* Girls who whine (and whine, and whine) about how bad their lives are to customers at the bar. Get a real hustle!
* Girls who entertain cheap scumbags at the bar for hours in exchange for free drinks.
* Girls who go out of their way to offer extras cuz they can't make money otherwise!
* Worn out, dirty heels with the paint scraped off. Ugh!
* Worn out, mismatched, dirty costumes.
* Working with chipped nailpolish.
* Throwing EVERY STRIPPER TREND TOGETHER to form one outfit! Rhinestones paired with fishnet shirts, g strings with long ties, and leg warmers all at once = puke.
* Yelling on the job. The worst is when ghetto girls do this to each other WHILE GIVING A LAPDANCE.
* Stringy, dirty hair.
* Botched boob jobs (or other surgeries).
* Ugly fat chicks who scare customers away. Put your 'mom jeans' back on and go back to your desk job! No one wants to see a naked soccer mom!
* Immature, jealous young girls who think trashing on other girls to customers will make them look good.
* Girls who act like they're at a singles bar.
* Being wasted or high on the job.
* Banging heels on stage.
* Chewing gum on the floor.
* I think it's in poor taste to eat on the floor too. Take it to the dressing room.
* White trash and ghetto girls, period.

The jerking-off-the-pole thing makes me think of the Ultimate Tacky Move, which, as I have only seen it in a movie and NEVER in real life, I'm not sure even actually exists: See "Showgirls". You know what I'm talking about. Has any stripper, anywhere, ever actually LICKED the pole? I'd genuinely be curious to see if anyone here ever witnessed such a thing. I know "Showgirls" is ridiculous in every way, but they had to get the idea from somewhere. Unless that was just Elizabeth Berkeley's own innovation, just from being 'in the moment'.

Seems that someone has done that lol ;D

http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?t=97228&page=2

lol...one of my clubs had an amateur night last week, and one of the girls full-on licked the pole. blegh! I don't even want to think about what you could pick up from doing that.

Ew! Most have already been mentioned, but I hate:

- any sort of shoe that flashes, accepts tips, takes batteries, etc.
- white creases under the butt from tanning beds
- the jerking off of the pole, wtf?? I saw a girl do it who looked about 12.
- raggedy extensions
- raggedy anything, unless it's part of an overall look (like ripped fishnets, which are still hard to pull off for a lot of girls, don't try unless you know what you're doing)
- mismatched outfits, shoes, and thongs, please coordinate!
- bad posture!!
- showing custies pictures of your kids, for some reason, I've only seen this in Detroit, anyone else?
- licking your own nipple
- slamming your heels together onstage or during dances (it makes me jump! i hate it)
- going outside in your stripper outfit!
- talking to customers about other dancers negatively

There is so much more! If I could go in to work for just one night, I'd probably have a whole other list.

Tacky is..

Chicks that constantly hit people I AM SITTING WITH up for drinks,
I had one little girl bend over me and ask my friend if she could get a beer. What she said was.. " I am so much more fun after X amount of drinks."

Chicks that slap their own behind. I just don't understand that and doesn't it hurt?

Chicks that interrupt me to ask me to borrow/bum/use whatever while I am talking to guys about getting dances.

Chicks that yell at the DJ while on stage.

Chicks that stomp their already tacky platforms on the stage after not getting tipped.

Chicks that discuss other co-workers personal business to customers while they are on stage. If you want to discuss me, at least do it where I can't see or hear you.

Chicks that walk around with a cigarette hanging out of their mouth.

Chicks that have their unpainted, nasty toes hanging off the end of their platforms.

Guys..

Tacky is, licking a dollar bill and sticking it on your forehead.

Tacky is.. Pointing at your buddy when I ask you for a dance.

Tacky is.. Putting your hands on me ANYWHERE, unless I give you permission to do so.

Tacky is.. asking me personal questions. IE, how much money I make, where I live, whom I am married to and so forth.

Lastly, the MOST tacky thing for guys in a Strip Club to do is to assume that I will do what Bertha one ton did for them.

To the strip club waitress.. get the guy his drink, take your tip and go away. I am trying to make money here.

Make up for mind if your a dancer or a waitress and stick with it. Don't be a tacky, I just walked out of the trailer waitress and do both.

