But why would you WANT to take random comments and half conversations of people you dont know and compile them into a site?
If there is a way to disable this capability..yes I would hope for the sake of many here that it would be done. But in the meantime...whether it is allowed or not..after seeing how much people here are upset by it...morals would lead you to stop doing it.
1) keep in mind, that disabling RSS feeds is a double-edged sword. If they do it, they'll be taking away a great feature that allows anyone that wants to to monitor and post to the forum without having to constantly check the web page. (I used it to monitor my post for bouncer advice). Sometimes moderators use it to keep track of who's posting what, and to keep people from spamming forums, posting to the wrong ones, or breaking the rules of ettiquite (IE, guys posting to the ladies only forum etc).
The trade off here, is that either a) blog owners will have the ability to swipe your posts, or B) SW owners WON'T.
2) The guy doesn't have morals. He's literally using the posts to create a blog to generate his own ad revenue. he's making money off you the same way Stripperweb does. The only difference of course being that you're not getting anything in return.

Sadly though SW doesnt make money off ads. Which is what irritates me..why should this guy get to make money off us with ads but Pryce cant?? Thats BS.

that's a fine point; I never even realized it..
holy wowsa, pryce is a saint.
still, shutting down RSS would kinda hinder the ability to easily monitor stuff; it'd sorta send y'all back to the stoneages of bbs maintenance...

Hey,
I just found an email in my inbox and decided to address this issue. I didn't receive any phone calls as I'm not in the US and that phone hasn't been turned on in over a month. I can explain myself quite easily here.
I'm a webmaster that owns many sites, some of which I just fill with random material while they're in the developmental stages, strippergeek.com is one such site. I started out having a girl write for it many months ago but she stopped. Going through my old sites, I decided to put something on it.
This is where RSS came in. Most of you seem to think that I'm copying and pasting all the content from this site to mine and that isn't the case. Many websites and most forums have RSS feeds (RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication). By using a script on my blog, I can very easily and legally pull all the content from sites onto mine. RSS feeds can be enabled and disabled by site owners if they don't want this to happen. All I'm doing is pulling the content that's found here and that is meant to be syndicated by others:
http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/external.php?type=RSS2
If the owner wants to disable that feature, that's his/her perogative. It's very easy to do and I will offer help if needed. However, by leaving it enabled it allows anyone to publish this content wherever they want without repercussions.
Hope you all understand and sorry about any confusion.
So if it's not disabled you're gonna keep using our stuff? Can't you come up with your own "stripper stories" or something?

Actually it's not legal to use an RSS feed to copy the copyrighted contents of this website. It's possible, as you've shown; but it is by no means legal. You're commiting a crime - even if you're using a 'script on your blog' to do it. It's not the responsibility of the site owner to disable the legitimate use RSS to keep you from commiting this crime.

Dude, even if what you think you're doing is "OK", I'm sure the photographer of the photos of Sirona you stole and posted will not think so. You are violating the copyrights of those photos and can be sued.

Sorry buddy but it isn't legal to gank copyrighted materials without permission. Hence my photographs which are copyrighted to various photographers are not up for grabs.
Incidentally how sad of an individual are you that you can't come up with your own content but feel the need to just mirror someone else's site under your name.
ps - I will be contacting the aforementioned photographers and reporting what you're doing. I singed a model release for ALL of my work and the only people allowed to use that work is the photographer and myself, not whomever feels like thieving them.

Either he took it down or the letter(s) to the hosting company did the trick.
Even if what he did was underhanded, how he handled it was the high road. He did do ethically what should be done.
His response on here was very prof. and straight forward.
Let there be many lessons learned here. The obvious one being we aren't in a bubble. Obviously people find us for various reasons. Our photos, posts and intimate details are public. I'm sure he isn't the only one out there ripping off our site. Many probably assume that they won't get caught doing what they do considering how vast the web is.
He was't attempting to pose as us, but used our posts as "filler" for content. I don't agree with it but I understand what he was doing. Not in that sympathic kind of way but as a business kinda way.
This forum and many others out there, are much like the notes we passed in class. And the advice that was given to us when we would get caught
" Never write anything that you wouldn't want the world to know about ".

He must be a traveling dude, since the site's IP was in Texas, and the address for the registration is in Pennsyltucky... but the registrar's address is in NOLA... and he's not in the US....
But yeah, we're crazy for not wanting our stuff ripped off. Gee.
I thought crazy was one of our endearing qualities.

I appreciate what you said, and my comment wasn't directed towards you personally. It's the rest of the people who, even when the right thing (what everyone here wanted) is done, still have negative comments.

Yeah, I think crazy is sexy, but that's just me... and you... and perhaps the rest of the SW crew but... I think this guy is mistaking crazy for honest and his definition might be a bit askew... and I'm sure honest isn't sexy to a net leach.

I know it's one of mine. ;D
^ lol!!!
You know how I look at it, after being called the Crazy Girlfriend by like 10 different men in my life, I have had to embrace it.
It's better than being the "psycho ex " and us crazies do know there is a difference!
Psycho= cutting off your balls and mailing em' to the whore you cheated on us with. When we break up with you
Crazy= dreams of cutting off your balls, and makes small posts on SW about the most effective way to sever someones testicles. Then sleeps with the cheaters roomie..then makes a post complete with camera phone photos on SW>

I thought it was pretty normal human behavior to be pissed off when someone has fucked with you. We aren't light switches; you don't just remedy your wrong doing and expect tense feelings to just go POOF! in mid-air.

Really, no matter why he did it, I'm happy it's done. Hent, if you really don't want to listen to crazy strippers you know you don't have to; you've removed our content, we are pleased and if you stop reading and posting here we certainly won't bother you anymore.
He was't attempting to pose as us, but used our posts as "filler" for content. I don't agree with it but I understand what he was doing. Not in that sympathic kind of way but as a business kinda way.I disagree; it called itself a blog, provided no reference or link back to stripperweb and the entire construction was to make it seem like the posts were part of the blog, not taken from a message board. That is ripping off our material in the most classic and obvious sort of way; it isn't like these contentious cases in which RSS feeds are collected from different sources on a subject and the reader is linked back to the original site. He was just plagiarizing.
I do get what you are saying about us not existing in a vacuum; and truly anyone who thought we were has now been reminded.

Ok..I (and many others)gave the guy props and he calls us crazy. I feel like I need to cancel my props.
You know how to not have to deal with "crazy" strippers? Dont steal their shit in order to make a whole jacked website of your own about..STRIPPERS!!!
Make a website about goldfish..they dont get mad when their shit gets stolen because they only have a 10 second memory. Our memory however, is much longer.

I could care less abut any posts I'VE made being read elsewhere (although I find it pretty screwed up that they were on a site that gave the appearance of being a personal blog kept by a dancer, which it wasn't).
Having someone else's artistic worked ripped off is bullshit. Sorry. *shrug* Just my POV.

Ok, the site is down... time to move on. Turning this thread into a flame war will most likely cause more off-site drama.
I'm cleaning up the insults to make things civil for future reference.
This thread is closed-tastic.
