I saw that video of the "broken heel" and it didn't look broken to me. How many excuses are they going to come up with for this lack of a performance?

well considering she has never been seen not performing to the fullest as far as dancing goes anyway, I'd say it's more likely that the heel was broken.

Call it an excuse if you want but having to at the very last minute remove the show stopper parts of her number ( the Cris Angel Magic) would put a damper on things for anyone. Then add in that cunt Silverman not honoring the no jokes at her kids expense and Brit not being at the top of her game as it was- well I just don't see how any performer wouldn't have a bad run on stage.

I mean yeah it sucked and all but was it 100% her fault, no it wasn't. Did we all expect more from her? Yes, for sure!

Not to mention she showed up late to her rehearsal with a frozen margarita in hand and stayed out till 6am Saturday night.

I'm looking for that vid of the supposed broken heel right now. Why wasn't her dancing up to the Britney performance we expect to see? She's been sitting on her ass for several months! More importantly, I think she really does not give a fuck.

I do think MTV exploited her for ratings, but she let herself be exploited. Why would anyone try to do a comeback when they have so many personal problems going on? One thing at a time!

I agree. Its Sarah Silvermans fault..no its the heel...no, MTV wouldnt let her do what she wanted, no she got in a fight with her hairstylist.....bleh..

They are also saying she took a bunch of anti-depressants before she went on too.

I think the problem was more that she spent evey night out partying instead of rehearsing and resting for her first stage performance in years. But no..that cant be it...must be the shoe.

but then again your posts show that you hate the chic something fierce. I mean seriously now, I think it was you who wrote about wanting to see her vomit on her kids or something siimilar. I think out of everyone here you really were hoping she would bomb and I think your tickled pink that it happened. You're just one of those people who would have most certianly trashed her performance even if it had been awesome.

No..not even a little bit. Read before you type honey. I didnt say I wanted her to vomit on her kids...I said thats where she was heading and it was tongue in cheek.

I USED to like Brit. I've said it a million times ..she was hot and silly and fun. But shes turned into a train wreck and anyone who tried to make excuses for it is in denial. She's thrown away her career and possibly custody of her kids in favor of partying and getting fucked up. Like I said..she's going down the Courtney Love road.

DONT put words in my mouth. I certainly enjoy my celeb gossip...but I dont wish anything bad on anyone. If Brit had pulled it off and performed like she used to..I'd be the first applauding her for pulling it together. But she didnt. And its nobodys fault but her own.

It's true that kind of thing doesn't lend itself to a top notch performance. I'm just saying there were a number of things that appear to have not gone well that added up to a poor show. Some of those things weren't her fault or even within her control so let's not put all the blame 100% on her. Some of it, sure. All of it though is just not fair.

LatinaRose
09-13-2007, 12:00 PM
^^I'd say nearly all of those factors are her fault. The main one being, she should be focusing on her personal life rather than making a comeback. When MTV asked her to perform, she should have said NO.

britt244

who else is there to blame it on? /:O sure, mtv kinda set her up for failure, but she couldve been smart about it and said she wouldnt do it.

I'm not putting word in your mouth or at least I am not trying to anyway. I said you wrote that or something similar. It was pages back so I didn't remember the exact wording. I dunno, you in particular just come across to me as a hardcore hater. Maybe I'm wrong though. it's just an impression.

I probably come across as a hardcore fan, LOL. which i'm not really, it's just something about the really cruel nature of the attacks on Brit in the past year or so just don't sit right with me and in a major way, like on a compassionate human level, if that makes sense :-\

Oh come off it already! I'm tired of this kind of posting from you, and it's frequent! Obviously you have no idea where Cameron is coming from. Well I do, and I know it's not malicious.

So stop antagonizing her already>:(

Guess you missed my last reply to her where I said it was the impression I was getting about her but that maybe I was wrong.

Besides that this is like the 3rd time you've gone off on me when I wasn't even posting to or about you. I've pretty much let it go because you've been posting about having a bad time of things in your life. I figured you were just unhappy and taking it out on strangers, but honestly it's getting a bit old. So please take your own advice. K? thanks!

I don't care if you finally figured it out that you may have been wrong. You could have gone about your concern in a more polite way then putting words in her mouth. If you didn't understand, you should have ASKED her before you went off instead of just assuming.Think before you type, not after.

Hadn't seen this posted yet. Boyfriend says "Wow, that guy should do her damage control." lol Who knows, but I've broken a few shoes on stage before and kept going which led to a lackluster performance.

So um I just noticed some drama. Not trying to stir the pot with this.

**This is not directed at you Isobella, just so you know**

I have done 20 minute stage shows with a broken boot. Yeah, my ankle curved a bit, but I didn't look like a drunk/stoned person stumbling around the stage. Not saying it to be a 'hater', I'm just saying it is possible to do a decent show with a broken shoe.

Can people not just say admit to themselves that she is a train wreck at the moment, and going on TV was a bad idea if she wanted to go out and party in the days leading up to her 'comeback'? Seriously, she had to know MTV was using her for ratings, and she gave them what they wanted-A performance that people are still talking about 4 days later.

One word: Shitney. I watched it again on MTV.com and it was still bad. It was just so not her in the way she did the VMA's two other past times.

I agree. Although this obviously isn't close to the same magnitude, I've broken 3 pairs of shoes while dancing on stage and kept going. It looked worse, but not nearly as bad as Britney's.

