ive only taken my xanax twice but im already feeling like the .25mg dose isnt going to cut it anymore. the first 2 times i felt gooood. yeah, know thats not what its for, but hey, i wasnt having panic attacks! so i figured the dose was even too high, even though thats the lowest you can get, and that my body would get used to it and it would be good. but i took one tonight and i'm not really feeling it. this is the 3rd freaking time.. it should not be having different effects already.
This is normal, Britt. Your body adjusts to any benzo, developing an incremental tolerance, which is why you have to play with the doses. Your tolerance rises at the beginning and will then level out.
Since your current dose has failed three times in a row, try taking one .25mg pill and cut another in half to give you a .125mg pill and take those when you are planning to stay home for the day/night and not drive or go anywhere (give yourself 12 hours after your previous dose so the vast majority of whatever is in your system has already been metabolized). Staying home is important, because if you overshoot your ideal dose, you may only want to sleep, or it may just make you drowsy, neither of which you want when you are driving or working. You will still be under a half milligram, so your response should be incremental and safe. Also, don't drink. You don't need an additional CNS suppressor.
If you have the same response over a couple of days with these two pills that you did with a single pill, then you will know your new level. You may also need to get your prescription changed because you'll be using up pills faster.
I know this sounds like a slippery slope, and it was what concerned you about benzos from the beginning, but you will level out. And you are still at a very low dose.

I graduated HIGH SCHOOL in 1991!! In 1996 I was almost out of college.... Now I feel old...
That post made me feel old too, Cam!
Stop it! You can't be old because that would mean I'm old too! >:(
I DO NOT WANT HIM GOING OUT THERE TO SPEND MONTHS IN JERSEY. He offered to bring me with him if he goes, I dunno, maybe I'll go dance in Jersey. Is it any good out there?
Dancing here pretty much sucks. It's either nude BYOB or bikini. However, NJ has some redeeming qualities... namely me, Tempest, Odysseus, RoseLeigh, and DylanAngel all within a few minutes of each other! ;D

That's true. If he goes to Jersey I think I'll go with him so I can a) slit S's throat if she comes near him, and b) hang with all the awesome SW Jersey peeps! :D

Nah, don't slit her throat. Use a baseball bat on her first. A beating lasts longer and causes more suffering.

Yeah I don't want to get run over by an "I'm old" bandwagon either.
I know a couple of dancers who like it here, one averages over 500/night.
Also there are parts of NJ that are beautiful, even by Pacific Northwest standards. Don't believe all the bad hype.
Furthermore, the cookie quality is top notch.

H&R Block had been doing my taxes for years, but I'm afraid that I'm actually going to owe this year so I'm giving it a shot myself before I shell out $100+ to get them done. If I don't owe, I'm going to have H&R Block file them so I can get their insurance in case I get randomly selected for auditing.
And yea, 7 baskets. I've never done that few before, actually. 4 baby cousins (ages newborn-7 years), boy's brother and sister, and then one for one of my sisters. I didn't make any for my sisters who aren't going to be home for Easter or for any of the adults this year. I already spent $130 just on the kids, I can't afford any more than that!

Ok, so it looks like I get back $99 from the Feds... but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to fill out the info on the NJ state form. And the instructions are so vague. Looking back at the return that was filed last year, I can't figure out where they got the numbers from! :O

Yea, it's their "Peace of Mind" thing where they guarantee your return and will pay any fees if you get audited and mistakes are found. It's only like $30, so I get it every year.

Haha My accountant actually is so awesome. She's in a wheelchair and only has slight use of her right hand (she uses a pencil to type), but she is so proud of the things she has accomplished even though people kept telling her all her life that she couldn't. She has a wicked sense of humor and such a warm, genuine smile. I :heartbeat her to bits! But... I'm not getting enough money back this year to justify paying her, so umm... yea, she'll have to wait until next year!

I'll probaly wear a pair of my regular running shorts underneath. The kilt should be long enough to cover them.
Anyone read Dave Eggers? He talks about how... uncomfortable... it is for a man to run "unsupported". I'll find out for myself one day, but not tomorrow. My nephew's running with me. And about 14,000 others.
Why is it "a kilt" but "a pair of shorts" anyway? English is a funny ol' language.

Aaaaw, skittish kittahs, so cute though.
On my own kitteh front, my girl kitten Nina has become BEST FWIEND with my dad's fatass cat Reggie. They play hide n seek together, chase toy mice, and snuggle on either side of my dad's legs when he watches tv in the evening. She was skittish at first too, now she follows my dad around everywhere.
