Hey Carlos, what was Peggy Sue's? It says on the myspace page that Goddess Gentlemen's Club was "formerly Peggy Sue's". It also mentions a Goddess Private Club, that was formerly Egypto. The name Egypto rings a bell, but I can't remember anything specific.
I'm wondering what the deal is with the Gentlemen's Club / Private Club thing. Sounds like it might be a brothel but maybe not...Ok, there must be a slight confusion. It has been the location for several nightclubs, even a stereo shop. Peggy Sue was in its heydey some 15-20 years ago the top nightclub/disco in all of San Juan, it then became Egypto then Stargate then Luxor. In that same building but to the left there has been other clubs, such as Havana. Maybe they'll have a separate area for that "private club" in addition to the gentlemen's club. The blonde dancer whose topless pic adorns the Myspace site, Dara, is (or was) a Divas dancer. So for the moment I guess that it will be a clean club, unless the Deja Vu/Frenchies syndrome gets to it. I also believe that, in addition to competing with Divas, it will attract guys who are avoiding Deja Vu and Frenchies because of all the extras, police raids, etc.

Dara wasn't at Divas when I was there. Did she work there more recently?
I know which club you're talking about now - Egypto/Stargate/Luxor. Thanks. I'm still wondering about the "private club" thing. Sounds suspect to me - private clubs in the US are usually places where illegal activities happen. Also, the fact the place is featuring photos of a girl who once worked at a clean club doesn't mean THIS will be a clean place. But who knows? Carlos, maybe you should go on a fact-finding mission when they open and tell us about it ;D
Yes! sol_de_pr2, go scope this place out for us when it opens and give us all the dirt! PPLLLEEEAASSSEEE!!!!!!!!!!! :detective

I don't know her well enough so who knows, maybe she's into something else:-\

Carlos I didn't mean that maybe Dara is into "something else", just that having her pic on their myspace page doesn't mean anything about what the CLUB is into...
I sent Goddess an email and asked them exactly what a private club/what type of club they are, etc. Here's what I got back.
Hi, Mileia.
Goddess is a Gentlemen's Club. There is a second part of the building we use as a venue "private club" for event, concert after party, special party etc.
I saw your profile yesterday, pretty cool.
My name is Catalina. My co-worker Kelly and I are the general manager.
There is not much on our myspace, the club is brand new we are opening Sept 1.
You can call us anytime for extra info.

Have you work in Divas before???? How do you know about the place????

Catalina?? Kelly?? I've heard those names before...

Catalina!!! She worked in Divas for years. I liked her. Kelly - if it's the same Kelly, she also worked in Divas for years. Kelly was doing promotions/dancer management at Divas recently though - wonder if this is that Kelly or another. And if it's the same Kelly, what happened with her and Divas???
Ask Catalina if she remembers Candice (that was my stage name at Divas).
I'll call and get more info. I just hope they have dancer quarters like Divas so I can save MUCHO DINERO! ;D
Although, Bridgette, you already know how the clubs work over there so you would probably know exactly what questions to ask... :-\

Divas is closed.
Goddess sucks.
The new club, Ice, is pretty sucktastic I hear.
The economy is in the toilet so any vacation spot isn't going to be doing well right now. It might work as a working vacation sort of thing, but don't expect to bring home a profit.

Lips is also open and not a prostitution place. They by far advertise the most, but they are more of a "local" strip club. More spanish speaking non tourist area. Busy but maybe hard for the non spanish speaker. They are opening a second location because they have too many girls at the first club. They pay their girls. No dancer housing. But they pay a small salary.
Ice now charges $400 for dancer housing a month.
These are the only updates i have.
I hate to be a "Debbie downer" but i hate seeing girls coming here all happy and leave like "fuck PR". Because they are told theyll make okay money. The island is beautiful but unless you live here or are visiting family, friends, into exploring the island youre probably not gonna have a good time working out here.
Many girls that are booked out here even for a few weeks" say" they are fine with a working vacation- but the past 3 girls booked out here cried over the money and booked it outta here early.
Puerto Rico is slow and the money is less than in the states, canada , and UK from what other dancers have stated.
It was slow jan to right now. Ive been here sice january and its now august. 8 months. thats a few months shy of a year. I doubt that hurricane season is going to be bigger money thant the winter and summer ,LOL.
I have yet to see the "season" that everyone has claimed. The up season is basically "not right now" at any given moment.
I was here in the winter and in the summer. Be prepared. PR is a beautiful island but coming out here soley for dancing w/no other reason may not make for the best experience.
Just a reminder Youll be taking a vacation that you work on and you may or may not make back what you spent.
If you stay out here for at least 3-6 months you will for sure how to make some bucks in the environment. But for the traveling entainer its not easy or good money. If you invest alot of time into learning the huslte needed here you can make some money.
P.S. This info applies to seasoned hot huslters. there is no lack of hotness or talent out here.

You're right about lips. I made a mistake by adding this club in the black list.

^Anteis it was a pleasure working with you :0)
I just left there, I dont recommend it as a big or even ok $ place.
I do okay there but, i am used to it. i was there for over a year (if you combine all the time). I have friends there and i love the island.
I think girls who are familiar with working on the island already have a better chance of making $.
Camille i see your in Ohio..If its beach your looking for remember there are other beaches in the U.S. where most of the clients will speak english. P.R. is slow.... so if you dont know spanish you are cutting a dead night into an even deader night if you cant talk to the few locals who show up on a bad night, lol.
I think at anyother U.S. beach you could make more than in P.R. but if you are interested in the culture than you may like it.
We do get tourists but its sooo random.
Im on my way to other beaches.....

So Cadencetyme, I wondered a lot about your identity during the past year : with a bit of patience you always have the answer...
Really nice meeting you also, I wish to have more coworkers like you in the future.

Awww. Anteis you are lovely :0)
Camille if you have an interest in going to Puerto Rico because you want to see the island or etc. then you should go!
However there is no club on the island currently working with an agency (that i know of) so youre going to have to choose a club and do some research, number finding, etc. The 2 places i know of with dancer housing charge for the housing.
If you have a friend there working thats one way to get the info.
if you dont know anyone with contacts there you can PM if you are serious about going out there :0)
Just save up a little bit of money in case you dont make what you are expecting or what you are used to. I know i sound cynical. Its a lovely island , i just want girls to be prepared financially before they travel. Its the caretaker in me.

^which one. In san juan?
You can pm me if you'd like because I don't know of any agency to contact for any club in PR since Janet dumped ice and Goddess/isis closed.
If I was working at the club I just left without any agency perks id like to know. I work in PR and got my own apartment and then crashed with a friend this time around so id be interested in knowing where your booking :o)
