I love how much my husband supports lush.
He's started using my lush soaps in the shower in the morning and he smells SOOO GOOD when he gets back in bed to give me my kisses. I just sniff sniff sniff at him while he smothers me in kisses.
We have baby class tonight and i told him he better be on his best behavior.
Last week we got in a big fight about it, I hope this week is better.
I have my first pants down Appointment today at the dr. I'm hoping he's going to tell me i'm dilated and she's coming early.
I'm officially over being pregnant!!!
My bf got some Avobath bombs at the Lush sale-I think he's slowly being converted, despite his vague sense of machismo.
I hope the baby stuff goes well. Maybe they can coax the baby out with some Lush?

Aw, phillyvixen, you are such a sweetheart. And I'm hoping your doctor's appointment goes well--I'll be thinking about both you and kitty260! You poor gals need to--for lack of a more entertaining phrase--'pop 'em out already!'

Oh, and is the greatest thing in Portland, seriously. The absolute most delicious delivery pizza I've ever had, good service, they deliver movies too, and they deliver until 4 a.m.! And all fresh, sustainable, local, mostly organic ingredients. I'm in love.

Last night she was super active and i was super crampy and achy so i took a lush bath and that settled her right down! AHh the powers of lush! She is a lush addict in the making. My poor husband has to support a houseful of lush heads.
Stella- pop em out is much nicer then when my husband says shit her out. I hate when he says that!

I'm badly overstretched at work, I don't care for my boss (never have) and I'm not invested in my job after seven years. I want OUT. Even better, I want to take a break from publishing, an industry that these days feels like working on a runaway locomotive, and focus on the domestic side of my life (rehab the house, travel for pleasure, etc.).
Rant over.

I wish I could remember who sings "Overkill." Why is it that I refuse to google such things? It's like I've failed if I can't remember the name of artists I know and love. I know he sang on the Garden State soundtrack...Argh...

I had lovely musings in my Lush comforter bath. In the spirit of waxing poetic, I think I shall share.
My breast, a lily;
It peeks, pink, pert, through white froth;
Sighs, subdued, submerged.
And more, of a poetic prose ramble nature.
The reason I love dark chocolate is because it is so very alive. You can almost taste its heartbeat; its curiosity. Dark chocolate melts on your tongue like family history. Trace each subtle syllable down to its core; it reveals a new secret with every bite.
(I feel like I could go on forever with that last one. Haven't felt such lovely language in a long time! Ahhh the inspiration of a hot bubble bath and chocolate.)

RENT is holding its last Broadway performance on the evening of June 1st. After 12 years, it'll be over. :(
I'm so glad I got to see it, at least, before it ended.
booooooooooooooooo. i love rent.
britt, I sent you a letter like last wednesday I think.
hmm. i didnt get it yet!
ok, lush is annoying me. i emailed customer service about how i was rung up way wrong for clean slate and overcharged (bubble bars werent rung up buy 1 get 2.. they were rung up regular.. and they were all marked as being clean slate. this was in nyc so its not like i couldve gone back!) and they emailed back asking what items were missing from my order, saying they would ship them to me. ok. no. not quite right. everything i put on the counter was put in my bag. i was just charged way too much. i got 7 bubble bars. i shouldve been charged for 3 and gotten 2 more for free.

i paid about $50 for those bubble bars and i shouldve paid $22 and gotten 2 more bars. how would i get more lush? lie and say i left things there?
SundayMorning
01-16-2008, 02:12 PM
No, I was just figuring they would rather send you more stuff to make it come out to a buy-1-get-2 rather than refund you. So you paid for 7 and you get 21 more bars!
britt244
01-16-2008, 02:13 PM
^ if she suggested that, that would be awesome! unfortunately i dont think that's going to happen. she said "clean slate is over soon" so what? is she saying i can only get clean slate things that are left? because thats really unfair. thats their mistake, not my fault.

Yeah, totally. I'd be pissed if their solution is "too bad for you." You said this was from calling Customer Care? You haven't tried going back to the store to see if they'll do anything for you?
I had to call the cops AGAIN on this new violent couple downstairs today! They arrested the bastard and the couple was asked to move. Apparently the asshole threw his girlfriend up against the wall... and I could hear some poor child screaming and crying the whole time. >:( Thank God they are taking care of it! We just bought a fuckton of groceries and I'm cooking delicious veggie meals every night for a week. I can't wait! Tonight is a stew of lentils, mushroom, and leek cooked in white wine and garlic, served with mashed potatoes. Thursday is spaghetti bolognaise with tofu "meat"balls, Friday will be broccoli-cauliflower au gratin (lowfat and vegan) with fresh homemade rice/oat/polenta bread; Saturday is tofu-veggie-nut chili with salad. Sunday we're doing gingerbread waffles with orange syrup and fruit for brunch, and multigrain chips with black bean and corn dip for dinner. Monday we'll have veggie biryani with brown basmati rice, and on Tuesday we'll have tamale pie with a salad.
So which night is everyone coming over? :D

