You might want to go to makeupalley.com. It helps to have product reviews all in one place.

Hi
I have had no luck with the MAC paint eyeshadows in the tube-they go on okay but tend to dry kind of flaky...they were recommended to me by the MAC salesgirl as a eyeshadow primer too but maybe I should try another brand.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

^ I'm not a big fan of the paints but I LOVE MAC's paintpots. I use them alone for normal wear but if I'm going to work I put them over UDPP to help them go that extra mile all night.

- Maybelline XXL volume + length microfiber waterproof mascara (made my lashes fall out!)
- Revlon beyond natural cream lip gloss (doesn't coat evenly, too sticky)

I love this! Mainly because I hate getting something home, thinking it will help, and hating it, but also because I love to bitch. ;D
1. Bare Escentuals did nothing for me either. I have mostly clear skin, but when nI woe this, it made my skin look worse, but like I was trying to hide it. I dunno how to explain it: My pores looked bigger, my little breakouts looked worse, everything looked cakey, no matter how light of a hand I used.
2. Diorshow is way overrated, imo. I bought both the regular and the blackout. For one, I'm not a fan of the smell at all. I know that's not a reason to dislike it, but I don't like something so fragranced going around my eyes. Also, I feel like it works okay for about two weeks, but then it starts to dry out. I don't see the point of buying a 25$ mascara every other week.
3. Clinique body wash! I don't even know if they still sell it, but they used to sell a three step body system (scrub, wash, lotion). The wash and scrub left so much residue, the water from my shower would bead on my skin. It was so gross.
4. L'Oreal makeup primer. If my skin looks good enough to wear this on its own, then it's fine. But if I layer it under my foundation, it always leaves me looking like I'm wearing a mask. I also think it's kinda comedogenic. Smashbox photo finish light or Laura Mercier is much better.
5. John Frieda glazes. I like the brunette one (I've gotten compliments on how my hair looks after using it), but I don't like it enough to use it. It stains EVERYTHING. I had to use a pumice stone to get the stuff off of my hands!
6. Clearasil Ultra rapid action pads are something you have to be careful with. I had a stubborn patch of deep pimples on my chin once, and I bought these pads out of desperation. They brought everything to the surface in 3 days, and they really sped up the red-spot healing time. However, they are too strong for me to use on my whole face, and I have to wear a glove, or the pads of my fingers start to peel. Really nasty looking.
7. This isn't a product, but I hate Ulta with a passion. I went there a few times because they have such a great selection and great deals, but their sales ladies are incompetent. One day I bought a L'Oreal mineral foundation, and someone had bought it and returned it, and the sales ladies taped the plastic back to the case, and the brush was obviously used more than once. :banghead:

Agreed I HATE Ulta...
The Bare Escentuals foundation powder actually works well for me. I have freckles and foundation can be very tough to match.
However, the Bare Escentuals moisturizers are total crap. Don't waste your time.

I love bare escentuals. Love it, love it love it.
However, I hate bumble&bumble's styling cream. It's complete trash. It totally dried it my hair, and dries stiff. Total waste of money.

I third Diorshow mascara. Worst $30 I ever spent on a makeup product. I also am not a big fan of Clinique eyeshadows, while some of the colors are cute (strawberry, sugar sugar) they are not very pigmented and have no staying power, even when layered over primer.

Anything to do with base by Rimmel, Im guessing you guys woudnt stoop that cheap as to buy Rimmel but I thought Id better warn anyway.
Thier foundations have about as much coverage as skimmed milk!
awww! I do. I love their primer :-[ The apricot tint goes well with my skin so I don't even use foundation over it most times.

I heard most waterproof mascaras destroy lashes when used over time.
This Milani eyeshadow from CVS was a complete waste which was a pain. Not pigmented enough though it looks soooo pretty in the container :( I returned it.