ASK the man I am sitting with if he would like to get me a drink.. it's not my job to sell the bar stock. Don't be inept and TACKY.

I don't know about tacky, but my pet peeve is girls talking about me in French. I'm RIGHT there. I KNOW what you're saying, les filles. Arreter!

I also find it rude when they decide to air their greivances with me in the dance stall, while I'm dancing for someone. And then refuse to discuss whatever it was later.

It's tacky to trash other dancers while they're on stage...at one place these bitchy girls would actually go out and watch this other poor girl just to laugh at her! I'm thinking "you have nothing better to do, you cruel people? Don't complain to me about not making money".

And finally, it's tacky to use the bathroom stalls to do lines when there are only two toilets and I really have to pee. While I"m waiting for you, don't ASK ME TO PASS YOU A STRAW. Jeez.

tacky is walking around in your stripper shoes all night, then taking them OFF when you get on stage. if your set is themed and calls for this, ok...but not in general.

tacky: when your outfit has WAY too many pieces/accessories. (i.e. the layered look that just looks rediculous and thrown together)

tacky: GREASY hair. c'mon?! how hard is it to wash your hair...and if you didnt have time...throw in some baby powder!

tacky: when you dont really know how to /care to perform and all you do is that STUPID booty clapping move.

thats all i can think of for now

i sooooooooooooooooo completely agree...ESPECIALLY with the booty clapping thing...the last club i was at, youd think thats ALL the girls could do!!! SHEESHHHHHHHHH!!!

 :rotfl: OMG...i cant stop laughing...residual fart odor!!!!

Banging your heels loudly on stage. Usually done during a split. Find a different way to get guy's attention.

Ok this is tacky, or just gross and disgusting.

Theres a girl at a club, who's money maker is her ass. INsanely large bubble ghetto booty. It's impressive. I kinda like it.

So she gets a guy on stage to turn around and learn back, and she puts a dollar bill on his nose. Then she spreads her ass cheeks, sits on his face, and takes the dollar with her asscheeks.

This is nasty for several reasons:

1. Ass Sweat. All asses sweat. This girl got a big butt, and I'm sure there's a lot of friction. PLus she is dancing. Creating sweat. Ass sweat smells different than normal sweat. It comes form the ass. But it's not just the smell, it's also the moistness of ass sweat. I woudl not want someones nose in my ass. I woudl not want my nose in someones stinky, moist sweaty ass.
Which brings me to gross point
#2 Farts. All asses fart. It is a fact of life that at some point in the night, she farted. I'd imagine there is residual gas odor lingering between the cheeks. I woudl not want someones nose in my ass. Now we've got stinky ass sweat and residual fart odor. I would not want to be the person who's nose is burried in this ass.

And it's also the way it looks...to see her spread her cheeks, sit on someones face and then smoosh their face between her butt cheeks.
PLus..she's gota go digging for the dollars, that are wedged pretty far up the crack.

I just.....everytime she's on stage, I stop whatever I'm doing to watch. I am amused and horrified all at the same time.

Sierra30

slapping your own ass is ok ONCE in a while...Ive done it with guys who i KNOW like that sorta thing...BUT, there is another kind of slapping that REALLLLLLLLLLLLY bugs me...slapping your inner thighs....OVER AND OVER AGAIN.....REALLLLLLLLY HARD!!!!

There was this one REALLY REALLY new heavy girl who would do that shoe slap thing and THEN slap her inner thighs OVER AND OVER AND OVER again..i actually pulled her aside one night and said "um, you REALLY wanna stop doing that thigh slapping thing...guys dont like it." I knew they didnt because i was watching her dance one night and she did it and the guy ACTUALLY FREAKIN WINCED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG i couldnt stand watching her dance cause this would be the break down of her "dancing" in front of a guy on stage....Lap down on her back, legs up in the air, clap her shoes together, open her legs, slap her thighs, close legs, slap shoes, open legs slap thighs...REALLY REALLY fucking hard..,OUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tacky is:

~Entertainers who don't dress appropriately for their age, weight, or body shape (i.e. a forty-something year old dancer wearing a school-girl uniform, a chunky dancer wearing a thong that cuts into her sides, etc.).

