i'm on the 3rd floor and i still freak out. make sure the door is locked multiple times, check my closets and under the bed, and then i'm scared because i imagine ghosts. even thinking about it makes my chest feel tight.
i used to get in trouble all the time when i lived with my parents because i always had to peek out a billion times while i was showering. water got all over. now, i have a clear shower curtain because i cant shower and not be able to see.
I'm always afraid someone is gonna break into my apartment and attack me while I'm showering. I don't have a clear curtain, but I can't keep my eyes closed for long. I guess it's cause you're really vulnerable in the shower?:-\

you really should go. seriously, its like i forget any of my problems or ANYTHING exists because i'm focused on the horse. its not like you just sit back and its easy.. its hard to move your body the right way and direct the horse and stay balanced. it's something to concentrate on and i forget everything else while i'm doing it.
i ride my horse at least four days a week and it is truly my therapy. i dont take my phone, i'm usually alone out there too. when i go out on trails i see so much beauty it makes everything right with the world.
today me and hubby went out after supper (yay daylight savings time) we rode around and just played on horseback (the barn owner lets him ride one of his) it was a blast.
as an aside my husband used to ride western so he had to have some english lessons or my mare would throw him off lol. he said today, now that i can post so well it's sooo much better. we even galloped today. so yea britt keep it up and before long it will be so much easier

Laundry is almost done. Had a light dinner. Kitchen is clean. Bathroom almost clean. A little Moby playin'. I haven't felt this relaxed in a while. It's nice.
Chick called back with more questions about my laptop but she's still not ready to buy. I think she's losing interest. Bummer. I even wiped it clean and reinstalled everything and rounded up the box and disks and cables and doodads, so nowi can't use it for myself until she decides.

i hope so! :) i can't wait til it warms up and we can go trail riding. i never realized how much i would want to go back. i never had any desire to go, i just went with my friend out of sheer boredom, and i'm glad she talked me into it! i'd be scared to be by myself i think even if i had been doing it for years.. youre brave!

See, I knew that passing your Trivial Pursuit question on to CC was a good move. No point worrying about it. :D Oh wait, you meant something else?
I was a good Sunday and finished my work. Off to sleep! Goodnight, everyone.

OH THAT'S AWESOME! Saves me heaps of hassles trying to find and bless food for charity for my last two gifts!
I am so lucky... I have a friend who wants to convert that is SUPER broke next week and can't even afford groceries. So I've got the perfect person to give to. :)

Yes indeedy! Believe it or not I've never gotten schlachmanot. I've given them, but I've hung out mostly in liberal communities where Purim is mainly just a Jewish Halloween for the little kids. Wish I belonged to a more active community. (I know, I need to get off my ass and find one here in town.)

I have one... but it's hand written so I'd have to retype the whole thing ... and the whole lazyness factor is in play again. If Yek doesn't have one though I'll totally type it out for you.

Old Man Cat is not doing well. He's also not really responding to the newer insulin. His back legs are going, and he's filthy all the time from peeing on his hindquarters. The vet wants to try a few more things, but today he recommended putting him down in a few weeks if we can't get his condition regulated. This bums me out beyond words.
I did have a Friendly's sundae and I just opened more wine so today didn't completely suck.

What I'm I looking at here?
Hastings, England. There was a famous battle there in 1066. The French lead by William The Conqueor invaded and won. Englands King Harold died after an arrow landed in his eye (although the arrow in the eye bit is disputed now thats the famous part.)
I grew up in Hastings, its also often referred to as 1066 country.
Oops, nearly forgot - the first pic is of The Bayeux Tapestry - women made it comic strip style I guess when you think about it. Im not sure how long the whole thing is but there are bits of it in a few different museums depicting the whole battle.
The other picture is of whats left of Hastings Castle. Half of it fell into the sea during fierce storms in the 1400s (I think) Then it got forgotten about and the forrest grew up over it for a few hundred years. The Victorians stumbled across it and destroyed more of it whilst hoping to find buried treasure and also took a chunk out to build some new seas side appartments!
Todays history lesson wwas brought to you by the letter Q, lol.

Hmm.... I'd say to order it from us but the shipping is fucking disgusting expensive. The shipping has been about $50-60 a package lately. And that's with our business discount.
We use Meal Mart (Alle) corned beef briskets. I'll try and track down where you might be able to buy it.

Have you done any work on the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus? I think I'm going to do an essay comparing the frieze sculpture to mainland Greek works.
Only constantly having it turn up in exams! I like your idea though. Mmmm frieze sculpture. My prof of all things Greek is partial to Sicilian Greek stuff, so I know a bunch about terracotta!
It did make me think of doing something about non-Greek, or maybe east Greek clothing in Greek art for my thesis thingy, if I get in to the seminar. I'm so thrilled with weird little differences in the drapery of basically giant sheets and trousers.
I still need to come up with a topic for both my AH classes, but it has to be based on a work I can go and see. Time for a Met trip.
