**OK, I'M NOT GONNA START A WHOLE NEW THREAD, SO I'M JUST ADDING TO THIS ONE**

Fuck. Mother fucking fuck. My caseworker (who has been doing this job all of 5 weeks) just called me to tell me my Tenncare is cut off because somebody didn't fill out a form to renew it. When I met this chick 5 weeks ago I took my SO with me so he could explain the problems we had to hopefully avoid a repeat of Aug./Sept. So what happens? The same damn thing that left me with no meds and no doctors week after week.

I swear, if I have to do this all over again I'm going to freak out on somebody. I was sick for weeks even after I got my meds back, and I'd really like to keep my interactions with my 'imaginary friends' to a minimum.

The excuse my caseworker currently has is that the guy that handles paperwork took a vacation for the holidays. That's cool, but if you're going to take a vacation, could you please leave somebody else in charge? It's kinda important, ya know?

Jesus fucking christ. Do these people not understand what happens to people like you if they dont take their meds? That you could become a threat to yourself or others?? Do they have ANY idea how much trouble this could cause???

How about a lawyer? I'd sue their asses...once is bad enough....fucking with a schizophrenics meds TWICE with lame excuses that basically add up to "we didnt feel like doing our job" is inexcusable.

Get an attorney, call the state...call EVERYONE until these people are MADE to do their fucking jobs.

And call me if you need to....I'm here for you honey.

What i am not understanding is you are on meds. to help you function. I'm not sure what all you are on, but if you are on a medication of any sort that will leave you the DT's, a doctor can not deny you medication even if insurance did. They either ask you if you need assistance to help you keep yourself safe, i.e. inpatient, or you have to be able to get your medication through any of the staffed doctors who take care of you.

If the insurance company dropped you, or a worker for the insurance company messed up papers....you can't stop your meds. Period. A doctor HAS to BY LAW make sure you don't get the DT's. You are under someones care and they HAVE to take care of you. It's not like you are on a heart med. and so what. These are drugs that help you function, besides that....you can't just be dropped by doctors who cared for you IF you will go through DT's. Fucking Period.

GL, sorry to hear about , what seems to be , your never ending issues with TennCare, hopefully they can work this out a lot quicker then last time...

stella: as soon as you become a resident in MA you can apply for Medicaid, and pretty much recieve a coverage right away...(I work as a contractof for MA Medicaid)

Thanks ya'll. I've pretty much decided I'm going to go straight to the state again if my caseworker/public health clinic wants to sit on their asses again. I've been hoarding any extra pills I have received (samples, etc.) so I think I have a stockpile that will last 8-9 days if it comes down to that. My SO is going to help me more this time. Last time I was hard-headed about letting him 'take care of me', hopefully that will help the situation a little.
