wow. there were some products i knew i needed to get the look i've been wanting, and now i know what they are. last time i tried to get help at a mac store, all the salesgirl (despite her own gorgeous look) could do was point out colors. sephora made a lot of money off me that day. if only that girl knew makeup the way you do.
i hope you'll do more tutorials. my eyes are shaped similarly to yours, and i've never managed to get pastels to look good on me, especially that shimmery pastel look. got any good techniques/products that will help?

The Silver Version
You will need:
A pale silver e/s (MAC Forgery
A dark silver e/s (MAC Knight Divine)
A black e/s (MAC Black Tied)
A highlight color (MAC Arena)
Starting with our base already applied...pick up some pale silver shadow (Forgery) and apply from the inner corner to the middle of your lid.

http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s19/littledogstoronto/silver1.jpg
Now pick up some black shadow with a precise crease brush and apply to the outer v like we did before.
http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s19/littledogstoronto/silver3.jpg
Grab some dark silver shadow (Knight Divine) with a good fluffy blending brush. Apply where the light silver and black meet, blending harsh lines away and extending it towards the inner and outer corners.

It should look like this.
http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s19/littledogstoronto/silver6.jpg
Now grab your highlight (Arena) color and apply to the browbone blending down and getting rid of the harsh lines from that gray we applied.

Like this.

Now I pick up some more of that pale silver (Forgery) and apply lightly over the Arena to give it that silver tone.

Pick up some black shadow with an angle brush and line underneath your eyes with it.

Fill in your brows, apply eyeliner on top and bottom, and apply mascara (no lashes for me today, but for work definitely). Should look like this.

http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s19/littledogstoronto/silver12.jpg
The lips we did for the bronze look are too warm for silver. I like a pale pinky nude lip. Line lips with Subculture and fill them in.

Apply Myth lipstick with lip brush.

Top with C-thru lipglass.

This blending technique is my easiest and most used and I love sharing it with you guys. In the future, I will update this thread when I do this technique using blues, purples, greens, pinks, etc.

LatinaRose,
I was just thinking I wasn't sure if i wanted to go to the trouble of making a new "techno" list this week with links etc... Then I see THIS. O-M-G! It's time for bed and I haven't read the whole thread yet, so this is probably repeating praises (which you so deserve), but thank-you for sharing your passion and talent with everyone. You're an amazing, talented, generous, and let's not forget gorgeous, girl. And your boyfriend rawks it out for being supportive and helping you with the diagrams.
I had a photoshoot a few weeks ago, with pro hair and make-up, and kept thinking "Ugh, I wish LatinaRose was here, she'd make me look a million times better".
And if it wasn't for your first tutorial, I'd still be getting globs of Duo all over my eyelids. I never realized you had to let it get tacky first. :D
:thanx:

Thanks, I'm glad y'all are getting somke use out of it. I'm wondering if I should have put the silver one in a new thread...doesn't seem to be getting much of a response, so I don't think girls are checking this thread like when it was new.

Work was put into this... and I am impressed. You do a good job on the tutorials. They are very thorough and well thought-out, and the application is well above average. Congrats.
In fact, I am going to take some tips from this myself.

Yes, you might want to do this. I didn't know it was there.

You know I love purple. I tried this blending technique with my purples, but it just didn't work right. I think I used the picked wrong pruples that didn't go right with each other, so if you could do a purple smokey tut, I woudl love you forever.
Or at the very least, show me what the right color family would be.

Awesome. I would definitely like to step out of the brown-and-pink eyeshadow pallette but I can never find anything else that looks right with my skin. I dream and dream of those bold beautiful MAC shades... one of these days!

Sorry to dig up something old.....
but I was bored tonight and I tried this.
and I failed. haha. It doesn't look bad but it's not LatinaRose quality. I have very round eyes.... doesn't work as well. Although I did try the tape technique I saw on Spektra. That helped big time.
Any round eyed girls have tutorials to give??
