I will never, ever, ever move back to Jersey!!!

I swear the only people who love that state can't come to terms that where they are from sucks balls. (I lived there for 19 years, fuck jersey pride).

Also.. since recently moving back I never want to be in the cold again!

MILWAUKEE! It's one of the most racially divided cities in the US today, the clubs suck ass, and crime rates are going up as the Chicago gangs are moving up northward. But hey, there's beer. At least they've got that going for them.

Winnipeg... seriously... its like a hole... the people are nasty and blah...

I was born in Winterpeg but was lucky enough to move away. Yes, nothing good comes out of Winnipeg!

I think it would be worse to live in Saskatoon though.

Ok girls, I looked up "Arctica". It IS a real term referring to an ancient land mass covering some of the different areas named previously in this thread. Now those regions combined are just referred to as "the Arctic". So there ya go. I'm not crazy.

But yeah, basically I just can't take the cold!

So from negative generalizations (not actual experience), I wouldn't want to live in Arkansas, Alabama, or any southern state with the criteria DylanAngel set:

Anywhere that it's ok to marry relatives.

Anywhere that the whole town collectively has one set of teeth.

Anywhere that is so small, that people's phone numbers have only one digit.

So, I guess we're talking about...Arkansas????

And I'm concerned that living in Antarctica would cause me to have horrible skin and turn blue. Plus, the lack of a social system would freak me out. And I wouldn't want to live in the middle of any wild jungles filled with cannibals. I'm not sure I could talk anyone out of a generations-long tradition of eating human flesh simply by saying that Ginelle-meat would be tough and tasteless when we all know I taste marvelous! haha lol ::)

^^^ cool, so we can talk in terms of countries too?

id only rule out places in war. oh and a few middle eastern countries- only cos they dont value woman as much as many western counrties do,id find that hard to live with. but like most places, im sure i could handle a year there.

south africa would be a question mark. maybe a year max in most african places. but if the opportunity arose, id totally give it a go!

Went there once. THe city is nice, but the slums...
I went on a benefit trip to do some charity work, and the things I saw still haunt me.

What about the rest of Australia? Remember we are a continent thus there are plenty of places that are beach-side as such not just QLD. Darwin has some nice beaches. Adelaide has nice beaches.

As for QLD tho' ... the whole coast is beach so you would have to be more specific ;)

it would be melbourne or surfers. i am a city girl, i like my night life, good restaurants and designer shops. nah darwin would be tad too hot and too remote for me

I can't say any specific city, but I doubt I'll ever live in a suburb or in a really rural setting. I'm a city girl all the way!

Vegas. Junky food, obese waddling tourists, sleazy vile cutthroat strip clubs, junkies, pimps, other criminals everywhere, and it's in the fucking DESERT. I would seriously rather be homeless anywhere else in this country than living in a house in Vegas.

A-men!! I like the desert but hate Vegas - counting the days until I move on ..

Clovis NM! I grew up in Gallup NM so i CAN be worse...

Used to live 17 minutes from Santa Cruz (Los Gatos) ... strange town but Apto was nice ...

Phoenix, AZ, I love greenery and lots of trees and everything is just brown and bare there.

Ok, I agree about the cold and it's definitely expensive to live here.

But I have beautiful mountain views, gorgeous lakes and only a 40 minute commute to major industry and an hour's commute to NYC when I need some culture. Not so bad.

But I'd rather be where it's warm myself as well. Just can't pick up and go because my family's here.

Am I so off? I looked at the title of the thread and immediately thought, "The place where I die."

^^^ Funny!

No specific cities come to mind. Haven't really travelled much to have an opinion, but..
anwhere where there is openly racist attitudes, white pride, kkk headquarters. Anywhere where it's hot, like over 80. Also any of them really flat states. I find it odd to be able to see the next town that's 20 miles away. I need me some green. Also, anywhere that's super hippy, techie, overly pc, religiously fanatic, etc..

Sorry CK, I don't think you belong in Ohio!!

I've been trying to tell her that.
I'm sorry hun. You should so not be there. I have met some damned nasty evil from Ohio... on multiple occasions, so now I'm skeert of the state.

Well, if it'll make you girls feel better, I plan on moving to Charlotte next year!

Anywhere that isn't Melbourne. I'm in love with this city.

As for the absolute last place I would live, that would probably have to be Saudi Arabia (or really anywhere that women have few rights).

Atlanta Georgia. Been through there driving and stayed the night, and a flight where i stayed at the Airport too damn long. That place is not for me.

As far as the Arctic...the far north of Sweden (where i was born) is above the Arctic. There is wild life in the freezing south of the Artic as well (south) and a few i am sure eskimos. It is indeed an area where people can live, i.e. Eskimos but few do. It's all snow and wind...

Or anywhere where its not warm or hot for most of the year; not near a beach, lake or river; where it snows, where yokels are, where it isnt diverse, where the are too many old people, where there isnt enough nightlife/things to do. I would say where the real estate market isnt overpriced (ie San Diego) but eh..gotta give somewhere.

HA! I automatically thought of "Roger & Me". What, breeding rabbits for 'Pets or Meat' is a turnoff? Go figure. ;)

Honestly, though, the six months I spent living in LA were just ridiculous. I can understand why people like it, and I actually love visiting, but living there fulltime - it's just not a good match for me. I was such a square peg.

Oh yeah, there's a HUGE misconception that NJ is ugly. I grew up in a very pretty area. What I really don't like about it is the fast pace, cost of living, and I know toooooo many obnoxious people who think Jersey is soooo great yet never lived anywhere else. And when I moved back, just the change of clubs .. well.. you know all about that! ::)

Ohio anywhere. It's like Indiana to me ...all meth labs, wanna be gangstas, obese women and walmarts.

Not a fan of St.Louis or Detroit.