Leeks and taters are tonight, so come on over!
I just remembered we don't have a waffle iron anymore, so I guess it'll be gingerbread pancakes instead of waffles, LOL! Oh well. We're doing it all from scratch. There's a store near us where you can buy every kind of spice imaginable, and in bulk so you only get what you want; we went there and K insisted on getting whole nutmeg so he has an excuse to use his little bowl-and-pestle set. He's so cute!
Hm, we should get some oranges and run 'em through the juicer and make mimosas with fresh-squeezed OJ on Sunday, to go with our gingerbread p'akes and orange syrup. Seriously, we'll have a ton, so if anyone in Portland wants to come over on Sunday for brunch, PM me. I need to meet some of you ladies, I have no one to hang out with here!

Get up here!! That would be effing awesome. There's tons and tons of adult work up here, and healthy food, and stuff to do, and it's not expensive to live here, and there's even great public transport. I love this town so much it's nauseating.
Oh, and if you can read, you can cook. There's a cookbook out there for just about everyone. If you want to learn to cook, just follow recipes for awhile until you learn the basics of how things work and then you can take off and experiment from there. I love to cook, but it's not really a skill; anyone can do it.

I will def. keep it in mind when we are ready to move. (which may be soon if circumstances dont change).
Tons of adult work? In Portland?? Really? Why dont I know about this?? If thats true...I will SO get my agent to book me there so I can come stay with you and have you cook for me. Nothing like a little yummy veggie home cooking after being gang banged on camera all day!}:D
Cooking IS a skill...trust me. I have about 4 dishes I can make from scratch well(one being chicken parm which is so easy it shouldnt even count)...the rest of what I cook usually involves something boiling-in-a-bag. I've tried to cook..somehow I screw it up even when I follow the recipe to a T. Oh well. Thats what spaghetti and take out are for right? (and friends who can cook....lol)

 Well, I see plenty in the adult gigs section of Craigslist, anyway. And more strip clubs than any other city in the world. And live sex shows are legal in Oregon now, so there's probably some of that too, woohoo. Plus now that we're both on Naked.com we can webcam together! }:D
Totally come up for a visit anytime you like. We have a two-bedroom place and a big ass comfy couch and we even have cable TV now (I know, I know, I know). And a fireplace, and a huge balcony with a hummingbird living on it, and my big fat tabbycat, and I will feed you and feed you like a calf for the slaughter. Tell your agent to make it happen!

i'm annoyed. maybe i shouldnt be. i was hired at the school to work mon/wed/fri/. the teacher in my classroom KNOWS that i go to work from there, and that the reason i work my "bartending" job on those nights is so i won't ever have to on the nights before i go on there. they'er already starting to ask me if i can pick up extra days. um, this isnt a flexible schedule. its either a full time orp art time job and the part time part doesnt change. and i'm pissed that theyre asking me to take on extra days. this is the only time i will ever say yes, because they shouldn't even ask. if they didn't want a part time person in that room, they shouldn't have hired me. period. i made it very clear that i was ONLY interested in a part time position.
i already missed last mon at the club bc of orientation tuesday. this monday because of behavioral training tuesday. tonight i'm going in for 3 hours because i have to wake up early again tomorrow but i cant miss another night at the club. picking up an extra 12/hr day at the school makes me LOSE money because then i cant dance as much. not to mention my body is sore all over from this behavioral training. we have to take turns being the student and let me tll you it is painful when someone does a move incorrectly.
am i wrong to be frustrated?

Haven't got a clue why cool smiley came up should have been an 8!
because you typed 8 right next to the closing bracket ) of your sentence thus you got 8) which just like will happen once I post this message will display the "cool" emoticon.
There in my lesson ends. hehehe.
So I'm sitting here. Wasting time. Waiting for Bunny's doctor (aka the mechanic) to give me a call to say when I will be able to pick her up and/or if they have found anything else wrong with her and what I want fixed besides a minor service.
I can't ride Blowfly (my moped motorcycle) as I need to get her RWC so I can give her to Lysondra. Unfortuantely, that is going to have to wait until next week due to the unexpectant cost of putting new tyres on Bunny.
I can't ride my Bicycle as I need to get the front tyre changed since it is flat and the bolt is just not moving... so I need to take my Bicycle to a Bicycle place, pay $15 and get that tyre changed before I can use it again.
That won't happen until next week or the week after at this stage.
Meanwhile, at least I'll be getting a new laptop (my first ever MAC) this week or next week or whenever soonest I can get to the store I want to purchase it from... http://www.nextbyte.com.au/nblocationsQLD.html
