I would love to give a better show, but in the city I work in it does not pay off. I am doing several stages at my club during my rotation and it is rare for anyone to make on stage what one would make on the floor doing a single lap dance. So I do the lazy stripper dance and conserve my energy to get through my eight to ten hour shift. The only thing I do on stage besides a slow dance is try to get male customers to come up and talk to me. In the hopes that they will consent to a dance later. Honestly though if I was paid a decent amount to do stage I would do a stage show. But in this city stage=no money. Many dancers here even try to get customers to buy them off stage in order avoid it. Wish things were different but I work with what I have.

^^^Yeah, this was my thought exactly. I'd do a better show if it paid off to do so. I do actually strip seductively, as opposed to removing each article of clothing clinically at the end of each song. That doesn't take any energy. But as far as going all out and putting on spectacular shows with expensive costumes, props, special acts...I've done it. (I put on a badass hula hoop show.)

But I ALWAYS make more on the nights I don a simple but distinctive outfit, do a basic stripper stage show, and hustle my heiny off. Always.

i'm not trying to be argumentative here, i'm just a bit defensive, since i was "jumped on" a while back for a few complaints in a row.

You're not referring to the post I made were you? It had nothing to do with you.

no dottie, i wasn't referring to your post at all.

and

But you just said you love it

i meant i love dancing in the ideal conditions. respectfull customers who want real stage shows and private dances without high contact, etc. but since those conditions aren't common anymore, i don't love it so much on a day to day basis. heh :)

Penny, I hope you didn't feel I jumped on you a while back. I was merely making a point that had to do with your complaints about your club/area, not jumping on you.

As for a good show not paying off in the way of stage tips. It pays off in the way of increased dance sales. Guys may not tip much, but they will come up and tip just to ask for dances when you're done. That's what I get - few clubs are good for stage tips these days, but stage is still a great place to sell your lapdance. If we have to go on stage, why not maximize our time and get a few leads off it? It really doesn't take that much energy to do a nice seductive show ;) I really think the real reason most girls don't even try to do a nice show is laziness - everything else is just an excuse. :P

this is definitely true...just last night i had a number of customers tell me how much they enjoyed my stage because i danced with energy and actually looked like i was having fun. these guys all bought dances from me too with basically no hustling, while almost every other girl was sitting in the dressing room complaining about what cheap losers the customers were.

sometimes i think we get a little too full of ourselves in this business and forget that we may need to give the guys a reason to want to spend money on us. of course, the fact that there really are a fair number of cheap loser customers out there doesn't help either, but that's a whole other discussion.

^ i -love- it when a guy compliments me on my stage show and tells me something like "real dancing a rare find these days". it gives me a little hope and makes me think "well at least SOMEONE is watching/enjoying what i do".

so guys, if you see a girl on stage or even during a PD, who's really -working- it never hurts to compliment her on it. tips are an obvious way, but sometimes we need to hear that we're not up there doing more than most of the other girls, for nothing.

which brings me to this:
i get a lot of comments from customers who come to tip that say "you're working way too hard up here" i always think "no...........i just LOOK like i am because no one else does anymore"