To me, that little stumble he keeps showing looks how I look stumbling when I'm drunk. Just... wobbly.

What the hell was she doing up there? Putting her hand up in front of her mouth/face, trotting around the stage like a new dancer in her first pair of stillettos. She looks like such a newbie.

She looked like she was in pain. Oh, and her song sucks. Booooorrring!

^^ Damn straight. If you are going to make a comeback, you'd better be able to wow the crowds...in a positive way.

And I read what Sarah Silverman said. I really don't agree with slamming Britney's kids. That's f-ed up.

Thats what I was thinking. If that were me and she talked about mine, I'd have came back from the stage and pulled her hair out. And I LIKE Sarah Silverman. But calling them the "cutest little mistakes?" Thats just cruel.

I always find it pleasantly amusing when someone posts a thread about britney, or Paris or Lindsay or something and some person comes in and says something and it gets disagreed with so then they are like ya'll are so stupid wasting time posting about celebrities, etc........but what did they think the thread was about when they opened it up, obviously interested? The dancing or rather lack of was so unlike anything I've ever seen from her before soI was stunned when I first saw her but it made sense after I found out that her heel of one of the boots broke. http://www.nbc5i.com/slideshow/entertainment/14093367/detail.html

But even considering that I was not pleased with the show. She looked scared to death, ofcourse who wouldn't be with all the massive (and imo undeserved hating) she has been dealing with in the past year or two.

Then there was the missing magic stuff that she was not allowed to use in the number because MTV couldn't get the insurance needed for the stunts. I was really excited to see what Cris Angel came up with for her. She had to change the act VERY last minute which pissed off both her and Cris Angel.

I also underatnd Sarah Sivermen did not honor the agreement she had MTV which was said that Sarah would not make jokes about Brit's kids. Silverman did it anyway and even though Britney said she would not perform in the event that Silverman used her children as jokes, she went on stage anyway in an effort to be the pro performer she usually is on stage. Sadly between the forced change to not include the magic stuff, the cunt-ish behavior of Silverman and the broken heel, Brit fell apart and her show sucked.

here is a link that mentions all the above - http://www.beyonce-lopez.com/index.php?subaction=showfull&id=1189454639&archive=&start_from=&ucat=& There might be better link but it's the first one that came up on my quick search so if anyone has a better one please post it

oh and the nasty comments about her body are ABSURD. She looked just fine. Better than most of working strippers in this country so people who want to trash her after baby figure need to get a grip for sure.

well written and i TOTALLY AGREE. I want to see a come back with her, this is all making me really sad.

I dunno... some of those pics? I have soft, suede boots with heels. They CAN curve a bit like in some of those pics. I'm on the fence about the excuse.

But she's still making a lukewarm comeback.

If that was the case, then wow. You'd think with all that money she could afford boots that were sturdy enough for dancing. As soon as I saw them I thought "She will NOT be dancing like she once did".

Sadly..I think the kids would be better off not with her at the moment. She is not well and she isnt putting her kids first. You cant go out partying everywhere EVERY night in front of the cameras when you have two little ones at home. Have your fun now and then...but you need to be a parent FIRST.

I don't think either Britney or Kevin should get custody of those kids. Her mother Lynn needs to get them and raise them properly away from camera and all that craziness.

LatinaRose
09-17-2007, 05:09 PM
^^I don't think Lynne is actually the best choice. She raised Britney!! While nobody likes K-Fed, that doesn't make him a bad father. I think Shar Jackson has actually praised him for being a good father.

She's about to lose her kids to K-Fed. *shakes head* Doesn't he have 2 other kids?

I really don't see it happening. Everytime Social Services has investigated her they have cleared her each and every time. All the claims have turned out to be bs. Personally, I think it's been Kevin just trying to mess with her emotions and create bad press for her because he wants revenge for being dumped.

Besides Perez's source is Fox News and they are known for reporting bogus crap all the time. They didn't earn the nickname of the Fake News for nothing, lol!

One thing I so don't get is why some people think she should have her kids taken away because she goes out to nightclubs. Like other the Mom's in the world don't go out sometimes. I'm so sure none of Mom's here have every got drunk or done any parting since they gave birth. Never had a few too many at work either. Nooo that never, ever happens, right?

I mean we're all just perfect angels afterall who have never made a poor decision or mistake in our entire lives. None of us have dated or married the wrong guy. None of us ever stayed out a little later than we should either. We are dressed to the nines 24/7 and never, ever have a few extra pounds on us for any reason whatsoever. We are all just so fabulous and well Brit is just total worthless trash compared to every one of us, right? ::) Come on, get real !

Hell, alot of people in society think just our jobs alone should equal loss of custody!

Would some of the people here say that one of our own here on Stripperweb should lose there kids because they go out at night, have a few drinks or have rough time or depression from dealing with a divorce or the pressures of whatever jobs we may have at the time?

If not, then why should Britney? Because she is famous???

I actually said specifically that you can go out and have fun as a mom. But she's photographed out EVERY night drinking (at least). You cant go out and party EVERY night. Thats not being a good parent. Thats not putting your kids first. And when you KNOW you are being taken to court and your life is going to ddetermine whether you get to keep your kids...if THAT doesnt make you tone it down ...then maybe you arent fit to be a parent.
