I worked at HL for 3-4 months before the girls would really talk to me. Now when I go in, many talk to me and I have several "work buddies", but they're all the girls who just work and make money. Basically, it's a very friendly but all-about-work atmosphere. Granted, I go to work for work, and don't spend much time socializing because I'm busy working. But I've ALWAYS been like that and always made friends everywhere else...don't get me wrong, it's not like I never talk to anyone, I do. I just don't spend much time talking because I'm mostly working.
I've been halfway around the world and made friends EVERYWHERE but Phoenix. I hate living in Phoenix, mostly because of that. It's like, I just don't fit in. This has always been my biggest complaint about the city and the reason I always want to be somewhere else. Very depressing, so I have given up and do my socializing when I travel.

I work at the candy store. It's strictly $10 a dance. VIP is twenty dollars to get in, twenty a dance. I like that its usually busy, even in the day. I don't like the stage set up. They have one stage with 4 pours on the very outside of the stage, next to the drink rail and I'm terrified of going near them for fear of knocking someones drink over. The side stage has one pole in the middle, but it isn't really big enough for floor work, atleast for me. I dislike the dressing room setup as well

Wow thread resurrection! lol
Yeah- I've knocked over like 3 beers on the main stage lol. The dressing room is the size of my closet lol.
I havent been to candy store in a year now (just had baby), I've thought of going back for a few shifts before I move out of Phoenix... but I still have some baby weight to lose.
Glad its 10 a dance now- how long you been working there Kenita? Wonder if we ever worked together?

Wow, this thread is extremely helpful, even as old as it is. (And it makes me feel good about my local earnings, too! :D )
I wish it had come up in my searches about Hiliter from last week, my questions are pretty much answered. I'll stick with Eve's Tease.

Did you ever work at Bombshells?
I met a Paris when I was talking to the dancers in the DR about possibly working there...this was maybe a year and a half ago or something.

^^ya know, I haven't worked at Candy Store, but I went in last may to check it out...I talked to the manager and they seemed real nice. I got a good vibe from that club. I always heard they have a good day shift but that might have changed with the economic downturn.

I know a bunch of girls that left Christie's 32nd St to work at Candy Store. Too far of a drive for me, but I've heard great things about it from my former co-workers.

^^ Sooo, not to sound dumb or anything... But are you talking Tucson or Phoenix?? Or maybe the one in Tucson is Candy Shop? I don't know, I'm confused. Anyways, it doesn't at all sound like Tucson, so till corrected I'll just assume Phoenix :D

I actually just started dancing a in January. This is the first club I've worked at (hence my newbie status) I don't have a lot to compare it to, being as the only other club I've been to was abco, once, back when I was naive and thought strip clubs were just brothels. I've been to more clubs in mexico, and those were actual brothels.
I work days and I enjoy it. Sometimes I hang around until about nine-ish and its weird how the atmosphere completely changes. I like days because its more laid back, less drama. I think this is in part due to the fact that most of the day dancers are older, more mature women who just want to make their money and pick their kids up from daycare as opposed to the younger girls who work nights. The managers/djs/bouncers have been really cool with me too.

Hello! I'm new just thought I would put in on this. I have worked Hiliter the past 3 years. It's more of a hang out to drink than a club to make money regularly. You can get lucky and hit regulars that will make it worth your while but its a hard club we have close to 500 girls that work there and come and go. Don't eat the food at Liter rudy puts visine in the dancers food keep a lock for your stuff at liter you will need to lock your things up there. Hiliter has gone down in business the past year and a half.
I went to centerfolds its a high mileage club but thats been the best money I have found Vip is money for sure. But I mostly do the $10 dances on the floor and do about $200- $300 in about four hours on a good shift. The guys agree to dances there easier. It's alot of stage.
Cheetahs is my other club beautiful but no business and its all the girls that worked at hiliter.
I'd say burbon and christies is the best bet. My friend said candy store was good money from stage tips. It is always busy and you do get more than $5 for every dance some guys will tip but to me that I work in Phoenix I already took a pay cut to come out here...then $10 topless dances in all my years dancing never have I heard of anything so cheep I have to draw the line at $5 dances just to have respect for myself in the morning.
I will say girls that have gone to burbon and christies never came back. So I assume they made enough not to have to come back. Those are my next stops.

Good points. To take home $600 you'd have to dance non-stop for what, 7 hours? Which I personally wouldn't mind, but if their business is just as slow it's impossible to do. If $5.00 dances don't draw enough spending customers to do dance after dance for, if it's just as slow as everywhere else, it wouldn't be worth it.
Come to think of it, I remember why one girl told me she no longer works there: The dressing room is connected to the womens bathroom, and theres no lockers and no security cameras. So any girl can walk in and steal shit.
Ok, maybe Candy Store isn't one to check out after all....
A club I worked at for a minute(like one day lol I didnt like it for other reasons) had a dressing room like that. Actually there were two dressing rooms and one simply had toilet stalls (public!) in them. I went there as a customer a few times and always felt strange going to the bathroom and walking in on girls changing and getting ready, their stuff and purses all laid out everywhere. Wtf.

Why on earth would ANYONE travel to Phoenix to work?
I loved living and working there during the real estate boom of 2004-2007, but it has steadily declined since. I will return for golf and spring training season (primarily because I LOVE the weather) and have social capital established at my old club.
Also keep in mind that all dances in Phoenix and Scottsdale are $10. Some clubs have areas where you can upsell $20 dances...but for the most part dances are $10. This is usually very upsetting to girls who travel from cities where their dances are $20.

Well...I've been working at the Candy store for about a month now. It WAS great. They just changed the dances back to 5$ this week to attract more customers. The VIP is still 20$. Most of the guys are opting for the 5$ dances. Tips on stages are minumal. My friend who has been working with me came home last night with 200$. She said as hard as she worked....it should have been 6-700$. Needless to say. We are out of there. You have to do 20 dances just to make 100$ Tip out is pretty high. 35-40$. It was a good month...but....we won't be going back. The guys just don't want to pay 20$ for a VIP dance (plus an extra 20 dollars to the bar just to walk into the VIP) They'd rather have the 5$ dances. Sigh.....

OMFG!
FIVE DOLLAR DANCES!!!!!
How many girls left for other clubs?
carolinetko

I don't know how many left. I haven't been back. My friend said the first night there were only 7 girls left working on Thurs, Friday there were more working but the morale was low. She was unable to work tonight. Every muscle hurt and she was exhausted from the night before. Yes 5$ dances. Hard to believe, but there are no plans to change it back to 10$. Looking for a new club is the plan for this week. lol

The Candy Store was the first club I ever worked at, after which I worked at Bombshells for a while. It sucks that they changed the dances there to $5, that's so shitty! And the tip out most likely stayed the same if they didn't raise it knowing them.

ahhhhhh a group of about 5 ladies came to the club I was stopping at, they said their home club was the Candy Store. I didn't want to be rude and ask why they left, but that explains it!
