STOP IT ...STOP IT.. Three trip and not a bath by myself in three days. I can't take it. I love lush.(your pics are not helping LR) I have not had a bath alone .....between my husband, 13 yr (you are now contributing to the deliquincy of a minor) and 6 yr old. The smell alone brings them running!!
Stop the madness now!! We are all hooked!!!
I agree with the OP My habit is now quad full

Soooo Katherine...tell us what ya got! Did your credit cards make it out alive??
Some more pics I found...}:D
Honey Bee - smells delish!! Especially if you like foody scents. The yellow water weirds me out, so I add lots of bubbles, light a candle and relax in the dark.

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c86/latinrose222/honey2.jpg
Black Pearl - named after the Pirates movie and his a hidden message inside it. Being discontinued soon, so pick it up while you can.

I know Lush seems a little expensive, but I sure don't spend $20 a bath! I split a lot of the bombs and smaller bubble bars in two. The bigger bubble bars I split in 4-6 pieces, so that lasts awhile. I am more of a shower person, so I only take 2-4 baths a week. Or you can save your Lush for a treat once a week or something. Just wanted to point that out for those who are scared of going in there and walking out with no cash in their purse!!

I -just- got the black pearl because I assumed it had to be discontinued soon. Haven't used it yet.
I accidentally used half the nude bar in my bath last night. It broke off weirdly... but I am so soft now! :x
I spent $120 yesterday. I had set aside $200! Good girl I am!
I got happy pill and I got widdle baby baff just to see if I could have mini baths with the baby baths. I got some bath melts, one massage bar.. oh... and about $20 of free samples.. because I gave puppy eyes. :D

I never ever used to take baths either!!! Shower girl all the way. After I walked by Lush a few times and read all the hype about it on Specktra, I was super curious. Once I came across a picture of a pink bath overflowing with bubbles, I knew I had to try it. Hooked. I love baths now. They make me feel so feminine and girly and sexy. Lush makes it so much more fun and enjoyable.
This is the product that sucked me in and I always have on hand. It's huge and you could make it stretch for 8 baths if you really needed to. But I like to indulge so I cut it in 4 pieces which makes for tons of bubbles. It also goes well with a lot of the other bath stuff.
Meet the Comforter...the bath equivalent of a fluffly pink comforter that you wanna hide under.

I was gonna tell you that I chickened out on going yesterday (was too busy mon and got sick today) cause I'm afraid of getting hooked... The best way to not do drugs is to never try em, right?
So... I still really don't feel well and foresee myself calling out sick again tomorrow (unfortunately I still work from home when I call out sick...). But now I'm determined to go friday lunch and I swear to high heaven that I will NOT spend more than $100.
Umm... plus tax. :)

Where's the fun in that?? ;D
You should get this. It's the Art Of Bathing gift set, a collection of their best bath products. The hatbox is gorgeous and you can use it to store your Lush afterwards. And it'll cap you right under $100 and you won't go crazy trying to decide what to buy!!!
I know it's a gift, but I've always wanted to buy it for myself since it's so damn pretty!

i have a serious weakness for bubble bath stuff.

Ok. So I went during lunch today.
My total, with tax, ended up being $132.81. So I didn't go over budget too bad...
I bought:
2 black pearl bath bombs
1 honey bee bath bomb
1 blackberry bath bomb
1 bubble bar- the comforter
1 bubble bar- candy
1 creamy candy bath melt
1 you've been mangled bath melt
1 ceridwen's cauldron body thingy
1 shampoo bar- godiva
1 medium flying fox gel
1 babyface
1 large ocean salt scrub
Then she gave me a romance bath bomb and small buffy bar for free when I told her it's my birthday tomorrow (it really is)
AND, then I also got samples of:
jungle hair conditioner
ultra bland face cleaner
sympathy for the face
YAY!!! I can't wait to go home and try everything!
:P

Hell yeah, free Buffy! Just a tip - don't get it very wet or put it under water. You will never see your money melt away so fast. Oh wait you didn't pay for it. But still. If I use it in a bath, I soak in the tub for awhile, then stand up and scrub with it. You don't even need to get it wet, the heat and wetness on your skin are just warm enough for it not to melt too much. If I use it in the shower, I wait til the end of a hot shower, aim the water away, and take care not to let it get too wet. I made mine last a few months this way.
Let us know how you like your stuff! You have to get All that Jas and Sex Bomb next time, m-kay? There will be a next time!

