i had acrylic nails put on the other day and the bitch who did them took skin off of every finger on my left hand with the nail file. so in the top corners of each finger there are these tiny little open wounds and it is unbelievably fucking painful.
add to that the massive cut on my index finger from where i fell onto a piece of glass last night, and my left hand is pretty much crippled right now.

I worked WAY too hard last night.
I tried to hard for every single dance, I talked to every guy and could hardly get a "yes" to save my life. My knees and shins are trashed trying to put on a really impressive stage for individual guys...but to no avail. I got rained on 3 times, but no one would just buy some damn dances!!
I got yelled at in another language by an irate wife which was pretty awkward. Some random girls were drunk laying on the stage getting their nipples sucked. I danced for a cop and a attorney.
My body finally couldn't take it anymore and I knew I had to go home. I ended up going to IHOP and puking my guts out and when I opened the door a cop was all in my business as to why I was sick. When waiting for my food I passed out and the waitress actually had to wake me up to eat.
After all of that I still had a 45 minute drive home. When I finally got home I just collapsed on the floor and gave up. I was so sick and my brain and body was so exerted I was just laying there not even able to go to sleep. I missed my goal by 15 bucks (I had it before tip out) and can honestly say I would have keeled over if I tried for one last dance.
I feel like I worked harder and not smarter and that it was stupid. I guess it's better than giving up, but for the price my mind and body is paying now...I dunno.

Wow, I can't believe that I've just killed my entire morning reading through the last 400 pages of this thread. Definately my favorite thread I've found here so far. Kind of like a running daily journal of everyone's lives. Such interesting people here. :) All of the ups and downs in people's lives. Lots of happy, silly, sad, agngry on every page. Emotion everywhere. Oh, and recipes too. What more could you ask? I think I may be addicted to this thread.

ok, so i yelled at the instructor on my yoga dvd. i do not feel worked out and i do not feel happy. i turned it off part way through. did some crunches and stretching and thats about it. im not in a working out mood today.
and i'll be paying for that when i eat so much junk tomorrow for dinner at my aunt's. maybe i'll wake up a little early and do yoga in the morning - with a different dvd that doesnt make me want to scream "fuck you fuck you fuck you" at the tv.

My dad just called me to tell me that he saw a giant easter bunny's butt jump over the fence, leaving an easter basket with my name written on it.
I love my dad. He's so cool. I love that I'm still his little baby girl and when we talk we don't have to be so damn grown up and serious all the time. I love that he always asks how my day is going and REALLY wants to know. I love that he'll turn off any T.V. program (except a Denver Broncos game;) ) for me, and not just when I'm having a huge problem. I love that he sings in the car with me and always brings me treats from the convenience store when he goes. I love that he doesn't judge me, that I can voice really controversial opinions and even if he doesn't agree he doesn't get all worked up like so many people do.
Basically my dad is the best dad ever. I don't know where or who I'd be without him. I really hope my children have a father that awesome.

That is so super sweet. I can only hope my daughter will adore her daddy like that!
I ACTUALLY accomplished stuff today, laundry and general picking up that hasn't been done in forever. Usually when my husband asks what i was up to that day i tell him keeping our daughter alive :) Now i can say i did chores too!
Layla is sleeping in her big girl crib. She's never napped in there before and she looks so little!!
She is already up one diaper size and officially grown out of her NB sized clothes. I noticed today when she couldn't completely straighten her legs in her sleeper. She is such a good little grower!
I can't beleive she will be a month old on monday.
Time sure does fly when you are sleep deprived!
Hubby got me such an awesome diamond bezel for my rolex. It is now the most perfect watch i have ever seen. Just the right amount of bling and class. I will cherish it forever!

Oh I feel human again. Nommed on breakfast tacos like only SA can do them, took a Honeybee/Ceridwen's Cauldren bath and washed my hair with my new Godiva solid shampoo (mehh yet to fall in love but it smells so good), and now I'm lying in bed SWing with Jake completely unconscious beside me. He's so tuckered. I don't know if that means he played a lot at the kennel (he apparently made buddies with a border collie) or if he just didn't sleep well (which I'm afraid of because he always sleeps with us and I didn't want him to be neurotic in our absence). Soft, sweet-smelling and lazy family. It's good times.

Oh yeah, one thing I forgot about my vacation is that my mommy bought me a ton of makeup from Prescriptives. I have powder, blush (the exact same color as my Nars Orgasm that I lost, wah!), a whole new set of eyeshadows (in gold/sage/rose colors that blend so well together), mascara, concealer and some nice brushes for it all. It was almost $300 worth of makeup that she just randomly splurged on. She's only guilty about buying stuff for herself. It was awesome. I'll post pics on the Stripper Makeup thread when my face clears up a little from being sick and periody.

2. Tempest-- that sucks. I had insomnia too for a week and wouldn't you know it but driving 34 hours cured that (thank God.) Why do you have insomnia and how long have you had it?
I had a bit of a stressful day on Thursday and I just couldn't sleep. It's rare that I have insomnia, but I've had it since I was a teenager, due to random nightmares or stress. Then last night I accidentally took the wrong medication (which might have added to the insomnia on Thursday although I didn't take it on Thursday).
I was just put on Ritalin for ADHD but I stopped taking it Wednesday and the doctor prescribed Adderall to try and minimalize the horrific headaches the Ritalin caused. But like an idiot, I thought I threw the Ritalin out on Friday when the doc prescribed the Adderall. Nope. Mistook it for my Paxil (anti-depressant).

So I decided to cook a welcome home dinner for Liz last night, to celebrate the first night in her new home. One of my hobbies is dabbling at being a gourmet chef, so I decided to go all out.
I decided to make a Veal Sentino, which is veal scallopini with asparagus and cheese. I used fortina cheese to give it a bit of a kick. Each piece of veal gets 2 asparagus spears on top and then is covered with slices of the fortina so it can melt over the sides and cover the veal when cooking. To finish off, a simple sauce made from melted butter and lemon juce and some buttered noodles on the side.
I paired the meal with a nice bottle of Chateau Fuisse Pouilly-Fuisse that I had in my wine rack. It's a French Maconnais white wine with a nice fruity but firm taste. Pairing wines with food is one of my favorite things to do as the perfect pairing will elevate the entire culinary experience.
The meal was a big hit and Liz complained to me that if I keep cooking like this, she's going to get fat, lol. She told me that she forgot how good of a cook I was. Awwww, that was nice to hear.

1. LadyJade-- why are you so hungry all the time? What's your medical condition?
Hyperthyroid. Pair that with my naturally high Asian metabolism, and yea... constant hunger. :( I just had a ridiculously huge lunch at my favorite restaurant followed by a giant piece of cake... and I'm starving again. My stomach is actually growling! :O

It really bothers me when I'm at work and I ask a guy for a dance and he's like "I would really love to but I'm all out of money!" and then 5 seconds later I see him in the lap dance room. I wish guys would just have the balls to say "NO!"
