With every passing day, week, month, and year I think: "Is this as good as it'll ever be? It has to get better than this, otherwise what's the point?" Then every passing day, week, month, and year is exactly the same. No better, no worse.

Hope is powerful.

^Hope is powerful, Lestat, but sometimes I wonder if it's enough to keep going on. I manage to keep going on a powerful concoction of hope, bitterness, cynicism and the knowledge that there's still too many people I have to piss off before I die.

Last night a guy bitched at me for taking too long to take off my dress during our lapdance. WTF?!? I have never had anyone say this in 2+ years of dancing, apparently you're saposto take everything off at mach 1 speed before the song even starts and then give heavy friction the whole time. Idiot.

Ugh I got up at 6am to drive The Hubby to his carpool location. NOBODY SHOULD BE AWAKE AT 6AM. I should make a PSA for that.

The plus side is that I got to talk to my friends in Korea. Unfortunately, now I can't go back to sleep. Wahhhh I'll have to start being "productive."

I have a 5:45am shift! It's 9 hours, but it's a thousand dollars, so I can't complain. And it's a thousand dollars to go fishing topless on a boat and tan! Sweet. And then after that I have two $490 shows(extra money for driving time)... which sucks because that means I'm $20 away from making $2000 in a day. I'm already beating my record by like $300, but I'm SOOOOO close to $2000 it's not funny. ARGH! I'm hoping I can convince the boaters to have me go nude for another $40 per hour so I can make another four hundred or so bucks. Or upgrade one of my shows.

Sadly this means I'm working from 3:30am (when I have to leave my house to pick up my duo partner) until 11pm (when I am DUE to arrive home - earliest) and then I have to be at the airport at NOON to pick up my mother and take her shopping!

I -was- supposed to be on holidays, actually, but I couldn't pass up that sweet sweet money.

Fuck, I love my job. I love the money. I love being able to spend it on my mother so she can finally be proud of me.

I also picked up a silly 2 hour waitressing gig today as a 'pleaseplease' favour for my boss because the other girl backed out and ended up going from making $110 in two hours to $425 for two hours. P:

I'm so good at upselling it's not funny.

Sorry to brag, just SUPER happy.

I'm so depressed now. Someone on mypace sent out a bulletin, and in this bulletin was a youtube video about foreign countries and animal cruelty. I got like 20 seconds into it before I had to stop it. I saw a man just taking a dog (alive) and throwing it over his shoulder and then slamming it into the f'ing ground. I hate to be prejudiced in any way but that shit is f'ckd up. I know they don't look at dogs and cats as we do but still. How can you do that to a defenseless animal that trusts you?? They are fucking barbarians in these other countries. No morals. I'm so upset.

I know I know. I'm spending a week with my mum and I THOUGHT she arrived Friday and she actually arrives Sunday so I had taken this week off... so I had already saved all my 'holiday money' last week for her visit. And when I found out I could work this weekend, I picked up some shifts (last minute, though) so I could have some more 'play money' for my mum. I didn't expect to do THIS well this week, either. I kinda just wanted to make a few extra hundred. But then I got two far away shows (3 hours drive each at $70 per hour travel pay - but both are right next to eachother - we still have to charge them both the travel fee!!) and then the boat shift.... ooooh. Now I can not only take my mum out - I can REALLY show her around town.

...and fix my car. >_>

I get the best jobs sometimes! I'm only topless for the money - nude is extra!

When I met Dry it was because I was doing topless card dealing for some half-million dollar game he was having on his island.

And there's been times where I was paid to receive massages because the guys were so 'e'd up they just wanted to feel skin.

I was also once paid $200 to walk around on all fours for half an hour meowing like a cat.

I love the weird jobs. <3

Really?? Wow. Ms. Naive over here. :-[ I guess I don't hear too much about it happening in the U.S. I remember one story about a guy that tied his dog to the back of his pick up and dragged him for miles. But that's the only story I've really heard happening in the U.S. And that def. bothered me for a long time. Grrr!

Yeah, it's really sad-plenty of Americans think it's okay to treat animals badly. I won't look at those animal abuse videos myself, because I've cry and hurl at the same time. Look at the Michael Vick dogfighting crimes!

I once saw a woman drag her dog on a leash so that it tripped and spun over and was pulled along on its back. Unfortunately by the time I could pull my car over and get out to yell at her she had gone inside or hid, and I didn't know which house. >:(

We are barbarians/moral-less everywhere.

I thought this was cute...

5 minute management course

Lesson 2:
A priest offered a Nun a lift.
She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg.
The priest nearly had an accident.
After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg.
The nun said, "Father, remember Psalm 129?"
The priest removed his hand. But, changing gears, he let his hand slide
up her leg again.
The nun once again said, "Father, remember Psalm 129?"
The priest apologized "Sorry sister but the flesh is weak."
Arriving at the convent, the nun sighed heavily and went on her way.
On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It
said, "Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory."
-
Moral of the story:
If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great
opportunity.