~Chewing gum or lip-synching on stage.

~Newbies attempting pole tricks before they are even able to walk in their heels correctly.

I'm sure I have more... But that's it for now.

8. pretending like you're jacking off the pole

Okay I'm guilty of this, but it has always been while cleaning the pole.

RoseWhite
09-03-2007, 08:30 PM
^^ Well, if you have to wipe it down, the only way to pull it off (uhh, no pun intended) is with a little sass, so I think that definitely counts as an exception. Especially if it's sort of jokey, tongue-in-cheek in the delivery of said sass.

Djoser

It's true--if a dancer does a lot of tricks, and has to clean the pole at the start of her set to avoid busting her head open, she might as well do it with a little style. I've seen this handled very well by some.

I find this thread a little unnerving. I understand that we all have our own sets of pet peeves. Heck, anyone in any job could get frustrated by a co-workers behavior. I just think it's tacky to judge people. Some of the comments are needlessly mean.

Who cares what other girls are doing as long as it doesn't affect you? You just can't control other people. If a girl is frowning and bitching.... it's okay, more money for you. If a girl is wearing a neon glowstick outfit with a pair of beige grannie panties....it's okay, more money for you. If a girl has scraggly undone toenails....it's okay, more money for you (unless there is a guy in the club with an un-done nail fetish). Holding others to your standard is unwise.

Honestly a lot of these things never occurred to me. I know that some craaaazy stuff works well for people. Heck! I've seen a chick show up in a Little Bo Peep costume in May. It obviously worked for her because she wore it the next day. What ever floats your boat, yah know?

The only thing that worries me now is the idea that my co-workers are probably all thinking nasty gossipy bitchy things about me and one another all night. It's a sad thought and I hope that this thread is not a reflection of reality.

Oh and someone wanted to know what tacky was.....http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/tacky

If something works, it works.. the point of this thread is that when one drunk, badly dressed, cigarette hanging out her mouth, screaming at the DJ stripper behaves badly. It reflects on ALL of us. Or all of the people working at where you work.

There are enough stereotypical thoughts about strippers and how they ( me )
behave. Thats reality and the way human nature works.

I've seen 2 girls do this just this week...

Its TACKY to put on an old Hanes wife-beater and wear it as your costume. Please buy a real outfit.

LOL!! I knew this girl that cut the wifebeater in half and wore the bottom as a skirt. She then proceeded to walk around all night (since she only had one outfit) and boasted to everyone how she made the outfit herself. She was later fired for selling coke--or rather, baking soda instead of coke.

Pet Peeves -

Dancers-
1. Girls that are just RAUNCHY on stage, ie. grinding pussy in a guy's face, wrapping legs around a guy's face, fingering, nipple licking, etc.
2. Girls who think it's okay to act like they were born in a barn (I'm in West Virginia, very prevalent here)
3. Girls who complain that they can't make money because all of the dancers do extras--No, you're lazy and don't talk to people, THAT is why you don't make money.
4. Banging your heels on the stage
5. Sitting at the stage hustling customers--HATE this.
6. Nude pole tricks - you'd think this would go without saying, but it's happened enough times that I don't even want to touch the pole anymore.

Customers-
1. Telling me I'm too pretty and/or smart to degrade myself by dancing. (Really? I should have a "respectable" job at McDonald's like you? No thanks.)
2. Customers that seem very respectful on the floor that try to grope the hell out of you in CR. Or trying to grab my hips and dry hump me while I'm trying to dance. I am NOT an amusement park ride!
3. Leading me on. If you don't want a dance, just say so. I won't go cry about it. However, I will be a little annoyed at wasting my time by coming back 2 or 3 times when I could be making money elsewhere.
4. Offering to buy drink after drink, but declining dances--if I wanted free alcohol, I'd go to a regular bar.

- being rude to custies just coz they said no to a dance (hence possibly spoiling any other dancers chances of selling him)

- whinging constantly to management, other staff and dancers about anything and everything

- taking off shoes during private dances

- dancing on the pole or stage without pointed toes >:(

- discussing your own sex life with custies

- being all over custies in order to sell a dance (ah u can get paid for this shit why give it away for free)

- chewing gum on the floor

- when your only move during private dances is how wide you can open your hole

- picking teeth

- being so visibly drunk that you are stumbling around in your heels and slurring your words

Custies:

- being cheap is tacky, no need to elaborate

- giving shit excuses for not wanting dances. just say no.

