My god, yes! Those Bratz dolls are the devil.
Toddlers in high heels, glitter gloss, highlighted hair, eye makeup, false lashes, mini skirts and bra tops.
Ugh.
hear hear...I thought those bratz dolls were a joke when I first saw them...good god

I think there should be options for all levels of modesty. I like using my sexuality to my advantage and so I like the lower cut clothes in the junior's section, but not everyone does and there should be clothes available for all tastes.
For kids, I can't believe what some people put on them. I have no issues with nudity in general, but I couldn't imagine parading my (future) children around in skimpy clothes for creepazoids to stare at.

I think as far as bathing suits go, I would let my daughter swim naked if she wants at home (personal pool) but it will be a one piece out and about. Kids are defenseless and while I have no qualms about nudity or women's nipples showing, I will not put my kids on display without their ability to make a rational choice (which, what kid understands the consequences of wearing skimpy clothes?). When she hits puberty (as in menstruates and wears a training bra) then we could move to the two piece... b/c you are already having the "sex is risky" talk at that point due to fertility.

I have a four year old daughter who is big for her age (argh and isn't that hell? having a four year old worrying about being too big?????she's a tall healthy amazon of a girl) she wears about a size 7 or 8.... it is IMPOSSIBLE to buy her appropriate clothes! The jeans are hipsters and her lil bum hangs out the top, the trackies are HIPSTERS and her lil bum hangs out the top..... I have to buy her boiys tracksuit pants and cover them in lil embroidered doodads to convince her they are girls clothes..... boys clothes btw are still the sme styles my bro used to wear 20 odd years ago....
I dont mind her wearing lipgloss and princess dresses, and it is very easy to find approriate underwear, if kids are getting about in crotchless knickers that's their mum's fault. But the outter clothes r a nightmare, even SHOES ffs! I have been looking for a few weeks for a pair of boots (winter in oz) and the only ones in her size have HIGH HEELS and POINTY TOES!!!!! zrghh either that or they are knee high black leather numbers.
What i find scary is unless a chil;d is a little pixie thing nothing fits them comfortably or properly. From what I have seen most little kids have pot bellys and chubby bitys. What the hell are we doing to their self esteem if they can't ever fit into their clothes because they are "too big"??? I am really scared that if I were not careful to bolster her self esteem my daughter could end up with an eating disorder before she even hits puberty!

I know most of us had some 70's, or 80's gear on & kids clothes were NOT hoochie back then.... Leggings were as hoochies as it got (and shirts showing your shoulder) woooooohhhh shoulders!!.... lol. I put my little one in character clothing anything with dora on it. Kids are more interested in wearing characters then name brands.
