They actually said that cancer isnt likely, but they want to check anyway.
That's a good thing. I'm glad it's not likely. Please take good care of yourself and call me if you need to talk.
I like your body. Damned sexy.
Then when are you going to come over here and get better acquainted with it?
They've actually lessened a lot. I'll put the red wine on my list of things to get and hopefully take a bath tonight.
Yeah, I read something that said the caffeine and other ingredients in Midol will make you feel better for a few minutes but then your cramps get worse, so you take more Midol and they make more money. And caffeine is bad for cramps (though it lessens bloat, so it's a tradeoff). Red wine and heat are the best thing - hot bath, a heating pad, whatever.

That dsani dude was such a douche. Did his thread get deleted? I certainly hope so.
On another note, I got some cute things for my secret bunny today!

I spent so much money yesterday and now I'm getting all neurotic. I haven't had a full-on shopping spree in countless years, probably more than a decade (back when I was a working teenager with money and no bills). I'm not making a regular habit of it, I've got money in savings and I'm putting another $1500 into my savings this month before I spend anything else on myself, so I really shouldn't feel guilty about it. But I can't help it.
I bought cute pretty things, pumpkin spice coffee, gorgeous vintage clothes, a skirt and shirts from American Apparel, a T-Shirt Hell shirt I've wanted for years and another one for K that he wants, a book K really wants, and a cookbook I've wanted (vegan Southern soul-food). I mean, I sorta did really need new clothes, but urgh. I can't help feeling guilty about it now even though my bills are caught up and one of my debts is paid off. It's okay for me to overhaul my wardrobe and indulge in a new cookbook, right?

Of course! You've been busting your ass forever...you need to reward yourself once in awhile or else what is it all for? Rewarding yourself motivates you to keep working..so shopping once in awhile will actually benefit you in the long run!

It's totally ok to spend on yourself, but I understand how you're feeling. I ALWAYS get kinda freaked out after treating myself. Like maybe I'll need the $$ for something important tomorrow. But don't beat yourself up. It sounds like you've been working hard lately and this doesn't happen all too often, so it's fine. Enjoy your new stuff!

Great. They found precancerous cells in my pap smear and now I have to go in Monday for a biopsy. Cervical cancer is not what I was hoping for...I kind of freaked out. Cancer runs in my family and I'm scared. I've had abnormal Paps before a cpl times in my life and they were fine when I was retested a cpl months later...this is the first time anyone suggested a biopsy.
eek! oh no :( everything will be fine.. how can it not be when you have a whole internet full of people thinking positive thoughts for you? :)

Yek, I want to know which shirts you got from tshirthell. I have "Bitch Betta Have my Hunny" and "I should be in the kitchen!" but there are several others I want (and lots that aren't in production anymore e.g. "gone fistin," wah!). :)
Cam I'm :hug:ing you with all my strength!
I miss Stella. I hope she's well. a. (I couldn't resist!)
So I found the Obama HQ and called people and left messages for about half an hour letting them know where their location is tomorrow for the primary/caucus. Then I kind of wanted to get off the phones so I volunteered to walk my neighborhood. It's already been walked but I figure it's good exercise and I can leave last minute literature. Damn, haven't done this sort of thing since I was selling girl scout cookies! 'cept I ain't got no cookies.

Last week it was donuts and this week it's cookies. Damn, I can't keep up with your slang terms, Sunday-the-motivated-volunteer!
Also, you rock.
Also, also, you reminded me that I should do my non-partisan "make sure everyone on my street is registered to vote" thing like I did in '04 and '06.

We should start a couch hopping thread where SWers offer/request couch space to sw'ers who want to visit parts of the world like for instance all the people (cough cough me) who want to visit portland again. Of course it would have to be supplemented with PMs and discretion but you get the point.
If anybody wants to come to DC, I can offer 5 bedrooms, 2 fireplaces, cable, heated pool, jacuzzi, wide-screen TV; TVs w/cable in all rooms, an excellent red wine collection and maid service. The house backs into an all wooded area, so it's quiet and calm. Can post pics (I think -- if I can find them).
Other features: Jasmine, the cock-blocking love dog, 4 guinea pigs, more deer than you can count and this enormous fat turkey that occasionally pecks at the front door.
We long ago planned to do a SWFest here. Maybe that's the best idea.
Anyway, the hotels in and around DC have some fabulous suites and one thing they have that I can't offer is room service. Yes! They also have a greater range of alcohol than I do. Hmmmm. Time to upgrade, I think. A hotel-suite-hosted party has other huge advantages.

I tried to come up with something witty about being a pastrytute or something but my head went fuzzy and ouched.
Energy levels...falling....falling....maybe I'll wait for the Hubby to come home and we can door to door together. Less chance of aggravated assault or kidnapping or something. Paranoid cat is paranoid of the strangers next door.

-I ordered pizza because the sink is full of dishes and I feel like shit. So. I grabbed my work bag and counted out a bunch of ones for the delivery guy. They have a distinct odor of Dolce & Gabbana's "Light Blue". I just think it's funny I can ascertain which girl gave me these singles by the residual perfume on them from 2 days ago.
-I watched "30 Days Of Night". How exactly do you make an interesting, gory premise so completely mundane? Sucked.
-The couch is calling to me. I do feel better then I did this morning, which is good.

How I did it was I saw it with my 15-year-old nephew and kept him in stitches the whole time. When the giant grinder first showed up, grinding up cars, I leaned over and said, "Someone's going in there later." When the main female lead was rushing to get on the last plane out of town, I whispered, "She's not going to make it." The kid giggled the whole time, and then tried to match my obviously superior knowledge of horror movie conventions. The people around us must've hated us but, damn, we had a great time.

Those are the two I just bought! I bought "Bitch Betta Have My Hunny" for K, and "I Should Be in the Kitchen!" for myself. We both already own several of their shirts, so I think it's hilarious that the two you mentioned are the two I just bought! And yeah, bummer that they took a lot of their good shirts away. They had a "Dirty Jew" shirt for only a couple of weeks and I wanted it so badly, but by the time I could afford it, it was gone. Bummer.

Monday-est Monday ever. So glad the work part is over.
Nice hot bowl of cream of onion soup and a plate of fries with ranch dressing for dinner (damn, should've put that in the "what's for dinner?" thread) then I think I might actually write a bit tonight. Tristian, my fictional alter-ego, I have not forgotten you! Among all the obstacles I, the omniscient author, have placed in-between you and your love, the blonde starlet Dava G., surely this 15-month writer's block ranks as the worst.
