Of course, without the shame factor, the SC'ing business might not exactly be a profitable one. Some have concluded the overall loosening of sexual boundaries in civilian society is the main reason SC's are in a state of decline right now.
I'd be one of those people who thinks just that. If there was no shame at all, all I can imagine is vastly more girls entering the biz part or full time. It would be good for customers, but anytime there is a glut of a product or resource, the value of it goes down. Actually it might even remain profitable for the clubs given that they charge house fees so make their money no matter what, but if the dancers think the pie is already being cut up too thin, all we need to do is teach the next generation of girls that there is no shame/stigma at all in stripping, that it's empowering, and watch them enter this biz. No experience or education required, flexible hours, empowerment, promise them the potential to make big bucks, youth and beauty are big pluses, how hard they work is up to them, etc. Without the shame/stigma, that's pretty hard to beat for a starting a job. Plus if it becomes too common, the value will be seen as lessened by customers. Instead of being a forbidden pleasure, a purely stigma/shame free view leaves it as a commodity, easily had, and common.

Some have concluded the overall loosening of sexual boundaries in civilian society is the main reason SC's are in a state of decline right now.ironically, the lessening of the shame factor lead to the "good ol days". sc have always been seedy, but the when the industry reinvented itself by adding marble floors, wine cellars and calling themselves GC (ie: the same old moneky in a brand new suit). the suckers..er..customers believed the illusion of classiness brought a new level acceptability to the experience. this in turn allowed them to freely indulge in their perversions and they were willing to pay a premium for it. of course, none of this applies in today's skankcracy. it's a literal ho-asis where one can interact, beam, view, download, or order of almost any form of perversion or skankosity 24/7 OTC.
It would be good for customers, but anytime there is a glut of a product or resource, the value of it goes down.sure, commodification. which is a natural result for any business under those conditions. you know, the "good ol days" were never going to last forever and like any other business. sc are going to have to find new ways to get customers to spend like they used to. i suppose, calling strippers, "entertainment facilitators" and serving prawns doesn't impress like it used to.
Eh, playful, flirtatious banter remains SOP in most of the clubs I frequent, and I rarely find myself wanting for strippers capable of interesting and insightful conversation.i agree. convo in a sc isn't in danger of becoming extinct. in fact, some of these girls will talk your ears off.

Yep, but a lot of the dancers are young, and have never observed that this is a normal expected change in the industry, and so it's a surprise to them. But anyone else though who has been a business for a decade or two has seen it happen again and again. If a business is profitable, competition is going to happen. If on top of that the entry requirements are low (and in the case of stripping, the entry requirements are very low) it's just to be expected that competitors are going to want a piece of the pie. The only thing that really slowed down the competition was the stigma/shame of entering the biz.

There are many more dangerous individuals working in schools, churches, and day cares. In parks, people are constantly being attacked. I see it on the news every day. Why not keep teachers and sexually deprived catholic priests 1500 feet away from their attendees and students? Why not make people jog 1500 feet apart in Memorial Park?
This whole SOB stunt is merely a way for Bill White to run for governer as the "Mayor who cleaned up Houston". Nothing more. As soon as he is gone, things will resume to the way they are. He doesn't care about really cleaning up Houston, just like Bush didn't really attack Iraq for terrorism. It's all politics.... and it's hitting me in the wallet hard.

That's so awful that they post their pics as public record. Thank fucking god I retired, my parents would have died!