- stinking

- trying to touch or do anything you are not supposed to

- sitting at tip rail and then starting to text message on your phone

- coming to the strip club with barely enough money to buy drinks let alone dances

I tend to think that this sort of behavior would make the other dancers look more appealing (if that's not what a guy is into).

No ones behavior reflects on me. I'm not part of some stripper package, a T&A carton of eggs! I am my own person and when I go into work I focus on myself and the task at hand. Maybe some custies like the raucous "badly" dressed girls. Life would be very boring if we all adhered to some sort of arbitrary standard. Variety is exciting and even though it may not float your boat it certainly narrows the field for your style of dancing and your style of earning.

[This isn't directed at Crow or anyone] But please think about it:

Belittling others to make yourself feel better is tacky. I would even define that sort of behavior as a character flaw. It's not so easily changed like a "bad" outfit or a chipped pedicure. There is no reason to put down others in order to make yourself feel like you're getting ahead. In essence you are saying "My life sucks but at least I'm not like A, B, or C.... gosh they're sooo much worse."

Energy wasted!

We work together and we shouldn't tear each other up to get an ego boost. You want to choose sides? Go for the guys and "attack" them. Feel satisfaction when you help a chick make money, feel satisfaction when you come home with over a grand. Develop a sense of camaraderie and build your own self esteem.
There is a lot of ugliness in the world and I for one, won't add to it.

How is this thread any worse than the stripper hall of shame thread or the stripper outfit hall of shame thread?
I dont think anyone is belitting anyone. I would never say this stuff at work but I dont see the harm in saying it on SW.

You see, I do care. I care so much that I went out on a limb and asked the people who jumped on this thread to focus inwards on themselves rather than throwing out all sorts of bad vibes about others.

Britt hit the nail right on the head. "Tacky" is so subjective! It's an issue of specific pet peeves. It also has to do with what sort of club you dance at what city you live in, what astrological sign you are, what etiquette training you've had, etc. Heheheh.

In truth this thread is just a place to vent and let out frustrations. I welcome more people to post what pisses them off so that they can get over it and move on with their lives.

Direct opposite here, wearing your shoes in the dance room while doing a dance will get you in trouble here. The owner just renovated the room a little while back, and it is expensive to fix, if we tear it up.

Again, direct opposite, you MUST wear shoes at all times on our stage while doing a stage set. That will get you pulled off the stage and bitched at, in fact I saw them fire a chick a while back for dancing in flip flops on a weekend night!

There is a lot of ugliness in the world and I for one, won't add to it.

The difference is, we're not at work. We're on a message board. I think it's funny and maybe educational to have a retrospective list of some "tacky" things we've seen at work. I would rather let it out here than at work.

For the most part, I think most of the SW girls that post here are representative of what little professionalism is left in the industry. We're conscientious of maintaining high standards, and thus this thread exists. As for an ego boost, what's wrong with that? I, for one, am glad that I'm not like some other girls. I'm not going to cut someone down and make fun of them, and I don't think we are doing that here. We're drawing a line. By attempting to define "tacky" (which I believe we're all finding difficult and subjective) we're defining standards. We're not doing it on work time, and we're not attacking anyone specifically.

It's tacky to cut others down at work and focus on their weaknesses. It wastes time and cuts into your money. Wait until you go home and do it on SW if you must.

Are we all happy now?

in my opinion, tacky is wearing white little girl socks (the kind with the lace trim) with stripper shoes.

I have these and they kinda actually go with my little blue and white gingham outfit....so I guess I'm tacky. I also have tip jar shoes, and occasionally smack my ass...so I guess I'm REALLY tacky.

Boy this thread made me feel great about myself lol.

:P

And I wear pink neon. A lot more than I should.

I have a whole pink and green neon outfit. Top, thong, garter belt, fishnets...and its my best money maker.

Maybe men just like us tacky bitches? ;D
