Excuse my ignorance, but why isn't there any agencies in USA that are ran like the agencies down under? both show wise and security wise?
We offer those kinds of shows and none of the girls like to take them. the 30 minute shows pay about $75 and the dancer is required to dress in theme costume and possibly sing a song as well.
It is next to impossible to find girls to take these shows. Susan Wayward does a great job and makes bank$ when she goes out.
But the majority just see the $75 paycheck and pass on the show. US dancers won't take a party for less than $175 for an hour show (mostly). It depends on the region, though.

You're paid either by invoice or when you get there. Usually it's around $250 and you pay the agent $50. You get $200 and you do a whole huge actual showgirl type thing - much like a Canadian feature would do - but with toys... you can invite guys into your arena but that's YOUR area to do what you choose.
That is why it wouldn't work in the US. Most agents wouldn't pay their girls that well and most customers have been burned by bad agencies sending out street level hookers to do a bachelor party.
And you made a good point that there are laws in the US against toy shows. Heck, I think it is illegal to buy sex toys in several states! Texas and Alabama for sure.
But mostly, the customers don't want to pay that much. We live in the land of the "Cheap". I get calls from customers wanting working porn actresses to perform at their parties. When I quote them the $780 price tag for a one hour show, you'd think I asked them to donate a kidney or something.
I do get enough elite clients that are willing to pay the higher prices for the feature level dancers, but most of time it is just a big pain in the ass.
I get calls from customers that think the show should be under $100 for an hour long performance. Then they say that they have gobs of money to tip with::).
This one just slays me...I get guys calling saying that he *knows* that the dancer would love to do the party for free because him and all his buddies are so good looking:rotfl: Idiots.
The funny thing is that it is the female customers that are willing to pay more and tip better than the male customers. Maybe it is because they sympathize with the dancer? Who knows.

I still stand by saying it is a cultural difference. Because of how each has been run for .. well.. forever it has become part of each 'culture' as such. Thus it is custom and aussie culture to pre-pay at all times in re: any adult entertainment be it within a strip club or a private party.
It isn't in the aussie culture to tip. It is the american culture.
Slight differences like that make up the reason why each are run like they are... imo
edit to add: Australia still has 2 hour+ long bookings except not for the showgirls usually. The 2hr+ bookings start to go into the domain of topless/nude waitressing. Whilst some waitresses are also showgirls (do waitress + show sort of deals), not all waitresses are showgirls.

I wasn't counting that. That's waitressing. You can sell lapdances if you really want and a show afterward, but that's your choice. Otherwise you're paid to waitress and serve drinks and flirt.
Welcome to Australia. I often refer to it as America in the early 1990s. Just before the depression: the land of opportunity. Just nobody knows about it yet.

I get the dancers gets $200 and $50 to the agency, but I'm confused about the tipping? Do the people who attend stags not usually tip the dancers?

In Texas I did not work for an agency and I charged $300 an hour up front; some parties tipped well, some didn't, but regardless I knew I was guaranteed that $300 (minus security). In the NW it's less up front but better tips in general. It evens out.
Paris, that $250 AUD is $200 US, making the dancer's cut about $160 U.S. which isn't significantly different from what we can expect from a half hour's work. Those $75 shows are usually really, really, short, like 15 minutes, too.
I would also like to add that in addition to not being sexually assaulted at any calls Paris has sent me to, I have not been requested to sing a song. I also don't have to worry about having edibles to insert in my hooch which I think adds to the preparation time considerably.

Nope. I have been tipped at a show ONCE and it shocked me, they were all 20 year old hotel partyers! I was worried going in that it would be bad... and I was completely dumbfounded leaving! You go in, do a half hour show.. leave. No tips, no nothing.
Sometimes you get tips waitressing if you do extras like lapdances and things. But a lot of times you get tips waitressing if you're doing it at a pub.

I'm with Lysondra. It is not common practice for alot of private party booking to tip the showgirls or even the waitresses. Most of the time the private parties know how much everything is going to cost and only have the money for what they are needing to pay for and nothing much more. The only time you can expect tips is when you are waitressing a private party where they have to buy drinks over the bar as well as in pubs.
It is different in the strip clubs where tipping is a more common practice (and even then it depends on the club).

