i have a TON of exercise dvds i dont even use..
the girls next door workout - its on comcast so i could use it for free. i used it like twice.
envy girls - 4 dvds in one.. i think i fast forwarded some of it to see what was on it.
crunch dvds - i used to use them. but i bought a yoga one i never got all the way through.
a denise austin one - yeah i turned it off after a few minutes.
a carmen electra striptease - didnt even watch the whole thing. boring.
a tracey mallet fat burning bootcamp - thought i'd like it because the ONLY workout dvd i like is one of hers.. but ive done this one once, too.
i dont know why i buy them. i should just use the on demand workouts.. with so many im sure i could find one i like. but i want pilates! and i do the one on there that i like all the time.. i need to switch it up.
LMAO, I love the one-sentence-reviews of the workout DVD's.

The fact that we've got some pretty trashy people cluttering up the board right now doesn't help matters either. Why do they come out of the woodwork as soon as Paige disappears? My SW experience has suffered severely by the quality of a few certain newbie posters (trolls, totally.)
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that I don't see any trolls. TN is a little extravagant but that's hardly a crime in my book. She's actually pretty funny, she's got a brain. And Tarstone's crime was, what, being new? Except they have been a member since 2006, just not a prolific poster--to me, that doesn't mean their opinion is any less valid than mine with my 2000+ posts. I'm really quite disappointed in the cliquish "no n00bs allowed" attitude I've seen from people I really respect.
Also gonna steal a quote from Lilith: "not all helpful advice is applause. Not all applause is helpful."

The last straw: I was finally cleaning my house when I discovered there was no water. Apparently a pipe burst somewhere and I have no water anywhere, not even anything to drink. I'm thirsty but the worst part is I have to start getting for work and I really need a bath! I stink! And it'll be a few hours before the water comes back on again.
*sigh*
Guess I'll go drag myself into work and do the baby-wipe scrub down.

I'm sorry but I just can't see someone who doesn't even know Pamela calling her a disgusting human being or a "fucktard" the way someone else did as anything other than trolling.
It's one thing to to say what someone's doing is disgusting and wrong...But to attack the person themselves with pointless name calling while offering no constructive advice is just pointless. Especially when one does so 11 times while refraining from posting anything else, whatsoever.
But I understand differing opinions.

also.. that vagiant person is a troll.
Forgot about him. He's not very noticeable.
I really do agree with you on the namecalling point. I'm normally one of the first to call out people for logical fallacies, and ad hominem is my fave flaw to point out because it really does accomplish nothing but estrange people. However, that's assuming one is making an argument. Which means that at least two people have to be arguing. That thread is the sound of one hand clapping. All the logic in the world won't change that mind. So I kind of say, yeah, that's a natural reaction to expect when a bomb like that is dropped.

True story:
Me and a buddy were on a road trip from Portland to Austin, TX. We were moving there, actually.
We'd stopped in this tiny little town in New Mexico, I forget where. Our route just nicked the corner of the state before turning in to the Texas panhandle.
We drove up and down the main street looking for a place to eat. The whole town looked deserted and it was near sunset. Finally found a SubWay open. The yellow sign and flourescent light were a contrast to the orange-red of the sunset and the red-brown of the desert.
Got our sandwiches, flirted a bit with the girl behind the counter, sat down to eat.
A big dirty ancient pickup truck pulled up, the tires crunching in the gravel. A tall, scarecrow thin old man got out, in plaid and blue jeans. His hair was the color of "whiter than white" and I remember it almost gleaming in the darkness outside the window. He looked at the car we were driving, and slowly walked into the store.
Just stood there in the doorway, half in, half out. Looked over at me and my friend.
In a voice that sounded a lot like the sound his tires had made in the gravel outside, he said, "You boys ain't from around here, are you?"
My friend (whose name is Garret) just looked at me and said, quietly, "Finish up. We're leaving."
He was so freaked out by the whole thing he swore he'd never eat at SubWay again.

The thing is...it's really not about being a newbie. It's about frequency of illegitimate/inflammatory post content. The only reason it's a newb thing (usually) is because people who've been on the site for longer than, say, a couple of days know better.
That's my take on it at least. And I don't mean that in a "post censoring" sort of way. It's just, if they have the right to post annoying things, I feel as though I have the right to be annoyed by them. Teamwork.
In all honesty, I'm probably a lot less tolerant than usual, however, due to lots of throwing up, high fever, and stress.