I didn't like Godiva as much as the other bar I bought last week but I can't remember which bar I bought, I left it at someone's house! :/
Katherine
08-03-2007, 09:40 PM
I liked the smell of the ultra shine shampoo bar, but went for the godiva cause the lady said it was more moisturizing and still left the hair shiny.
LR- Thanks for all the tips! I almost got the sex bomb, but went for two black pearls instead. I had your 'it's discontinued so stock up' line going through my head...
I'm super psyched for to try the bath melts, I remember what you said about doing bubbles first if you're cocktailing.
I didn't buy any, but am really interested in the massage bars.
Anyone have a favorite?

Yeah, they'll never get rid of Sex Bomb :crossfing hope not!
Massage bars - I have Therapy and Mange Too. Therapy is a good one to have on hand, but it's not too exciting. Mange Too smells amazing (honey, white chocolate, peppermint, bananas) but the texture is not too smooth. So I don't have a fave yet. I want to try Each Peach, Soft Couer, and Wiccy next.
I forgot I did try American Cream conditioner. Not impressed really, I think that's why I haven't tried any more haircare. Their skin care really clogged my pores, too. I do want to try another Bio-fresh mask, too, but their cleansers and moisturizers are out for me.
I suggest using one of those Black Pearls all on its own one time, but here's some cocktail suggestions off hand:
Black Pearl + 1/4 Comforter
1/2 Blackberry + 1/4 Comforter
1/2 Creamy Candy melt + 1/2 Creamy Candy Bubbles (bubbles first, then melt) (I usually enjoy the bubbles for 10 minutes or so before adding the melt and I like to rub the melt all over for extra moisturizing before it disappears)
1/2 Honey Bee + 1/2 Candy bubbles
Godiva + Flying Fox in the shower
I suggest halving things unless you have a really large tub. I have a nice sized one and if I'm cocktailing, I split them. If I'm using one on it's own, I throw the whole thing in. The smaller ones (butterball, black pearl) I always use a whole one, they're not worth splitting.
Katherine
08-04-2007, 07:58 AM
Cool. Thanks.
I'm taking my first lush bath in a couple hours! :)
I didn't see the American Cream conditioner. All I saw was the jungle one. It's a solid like the shampoo bars. The lady told me to take a tiny bit off and rub in palms to get it to melt and become cream. Once you have the newly white (stars off green) cream all over your hands you then put in through your hair. She said she'll add it to dry hair as a control cream too. I think I'll use it more like that as I have a favorite conditioner in my shower...
The only thing I've used already is a bit of the flying fox mixed with a bit of the ocean salt to exfoliate my hands. Yummy.
I'm psyched to try a bath bomb, that's what sparked my interest, but I'm doing the 3 suggestion you listed. I have a feeling that the bath melt will be my fave item.
I wanted to buy the something wicked this way comes cause it was purple and that's my favorite color, but I was only letting myself get two of various products (expect the bath bombs) and it was my third favorite smell. :(
Next time... :)
Thanks again for all the tips LR!

^^That's awesome!! I'm jealous, you'll get to try everything! For free!!! And they come out with all kinds of special edition stuff at Christmas. Some stuff is the same but different colors to make it more holiday, but some stuff is totally new and not available year round. I keep hearing about last year's stuff - Snowcake soap is an obsession on the forum. Doesn't that sound yummy?? They also had a bomb called Jingle Spells - dark purple with floating silver stars, mmm. And 10 hours a week sounds perfect - just enough to enjoy Lush and the holidays without getting frustrated and cranky.
You will be gifting Lush to everyone, lol. I'm planning on giving Lush to nearly every female I know! Guys too!
Have you gotten your boyfriend into it yet? Mine thinks my obsession is cute, luckily. Here's a hint - I can always convince him to get me some new stuff if I promise one of my purchases is a new massage bar and he'll get a wicked massage that night. Sold! }:D
Katherine - look at you, enabling away!!! }:D I take it you enjoyed your stuff??
Isn't it weird how Lush makes you want to enable others more than other companies?? I enable with MAC but this is totally different.

Katherine, which store do you go to? Soho, Union Square, Herald Square or Upper West Side? Herald Square is having another one on the 17th - $45 purchase gets you a 1/4 pound of I Should Coco soap (you'll love their soap) and first 20 to RSVP get a free goody bag. Upper West Side has one the following day, but no good give aways or goody bags (just a raffle).
Anyway, you can check for parties here on the calendar of events:
But not all the stores post their parties to the calendar, some post them to the forum:
If Herald Square is your store, you are lucky! They have some really good give aways! Don't forget to RSVP so you get that goody bag. This is how I've learned to work the system as a customer - go to nearly any store on a party day and you will most likely get some cool free stuff.
Lysondra - I'm sure it'll be lots of fun! Training itself should be a blast! You have to bring some Australian Lush with you next time you come back.