I have two bad experiences, but they were both years ago when I was really new at entertainment. Both involved guys who wouldn't take No for an answer. One guy hit me, I guess to scare me into submission and got hit back just as hard and kicked and stomped on with my go-go boots (the heels are vicious!) before I ran out screaming and banging on every door along the hallway. Another guy actually chased me down the hallway of his 5star hotel and was picked up on the security camera and prosecuted for assualt.
Now I require credit card deposit or Reference from a dancer, club or escort before doing a private session/show. And I talk to him on the phone a few times in advance. If doesn't seem like a guy I will really enjoy spending time with, I don't. Why chance it? My life is way more important than the money.
back on topic the only private party i did was when one of the girls asked me to fill in for her at the resort
we do something a little diffrent with resorts they go around the agent they come direclty to us and make an offer and pay up front and charge it to the guys bill
not all places do this usually just the no kid ones but anyways
i showed up at the room when i was suppose to nocked on the door
preformed and left on my way wiht my bouncer
but i forgot something and on the way back out of the room the secound time this guy kept begging just to touch me i said no and attempted to run out of the resort he followed got as far as the parking lot and passed out
no harm no foul
just always stay with your bouncer!!
can not stress the importance

We don't get tipped because our pay rates are a lot higher, and rather than doing games and stuff, we just perform a show.
I don't do toy shows or anything, just standard strip shows, and part of that show usually includes rubbing lotion all over myself and serving marshmallows off my boobs. All I do is walk in, get changed, dance for 15 mins and leave with $100-$140. There's no hanging around, no games, no extra stuff.
I've been tipped a few times, but only in the sense of them telling me to keep the change, eg. They owe me $140 and give me 3 x $50 and tell me not to worry about giving them change.

^Yep, that happens more often than not. I do toy shows which run about $250 for me. I have a show this weekend for $380, but it's a special 45 minute one.
The time before I mentioned I got tipped these guys, after my show, actually took money out of their wallets (we're paid up front) and handed me another $80 and said I deserved tips. From a group of 5 20 year olds in a hotel!! Anybody who's ever done PP work in Australia can tell you why I was completely floored with that one. All the signs pointed to shit 'trouble' and they were the SWEETEST.

does the agency you work for send you a secruity person or do you have to provide your own? What about your music? Is all that your responsibility too?

Yup. We make our own sets or our own music... but there's people in the industry you can hire for like $30 to make a mix just for you. And you pay/bring your own security. If it's your partner (which it usually is), you don't pay. But I pay, on average, about $1 a minute for each minute my security is at a show. So he gets $15 if I get a 15 minute show... but $30 if I get half an hour.. and with one every hour, he makes good money. So he also drives me. And I pay petrol.

Hey, running around at the last minute looking for strawberries and whipped cream when you're wearing stilettos and a trenchcoat over a schoolgirl outfit is no fun.

^^ or cucumbers, bananas and other edibles for a fruit n vegie show
I tend to stay away from those sorts of shows for my own personal reasons (plus cream stinks! I don't always have time to have a shower between shows nor do I want to have a shower at the party.. don't want to hang around that long).
Generally all shows are no touching anyway ... everything is up to me whether I allow touching and/or any interaction.
As for security, costumes and music: yes that is up to the dancer to provide all of that.

^ Don't use strawberries. Put the banana inside you and put cream on the banana tip after you open it and let the guys eat that way. Banana skin covers you from stupid lickers, they get whipped cream and you have no mess!

