Ooh, enjoy it! I'm making it tomorrow... because K IS COMING HOME IN THE MORNING!! By this time tomorrow I'll be on my way to the airport! ;D

I'm in much too good a mood this morning. I should get up before dawn to make pie crust and do laundry every day if it gets me this upbeat. I still have to go get my laundry and put it away, finish the pie crust dough, shave, do my nails, do my makeup, go to the veggie stand, and get to work in the next two and a half hours... aigh!! Time to get off the computer now.

Trail mix (with chocolate) makes a great breakfast.

If I keep telling myself that, it'll become true, right? Or true-er?

Must not think about hashbrowns... must not...

Today was my first day back to school after Spring Break...I didn't go.

I want to take a break (summer) because I'm so damned burnt out on it, but I doubt that break would change anything and then I'd kick myself in the ass for just extending the pain....I hate school....

I pondered making corned beef tonight since it was on sale at Acme. I HATE the cabbage part, though. I got a cabernet soaked pot roast from TJ's instead. It doesn't take 4 hours to cook like corned beef.

Things are going haywire in the booth at work. Something kept tripping on Saturday night, shutting the music and stage lights off in brief annoying increments. Which of course is because I was drunk and doing it on purpose or something. Riiiiight. Gotta love SCL and the joys of anonymous posting. Also, now the computer program is being funky. Trying to talk the new DJ through the process without having the program on the screen in front of me is a bit taxing. Nothing like firing up your computer and all 30,000+ files seem to be "missing". Luckily I still keep thousands of CD's around for just such an occasion.

I got Eddie Izzard tickets. I shall now do a happy dance.

OK, I thought the "thread killers" thread would have the most potential to beat the Random Thread in page length.

I think it's jasper802's thread, "Anyone look for a boyfriend?" instead. It's gonna hit 1000 pages in no time if ol' jasper802 keeps feeding it. Unless his spring break ends first.

In other news...

Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone! I'm working a drinking holiday, my very first day at the awesomest club in Portland, with red hair on St. Pat's. I'm gonna bank today, oh yesiree bob.

The reason I want a kosher kitchen is with Purim coming up, nobody at Shul will eat my Hamantaschen because it's not kosher. :(

If your kitchen is not kosher, other Jews don't think your stuff is kosher... forget if it was killed kosher, cooked kosher and everything.. if it was cooked in the same OVEN as something with meat and it has dairy in it... Jews won't eat it because it's not kosher.

So basically, I want to keep a kosher kitchen so other Jews will eat my food. :(

It's tradition, as a Jew you're always supposed to have plenty of food for other Jews... and I got nuffin. Well, I have prepackaged biscuits... that's about it.

Man, all the stuff you have to do for Judaism reminds me of a Simpsons episode where Homer sees Bapu's multi-armed elephant idol and he says: Jeez Bapu, when they were handing out the religions, you must have been out having a whiz. ;D

can you borrow someone's kosher kitchen for the first couple of events until... um, october?

Or, check this out:

turbo ovens bake in 1/3 less time than convention ovens, they're small, pretty inexpensive, and if you needed, you could buy two-- one for dairy, one for meat, or whatever.

My microwave isn't kosher. *sigh*

And if my hashbrowns were made in the same area or cooked in the same part o the factory as meat or dairy...

Yes... it goes THAT far.

I have some kosher frozen meals. Still not kosher if I bake them in MY oven. :(
