View Full Version : HAving music restrictions
We just have to promote a LIBERAL environment. Liberal people understand that in order to have their differences tolerated, they must tolerate other peoples differences. Everyone won't like every song played in a night club or a strip club. ALL of us, dancers, customers, owners, and managers, have to realize that our society is a melting pot of all types of people.
We can't be regulating everyone's choice of music. Who wants to constantly be policed? Just because I am black, doesn't mean I like every black song, and every white person doesn't like every white artist.
Customers patronizing bars know they will hear some songs they like, and others they don't. If they want to hear every song they like, they can listen to CD's or an Ipod in their cars.
And for clubs with DJ's a GOOD DJ knows how to shuffle girls around, so that black girls don't follow each other back to back, and girls who play similar types of music are mixed up too.

You mean thanks to that asshole Djoser. And what the hell kind of name is that, anyway? Why doesn't he spell it correctly? DJ Oser, for chrissakes.
Sorry, but you two just made me start the day off correctly, by laughing a lot.
Alexxa, if had seen what I saw that night, you'd feel even worse about 'the ST song'. I cringe whenever I hear it, which is constantly, in other clubs, from cars driving by, in my head right now. And every time I see those fucking idiots laughing, singing, and spanking her ass, and her going right along with it.
 You know I have nothin but love for ya, Djoser! At first I actually was a little confused about the pronunciation, but Yek actually set me straight the other day at our little SW SoCal meeting. Yes, a table full of blonde strippers briefly talked about your abs somewhere in the OC the other day.
I'm sorry you have been "Clockwork-Oranged" by Akon. If it's any consolation, I can't hear that "Erotic" song by Madonna without picturing a girl with really bad implants flexing them over and over. *shudder*

LOL! I have been fortunate enough not to have had that song ruined for me, not yet.
And I can't bitch about the name confusion--on a stripper forum wirh a bunch of DJs, who's going to think it might be some ancient Egyptian's name?
Oh, and just to clarify--those guys not tipping and spanking the girl to the ST song were all different races. Race has nothing to do with it. Trying to encourage the customers to exercise some semblance of restraint and courtesy has everything to do with it.
I will not sit back and watch customers of any race or musical preference disrespect the women I work with. And I will do everything in my power to prevent it. If that means playing rock for an hour to get the cheap white, hispanic, oriental, or black thugs away from the tiprail to make room for paying customers who will show some respect, that's what I will do.

I actually do kind of agree with this. (like no really hard rock or really hard rap. It'd be stupid to say "no hip hop at all)
I really love Marilyn Manson, NIN, Disturbed, Type O negative and hard house like Praga Kahn and Lords of Acid.... but I have noticed when the dj plays certain really hard core songs for me, I don't make money like I do when I'm dancing to tamer shit. Personally, I use the money I make on stage to buy drinks if I want one or food, I don't even count it as income so I couldn't give a shit and I want to dance to what I like, but I know it annoys the customers.

Well one thing you might want to consider is that your stage show can actually sell you private dances. If a guy is smitten by your stage performance, he will be easy prey afterwards. I have seen it countless times, where a woman put on a great show and promptly vanished for hours into the private dance room or the CR.
So if they like the music, too--it'll be even easier.

***So true djoser i have noticed dancing to classic rock pays well! it makes guys remember the "good old times" and its not just white men that come to tip either its hispanic and black. It makes a good icebreaker for conversation if you know a little something about the music you dance to. Basically it gets the paying custys in a feel good mood, to where they see that you have something in common with them, and you become just a bit more personable to them in a way. Dancing on stage is like having a huge billboard over a busy freeway. It lets everyone know if you are a fun girl, seductive lady, newbie (sometimes) its like an appetizer for the main course, it lets them know what kind of treatment they will get from you is basically what i'm trying to get at. ***