In re the strawberries: It was out of my hands. The only time I have ever done a show involving edibles is in Darwin via the Catwalk contract. They provide this as one of the shows they offer and I asked them about if I could alter it or if they could offer something else instead of it yet no. I did two strawberries and cream shows and I didn't enjoy doing either.
I wish I could have done the banana instead. The whole thing with the SnC show is that it wasn't penetrative thus not regarded as a xxx show thus the pay was less overall. :(
Cameron... you DO need to get to Australia

I have never worked a club that there wasn't some problem with a custie getting too handsy or grabby and have to be 86ed. They all seem to think because they give the dancer money that this gives them the right to do what ever they want to us.I realize that drinking so much doesn't help them make good judgment but come on clubs have been around for years hell forever and the rules have pretty much stayed the same. They don't get it yet?? And just because some naive ok ignorant girl acts stupid and lets them go farther then she should shouldn't give them the idea that we are all like that.
Most of us are respectable Beautiful women who are showing what god gave us and there's nothing wrong with that! The ones who think there is something wrong with it are ugly prudish ole bittys who are jealous because they never had the looks or the body to do it! Most of us have families to support or help support and husbands who love us.
We are normal people, but for some strange reason when you work as a dancer all of the sudden you're not a person you're an object ,a toy, to be thrown around and squeezed and drooled on You sure don'y see any woman in a grocery store or a clothing store getting groped and squeezed. You pay PG & E for power, and AT &T for phone service, and you don't see any women from those places getting grabbed or thrown around. Why should it be any different for us?? We are providing a service and thats all. We should be treated with respect and consideration and kindness nothing more.
I was actually in a situation at one of the clubs I worked where this complete idiot wouldn't let me go!! I was finished dancing for him and when I turned to walk away he grabbed me pulled me down on his lap and refused to let me go.It took 2 bouncers and my husband to get me out of his clutches He was squeezing so tight I could barely breath. After I was freed from him the bouncers escorted him out by dragging him. After they got him outside my husband proceeded to beat the crap out of him telling him to Never come back that his kind wasn't welcome there.Luckily he took the advice. I've got lots of stories like that about me and other girls I worked with. The customer is Never Innocent!!!

Ok so I am a little late for this convo, I never come into this section of the board...
So I danced at this club and THOUGHT I knew these guys pretty well. They always behaved well in the club and tipped well. They asked me to do a party. So I said yes. I told them I had to be paid for my 2 hours in FULL when I arrived for any dancing to go on...
So I took my boyfriend and his friend who (literally) was the size of the tree trunk. I get there and there are 3 other girls. I thought I would be the only one, but that was fine. But then they are attempting to scrape together my money and I tell them to just pay me for an hour. I already told them at the club when I agreed to do the party that there was no touching or sex happening with me and they fully agreed.
So I go in to change and come out with the other 3 girls. Well, from the start stuff was wrong. They were trying to touch me and all that...which I doubt would have happened if 2 of the other girls weren't just being hoes. There was no show for them, they were just clothed one second and butt naked hopping on laps the next (this was when I danced at a go-go bar in Jersey). So after my boyfriend almost breaks someone's hand for trying to go under my one piece for the third time, I tell them I am done...
So I go in the bathroom and change and when I come out, one of the hoes is negotiating how mcuh to f*ck with some guy in the next room...I was glad I left. I certainly hoped that the other girl was ok, but she chose to stay even though she didn't seem to be down with the sex. Last party I ever did outside of a club.

I've been doing PPs for over 2 years now, haven't really run into any trouble aside from the occasional hands trying to wander where they shouldn't and guys trying to sneak pictures on their cameraphones. I don't know of anyone who has had problems that weren't solved by leaving the party. I have seen fights break out between partygoers, but that has happened only twice (I've done about 125-150 parties). But I have security with me at all times, I don't drink, and I don't do extras. I have found that if you act like a whore you are treated like one. Generally I am treated with a lot of respect--I'll get requests for sex but they typically take no for an answer the first time. Private parties can be safe and good money if you are with a decent agency and have good security.

I don't do private parties. Never have, never will. I may make an exception for an all female private party however! If I ever got an offer. :)

I've been working as a party dancer off and on for four years and have kept up my contacts over three counties. The only thing I've ever heard of during or before my time was a girl doing a private one-on-one show with a guy who was high, didn't want her to leave at the end of her time, and beat her up. She was hospitalized but eventually fine.
That's including the experiences of two of my bosses who have worked in the same area for over fifteen years.
