^The position she's in makes it look worse. She's probably got normal cellulite like everyone else, but that position along with the camera angle and light make it look alot worse.

I think it's because she's naturally skinny. If she ate properly and exercised like she should, she probably wouldn't have this problem .. at least not as badly.

but really, if you go into a club, at least half of the girls will have some cellulite. i thankfully must have good genetics against it, but i know looooooots of girls i work with that have it :(

I know this may sound crazy but I kind of liked some of the hole in the wall, lower standards places that I danced in Queens and Baltimore. It was easier for me to make money because my "competition" was not in as good shape. I was able to make money even though I couldn't hustle or dance as well as a fair number of the other girls just based on looks and demeanor.

Sometimes it's easier to be a big fish in a small pond rather than a little fish in a big one...

Do these girls just see themselves differently than the rest of us view them??? Or do they just not care?

Girl, how about I came into work last night READY to work. I took extra time on makeup, shit I even put on eyelashes::). I get in the dressing room and there is a girl about 15-20lbs heavier than me (and shoot I'm 150lbs)

Anyway, she has on a tired, no I mean tired ass hot pink sling shot (that had obviously been to hell and back) and some dingy white booty shorts! AND she was pale as all hell fat stomach, that HUNG over! Girl, I made $7 last night, while girls like HER were making money. It's crazy!

It's starting to make me feel like if a dancer lowers her appearance standards=more money, whereas well-kept, tight fit girls=intimidation factor :(

LatinaRose

Eww! A slingshot?? I swear I shuddered when I read that!

But last night was probably a fluke. In my experience the girl that is polished and has personality prevails. Unless the "unpolished/fat" ones are doing something extra that you aren't.

Girl, not just a slingshot, but an OLD, TIRED ass slingshot. It was so loose looking :( Add to the suspenders and a big tummy in the middle. Girl, I was threw!

Word. Not to mention that she has her leg up and the shorts are cutting into her leg pushing the skin downwards to make it look worse.

If you see her in pics with her legs in a regular position, it doesn't look like that.

Take most people's legs and push the skin together, it's gonna look like that.

i think, skinny toned or fat, it all comes down to your face and your personality... and an ability to dance may help. :)

I'm ginna have to go against the general concensus here and agree with you Viola, I think that looks disgusting. perhaps bad camera angle, but if that nasty cottage cheese wasn't there in the first place there wouldn't be anything to shoot at a bad angle. Nasty. Yuck yuck yuck. I'd die before I had an ounce of cottage cheese. Idk how soemone could let themselves go like that, it just looks like they don't take care of themselves.

Thank you! Let's go to the Player Haters Ball together.

It just makes me happy because she's so perfect and beautiful otherwise. I'm one of those people who buys issues of tabloids with the headlines "STARS WITHOUT MAKE UP!!!" and get a thrill out of it.

I don't think so. It looks like a compression of the natural fat layer we all have under our skin.

For anyone who thinks they don't have this, try something. Place your hands on your thighs about 4 inches apart. Now press your hands towards each other. See that? It's not cellulite. It's your natural layer of fat.

When you wear something tight that pushes your skin down, like she is wearing, this can give you the appearance of cellulite without actually having it.

I have a BMI of about 18% and I can do that with my legs. And, if you honestly don't have it, your BMI is probably too low and you're opening yourself up to a whole host of problems down the line.

LatinaRose
05-01-2007, 04:20 PM
^^Yeah I have that natural layer too and I have no idea what my BMI is b/c frankly, who cares?? I bet if she was tan and that was shot at a different angle or better lighting, you wouldn't even see it.

Exactly!!!

Unfortunately, I have to care about the BMI thingie because it tends to dip too low with the way I have to eat.

But, you? I wouldn't worry about a thing if I had your body either!;D

DylanAngel

:-[ ^^^Guilty. Sorry.

Getting back to the topic, I can see what Corgan is saying about pretty faces, but I sit on the fence about the fat issue.

After being in this biz for close to two decades before retiring, I learned one thing. My definition of fat and that of the custies are two different things.

If a club is consistently hearing complaints and/or seeing people walk out after seeing an overweight dancer on stage then they absolutely have the right to get rid of her because it hurts everyone, regardless of what her personal earnings are.

When the club starts to get that "reputation" it's all downhill from there.

