Actually, I'm starting to consider law school. My family's been suggesting it for a while, but it really didn't appeal to me until last week when a law professor did an amazing lecture for my Medical Anthropology class. I didn't know law could be so interesting.

Law school is an interesting idea. It can be very logic-based and I find it fascinating, I think I'd be good at it too. Interestingly enough, it seems as stigmatized as stripping. You don't need to be manipulative and ruthless to make a successful lawyer (or do you?) Maybe a defense lawyer. Either way, I believe they are closely linked.

my GF is studying for her LSATs right now and she really got me thinking about how interesting Law is as well. The reason being that it is fascinating how many different accounts of one situation or sentence there can be. The court system tries to do it's best to determine the most fair course of action for individuals or entities but all sorts of curveballs can be thrown in. I thought the main goal for them was always money and lying to get more money but her philosophy is very cool. She's like this fearless truth warrior! But she realizes that to win a case she may have to display only the truth she wants to display...which I call lying...

Cyberstripper, I agree...I think you'll do fine for yourself. Mostly because as the sex industry goes more mainstream, and more adult entertainers are "going legit" so to speak, I think the demand for professional looking, *quality* websites is going to be on the rise. In those cases, they'll be willing to spend more, and won't be as interested in the designers/developers who are looking for easy money.

The web design market is flooded, that's for sure, but it's not limited to any niche. It seems like anyone with a graphics program and a code editor wants to call themselves a web designer and bank. (<-- Just me griping. I'm a web designer and often have to deal with poorly coded sites bought by people trying to save a few bucks, from people trying to make a quick buck.)

Disclaimer: Not a stripper, just a code monkey who's thought about it.

Funny you mentioned this. I did site design as a hobby for a long time!! I needed a website about 4 years ago (but at the time could not produce something that looked "professional", or so I thought) Well I am my own worst critic. I paid for a website design from a corpo website designer here in Vegas. It was rather difficult to tell a complete stranger (with no industry background) that I am in an adult business and will need an adult website, to hand over half naked pictures of myself, and explain to him what I was looking for. LO AND BEHOLD I was completely disappointed in the results, due to this I had to fix their work, and ended up releasing my own site for my fans! Practice makes perfect and now I support myself doing webcam work and website design, however it has been a word-of-mouth biz for too long!! I am hoping to expand my business beyond friends and family now.

When I was transitioning away from dancing, I was a professional movie extra in NYC. Being that I was comfortable with nudity, the angecies knew to call me for "sexy" roles, and I landed a few principle roles, for which I still receive royalty checks! And after you join SAG, you can also earn your benefits as long as you work 74 (more or less) days in a year.
