interesting. here in the states it's rampant. well, at least i know it is in quite a few states. the club i'm at right now kicks most of the obvious drug addicts out, but the last 4 places i worked either didn't or slacked on it. i'd say at least 1/2 the girls i worked with in the past had a serious drug addiction. the #1 drug addiction i've seen here in florida strip clubs would have to be meth and the #2 would be coke. let's not even talk about alcoholism. at my current club there's only a couple drug addicts who are "under the radar/good at hiding it" ...oh and... a SHITLOAD of girls addicted to diet pills. i don't know what it is about my club particularly, but goddamn. i see diet pills being popped there left and right.
I'm still floored by the rampant ABUSE not use of drugs in my club. On any given night you can find 3-5 girls passed out in the dressing room. That's out of a 15-20 girl rotation. Makes me sad. I wanna help, but I know it's not my place to:'(

This isn't a profession, but covers all of us. Not that I'm cutting Americans down for this, it's just a fact.
Americans in general are the biggest drug takers in the world.
First we have the illegal drugs: Pot, meth, heroin, cocaine, etc.
Then the legal drugs: Alcohol, caffeine, prescription drugs, nicotine.
The biggest drug pushers are big business (pharmaceutical, soft drink, and cigarette companies).
My drugs of choice are alcohol and caffeine (pepsi, coffee).

^^Could that be because American's work harder and longer than any other developed nation?
Hehe, we take chemical vacations while the rest of the world takes actual vacations to recharge their batteries.

If you said "Entertainers," and that includes all kinds, you'd cover most of them.

Waitress' and Waiter's.
All that I have worked with smoke (weed) before work, during work, and after work. Then drink to pass out after their shift.

There is an urban legend, recently repeated on Seinfeld, that dentists have the highest suicide rate of any profession. This is false. I recently spoke with a public affairs representative at the American Dental Association. They actually did a study on the subject, and found the rate among dentists is about the same as the population as a whole.
I heard the dentist myth and someone said that toll booth operators are really the ones with the highest suicide rate. I always make sure I say thank you when I go thru them. (Anyone in NJ/NY knows that we have millions of them)

I heard the French were the biggest users of drugs like valium. Apparently doctors there hand out benzos like so much candy.
