Property or retirement. This pile does not get touched. I have another pile for a rainy day...or when I find something I really want. It'll probably go towards travel :D

My mini vacation to Vegas next weekend. Then when I get home I'm working on getting new furniture, new cell phone (I've had the LG chocolate for 10 months now, great phone but I'm really bored with it. I need to at least get a different color, or something.), and a new plasma screen TV. Basically I just want to upgrade some things.

whaaaaa, talk to me girl, tell me all about it! I hate my freckles! I never knew you could do anything about them other than staying the fuck outta the sun!!
~I'd like to buy a home outright by 26
~Buy a new car outright
~Savings to invest/for emergencies
^^^ Real reasons/things I'm saving for
~1)Possible boob job 2)lipo 3)laser for my armpits and snatch

Saving so I can make my next mortgage payment! Although it is finally having a place that I'm not just bleeding money into, actually nice to own a place for once. Also saving in general just to save... I'm a pretty frugal girl.

The rest of my midwife fees
Pay off the IRS
Student loan debt
Meh. None of these are splurging. I did want to get invisible braces but the lil' one's needs and financial stability are more important.

I'll let you know how it goes...my first appointment is next week. I really hope this works. I see you're in the DC area--the place I'm going to is here: . So far they've been great there (I've been going there for laser hair removal too). They do IPL, laser resurfacing and dermabrasion; the esthetician recommended IPL for me, but if it doesn't work as well as I'd like, I'll definitely try one of the other methods.

In no particular order...
--- Pay off my car
--- Fund for replacement boob job (hopefully in 15 years or so)
--- Grad school fund
--- Fund to hang out in Europe after I graduate
--- Laser for my kitty
--- Nintendo WII!
--- Renew Disneyland Pass for me, and for the bf if he'll let me
--- Lasik eyeball fixin' surgery
Wow.. that's a lot of shit.. I'd better buckle down and save every penny!

Ok, after some deep thought, I wanna save up some money too:
* Save up for my retail business
* Buy a car
* Savings, Rainy Day, and Vacation Funds
* Property
I'm saving for retirement. I know it's supposed to be splurges, but I'm really excited about retirement and saving 2/3's of my income for it.

Let's see here...
-A double-family house (that's number one for me, I think), so I can get started in real estate
-Retirement
-Emergency savings
-TRAVEL TRAVEL TRAVEL!!
-Tuition for probably either massage or real estate classes
-Some little things, like a laptop, new guitar, a bigger book collection, more high-end makeup and hair stuff
That's about it for now..it's a lot, but I'm optimistic ;)

Ooh I like the idea of this thread! Things I'm saving for in order of priority:
1. To be debt free - Have $5000 on two credit cards
2. Pay off the rental car my EX smashed (it's either that or I sue him, I can't really afford a lawyer right now)
3. To start my own business empire which is currently in the works
Then I've got my wishlist of other frivolous goodies, none of which I'll allow myself to even contemplate until I realise the previous 3 goals first. =(

When I was dancing I pretty much was paying for the necessary things, i.e. rent, car note, and manily SCHOOL (books, supplies, trips). But I always had extra money to burn when I budgeted correctly, so my splurge was shoes or going on road trips.....
Now I am saving for (as far as a splurge) is my trip to Costa Rica!!!!:D
holiday

Okay. First of all I need to budget BAD. I was realizing yesterday that out of my earnings year-to-date, I basically can't account for $5,000 or so. :O . I know. It's stupid.
So my plan is to save for the following:
• $1,000 a month in long term savings. $500 for myself and $500 in the little ones 529 college plan.
• $500 a month for my biz and real estate goals
and lump sums for within the next 3 months:
• $1,000 to finish up my pilates instructor training
• $2,000 to get the lawn done.
• $2,000 for a luxury/resort vacation this summer.
and splurges if I can afford them:
• lasering (hair removal)
• lasering (the stomach skin tightener that sassysummer got)
• Vegas to see Prince and party
I think that's it. Seems like a lot, but actually pretty feasible. I'm a saver.

Honestly, I dont save, not like majority of the girls on here. I work just enough to pay my bills, groceries etc, and buy myself something nice here and there. I would love to actually "profit" from dancing, but mentally I can't get with it.
Me too lately! I havent done anything TRULY constructive with my money in about 2 yrs...lol...wow...LAZY ME! :)
