I woke up today with a stye in my eye. How lucky is that? ::)
Can't work if I can't see or wear makeup.

What the hell is going on with this thread? It's like the thread on fucking crack.
I mean the kind you smoke, not the one(s) you sit on. "Fucking crack" is kinda more visual than I expected.
Think of all the stories I could write with the title, "Fucking Crack."
Anyway, I'll need to increase bandwidth funding significantly just to support this crack-addicted thread! There are like five posts going up on this one thread simultaneously.
Oh shit, I gotta run, here comes B with a .357 Magnum and my Walther PPK is out of live ammo!

Be careful, we are treading on the Topic That Shall Not Be Discussed, you know. He has a penis, therefore he is evil. It's like a catechism, except unlike the Catholic Church, it has an enforcement squad with automatic weapons.

YAY! I finally got to the end of the random thread! I started the day with such good intentions yet have spent over 2 hours just reading this lol.
So far I have,
topped up the water in my car,
checked the tyre pressures,
supermarket shopping (£30 on cleaning products! yes I am that dirty:-[),
took the kids to school,
2 loads of washing.
I just have,
the entire house to clean,
another 5 loads of washing,
go to the gym,
go tan,
and clean the inside of my car.
So not much to do then and only 6 hours to do it. Will I do it? Will I eck I am too busy reading TRT hahahaha.

i use stuff called bepanthen, it's a cream that you use on your nipples to relieve chaffing while breast feeding. that's what every tattooist i've ever been to has said to use.

Well so far I have done;
Another load of washing,
filled the dishwasher,
cleaned the bathroom,
cleaned the downstairs toilet,
taken my daughter her lunch at school,

cleaned litter tray.

WTF DID I DO?! She went to the vet last week and came back fine. MY GUESS - one of the cats came back with depression and had to be injected with kitty hormones which make her think she's pregnant and I thinkthink the cat is marking her territory because she can smell the 'pregnancy' the other cat has.

Not to be preachy but you really should clip the wings of any bird you're going to let outside or in a room with open windows... it doesn't hurt them and is so much safer than risking them flying out a window (or slipping out of the leash) and getting eaten by a rottie or stray cat or just plain lost.
Simone peed on my sweatshirt the other day but that was just because she was stoned from the anesthesia and confused that the litter box was in a different place for one night. I'm lucky that's the only accident either of them have had in 5 months.

I don't believe in wing clipping on parrots. It greatly dimishes their learning abilities and affection. They become more timid, aloof and upset if you do it. Allowing them time to fly a few times a day and proper care, they don't need it one bit.
In the entire year and a half I've had her this is the only time she's escaped (except that fucking time my ex's sister thought it would be fun to carry her outside) when in my control; and that was because of a broken flyscreen that is now repaired.
Her leash is not designed to be 'slipped out of' as it tightens with struggle and is very secure. She has been location-whistle trained (only responds to my call with certain whistles to be located easily) and partially recall trained just in case.
I also highly doubt I would've ever been able to train her properly had her wings been clipped once they grew back from baby birth (which is why she doesn't fly so well). Rosellas are very well known for reverting back to aviary status if mishandled and she wouldn't be tame if I didn't take proper precautions and care with her in day to day life.

No no, it has finch spacers. It's meant for a galah by size but the bars are totally thinner and made of steel and closer together. I'll take a picture sometime. I know you really shouldn't have two kinds of birds in one cage though, but they've all been tested and there's no problem. The rosie just ignores the finches and the finches do their own thing. With all the space, they barely even share the same perch.
I know they need 12 hours of sleep and they get it. The room being really dark (when they lived outside they had a cover) I don't need one. Like I said, they were even napping at 3pm (and now, again, at 4) without a cover. I tried custom making a over and it just didn't work well. I might get someone else to sew one for me. Too bad my taste changes too much... couldn't pick the colour.
That cage sounds pretty cool..I'd love to see a pic! Yeah, you arent supposed to cage birds together, but if they get along..whatever. I put my tiels and conures together from time to time. They play...when they argue, I separate them. No biggie.
The way my house is set up and where their cages are,its never dark enough. So I NEED the cover for my sanity and theirs!! If I had a dark enough place to keep them at night I would. It'd be a hell of a lot easier to close a door then wrestle with a cover every night!
edit: Duh..now I see the pic...thats SO cool!!! I love it!!

Ok..so I have a comedy movie to shoot today..so I really hope Visene works. The swelling around my eyes has gone down, but they are still sore and red. And unless I'm playing a pothead...I dont think bloodshot is the look they are going for...At least the MUA emailed me what the glue she used was so I know never to use that shit again. 3 damn days of allergy eyes. Ugh.

Odysseus, sorry your cat peed on your sweatshirt! I've always kept my birds wings clipped(and I've had them for 16 years), but really, only because I have nowhere for them to fly safely. Inside the house there are ceiling fans and a million other hazards, outside there is a pool, which I've already had one drown in. I dont EVER want that to happen again.
Mine are affectionate...sometimes to the point of annoying(my one conure will chatter to you, saying every phrase he knows ....louder and louder until you DAMN WELL pay attention and play with him!!LOL!!). I've never attempted whistle or clicker training with them...I just let them be.
Though I dream someday of having a huge house with one big, high ceilinged room with a skylight that I can turn into an indoor rainforest type aviary and they can fly free. Sigh....someday.....
oh...but SPEAKING of birds...friends told me yesterday that the pet store near them is closing and the woman has a breeding pair of green wing macaws PLUS the huge cage that she s selling for $1500!!! Anyone who knows birds knows that the cage alone is worth that much...the birds at least twice that. I've ALWAYS wanted macaws...ideally a Hyacinth(for those that dont know birds, but watch the Girls Next Door...the big blue one..Lady Macbeth..that Holly bought for Hef). But at 10 grand apiece..they are on a someday wish list too. I'm seriously thinking of calling my reg(who also loves birds) to see if he'll buy them for me. Or at least for himself..so I know they'll have a good home. At that price I fear someone will buy them who doesnt know how to deal with a breeding pair of green wings. Hubby will kill me. Well..until he finds out what healthy, hand raised green wing babies sell for.....

Yay, glad you like the cage. Was a bit worried when you didn't respond that you shutting up for arguments sake and thought my choice in cages was bad. Heh. I get weirdly nervous like that.
And yeah, if they fought, I have spare cages but 6 months with one finch and nothing... so three new finches and still no dramas whatsoever. I think it's because they're completely different species, just like in the wild, and the cage is so big.