I'm all for strict standards. In fact, I think dancers should have weekly weigh-ins. If you get 10 pounds over your starting weight, you're sent to the Slaughterhouse. That would be the name of the brothel down the road where you're sent, the Slaughterhouse. :-\ :O/:O

Wow, if you ever decide to become a SC manager let me know and I promise to not waste my time trying to work at your club :O Having that logic is very unhealthy. All weightgain is not "bad weight"

i agree with cinnamon. the club(s) will end up with most of the dancers developing bulimia or anorexia for fear of getting "too fat". fat and muscle weigh the same; muscle take less space. so it would be unfair to havethat kind of pressure on your dancers

LOL I just saw this. At one club there was this one fat girl. When I first started there she was a little fat but still had a decent shape, not too much pudge, but had a very pretty face and was a good seller. OK fine. But she just kept getting fatter and fatter, until after a year and a half, she was huge. I mean, her ass looked like one of those LARGE exercise balls inside her gown. Her gut hung over her thong, and she had so much cottage cheese even on her knees, she just looked ridiculous. Customers would walk in, see her on stage and walk right back out without even bothering to sit down.

When the owner came in one night, he saw her and commented on her weight. He did this regularly. But then she came on the floor wearing a white gown, glowing like a giant pudgy orb under the black lights. Owner just told her she wasn't allowed to wear white or even go on stage until she lost weight. The rest of us girls were stunned. Like, WTF??? She's so fat you don't want her to wear white OR go on stage, but you still let this cow work here???

I know the answer, but I'll never understand WHY they won't just get rid of girls like that because they make the whole place look bad. ugh. Just do it privately, instead of making a big scene.

hahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahhahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!

I don't understand this comment yes i don't think fat girls should dance but it has nothing to do with the numbers on the scale it has to do with how they look on the floor.

I think EE was being sarcastic on this one, personally.Well, yeah. (I knew I was being sarcastic! Oops.) I picked 10 pounds arbitrarily to be an exaggeration showing how strict weight criteria could become if taken to an extreme. Dancers are treated like livestock anyway, so I was satirically proposing an additional weigh-in step for the process. My mock proposal also served the purpose of making us think about being judged by stricter standards than the ones being defended. If I wanted to be a real troll about it, I could continue the satire by responding to those who objected to 10 pounds by saying that my stricter standard is necessary for all the reasons they gave for the lesser standard. But I'm not trying to troll, just provide food for thought.

God I must be a troll because I think they should calibrate your fat (however thy do that with those clamp thingies,) and then if they notice you've gained weight, pull you aside, check your body fat percentage, tell you until you get your fat down xyz% you can't work here anymore.

Yeah, I have to say I hate it when my club hires fat girls. I don't think girls should be perfect looking with perfectly toned bodies, but one of the reasons this business is going to the shitter is because many clubs will just hire anyone who walks through the door. Everyone carries weight differently, so the factors should not just be based on the numbers of the scale, but how good she looks onstage and in her attire. Even if you are thin, if you look 6 mo preggo, then thats probably BAD. Some men like preg chicks, hell there is a whole porn market of prego porn, but that doesn't mean we should hire 6-9 month prego chicks because some men like it and men like variety. I am sick of seeing unsightly fat dancers onstage. A club really is only as good as its girls. We have a dancer at my club who isn't fat, but her body is TERRIBLE, I mean terrrible. She looks about 5 months pregnant, has a bad saggy ass, and the saggiest flapjack tits I have ever seen, and her tits are only small B cups. She breastfed all 5, yes five, of her kids. She is just one giant stretchmark. She is also very unattractive in the face, smells badly most of the time, wears cheap worn out hair weaves/wigs, and unflattering outfits. It is not only the fat girls, but the just plain old ugly as shit girls who should stop too. Many girls are unattractive to me, and it does not mean they should be fired, but there are some who are far too gone past 'ugly' to be dancing. This girl manages to sell some dances, but I beleive just about anyone can manage to sell some dances if they know what to say to the right custy. That does NOT mean they should be stripping.

VegasPrincess
05-07-2007, 12:31 PM
They should have fired her in private, but honestly, our job is to look hot. It's just the nature of the business, and honestly, our body is our "instrument." If you expect to make a living off your body, you should at least take care of it. Everyone should! I'm sure they'd hire her back if she lost some weight anyway.

Honestly, when I go to a club I rather see girls with a little weight instead of girls with zero titties, and no ass.
That's more disgusting to me than a little cellulite. I'm not talking morbidly OBESE but big girls can do it better sometime.

I remember when I went to the club and this girl with the body of a 12 year old got on, so so, didn't do anything cool except look like a 12 year old boy and then the bigger girl got on and everyone was floored at how awesome she was...not to mention, she was hot.

Either way, I rather see a pretty face and decent body than a skinny body and a hit face.

Butterface.

Poor Fergie, she just does not photograph well. I have met her and she is actually stunning-cute in person. This was two years ago, but she had a really cute-sexy face. Even in Grind House, her face looks nice. I just don't think she does stills very well.

I also thing Gwen Stefani looks better on video and during interviews than she does on film, IMO.
