.
The night before I was forced to stay 45 minutes after the last club patron left. I was told to sit at the bar and have a drink. I would ratehr go home than drink.
So after getting home at 10am, we have a mandatory meeting at 7pm tonight, then back to work at 11. I have had 4 hours of sleep.
Funniest thing is they said the meeting is mandatory for everyone, dancers included. Ha. I would love to see a dancer show up for a "mandatory" meeting. If I was a dancer, I wouldn't go. I'm already half temped to not go anyway, btu I wanna complain abotu this overtime crap.
I actually concidered just showing up for work an hour later and when they ask why I'm so late I'll just say...well, you guys don't seem to care if we have to work later than our scheduled shift, so I didn't think it mattered if I came in later than my sdcheduled shift. Why shoudl I try to get here on time if you don't try to let me leave on time?
I hate this job.
All the other waitresses just stop working around 5am, leaving me to work the whole club, and clean it all up. I run around cleanign and doing everythign while they sit at the bar. Then I'm the one who has to stay an hour or 2 over my shift. fuck this.
I'm thisclose to nevershowing up again and going back to dancing, but I think I hate that to.
I am tired of strip clubs in general, and tired of the asshole managers that go along with it. At least as a stripper I was still my own business, and didn't have to put up with manager shit.

Lady Jade! I just now read thru the last few pages, and I'm so so so sorry you have to go through this! Your poor boyfriend...so young.
For shirts try Gap Kids or what's that other kids store in the mall....they'll fit if you get them in L or XL.
It IS hard to find, I used to spend lots of $$ tailoring them (cuz they required so much) until I went to the kiddie stores, I have snap buttons and regular buttons, in sturdy cotton that comes out well with an iron & with one simple pocket, etc.

^^^ Thanks for the suggestion, I'll remember that the next time I need to find button-down shirts. I ended up finding a short-sleeved one at Charlotte Russe for $4.75, which should look just fine with my suit. I hope.
This has been such an exhausting couple of days, I dont even know how I'm able to function. Between the 6 of us, we've made hundreds of phone calls to everyone we can think of, and there were still people we managed to forget! Of course, they did print the obituary in the newspaper. Unfortunately, they neglected to print the name of the funeral home where the viewings are going to be tomorrow. ::)

It is 10:26 on Saturday night. I am double dosing on advil and consuming all chocolate in the house. I would say it has been a completely unproductive day due to pms. I have showered (which req'd commute because I neglected to pay the gas bill.) I also psychologically castrated at least 2 well-meaning friends.
I would really like to work in order to save for my breast aug tonight, but I am afraid it will only result in overconsumption of alcohol, uncontrollable crying, and possible corporal punishment of unsuspecting customers.
I MUST get back on birth control. Soon, THE END of irrational mood swings, painful swollen breasts, and extensive bleeding from what should be a pleasurable orifice.

God I want my own pole - and I want a brass one - they had a cheap one, but it kinda served it purpose.
Ugh - talked to my man today. he said he'd leave me if I ever danced again. I was so upset with him. I still dont know what to say to him because I do not think its fair at all!! I love dancing!!

Ugh, I am so mad at my mother! When I told her Friday morning that boy's mother just died, she said she wanted to go to the wake on Sunday. She was going to a funeral on Friday, but she was going to be home Saturday. Well, it's almost 2 am and she's not home nor is she answering her cell phone. This sucks because 2 of my younger sisters want to go but neither one can drive (one's 14 and the other doesn't have a license). There's not enough time in between the 2 viewings for me to get the kids back home and get me back in time, but I don't want to keep the little one up too late since she has school on Monday. *sigh* This blows...
