ok i'm out, Just found out I'm pregnant so I don't think I should be trying to lose any weight. I do plan on still doing some light exercising. thanks everyone for the motivation to lose the 15 lbs. I'll keep checking in on everyone.

Congratulations!!!! :)

^yay!

I really miss being outdoors. My walks help keep me sane, and I haven't walked since Sat. I'm still lifting weights; I can tell I'm getting stronger.

I hear ya. I have cabin fever. But that is good that you've been able to do SOMETHING.

I miss my gym. I miss feeling good. And while I am happy to be 2 lbs lighter, I'd rather lose weight the healthy way, not from being sick.

But seeing that I weighed 124...with my clothes on...it was the silver lining! :)

Well I gained a couple pounds back but I've been a very good girl today so it should go away soon :)

A few more people noticed at work tonight that I'd been losing weight/working out. I haven't worked out in a week (due to being sick) but luckily my measurements are the same, and I"m still getting compliments. :) Very encouraging.

I've lost 6 lbs. so far. I weigh in at 124 and am at nearly 5'3". I think I'd like to go the extra mile and get back down to 115 (my prepregnancy weight). I was aiming for 120, but I think 115 is my new goal. I'd like to do this by Christmas. I can't get back to the gym until my kid goes back to school, so you'd better believe that after the w/end is over, this bitch is getting back in the saddle.

Well hey even if we don't make our goal at least we made progress. Better than not making any progress at all.

Yes, this is pretty challenging! I haven't been working out as much as i'd like, because I upped the hours working. But still need to keep up with it.

I'm making a pot of green tea in the AM, in the coffee maker...so then i'll make sure to drink it all during the day. Chock full o'antioxidants. Plus it boosts the metabolism.

I'm also vowing to get in a habit of prepping a large and small co ntainer full of chopped celery, tomatoes, carrots, and lettuce, and take it with me during the day so that I eat a lot of salad during the day. I think this is the only way I can keep my blood sugar stable and satiate myself. I've found this helps fend off fake hunger...maybe because it "alkalizes"your blood? Who knows but it works, and having it all prepared and ready and in my bag gives me no excuses and little room for laziness.

Katrine, you burst out crying! I had something like that happen a couple days ago...i thought I was going to have a mental breakdown at the gym. I got myself there, but I really wasn't in the mood for it. Plus I missed all the classes, so i'd have to stay on the boring machines. I felt like I was going insane, and tried to take a shower for a long time, but it still didn't make me better...so eventually I just left. Ooph just awful. What I really needed was a massage and a looong undisturbed nap.

Okay, I totally sucked these past two weeks. No classes, no stretching. Not totally bad food, but actually not enough food. I've been so busy and I was a little depressed with birthday and midterms and stuff. I was doing well, but I've fallen back to pudge, though I think I am a little smaller all over. Today I watched that pole dance video someone posted and inspired, did my stretches. I need to kick my own ass a bit-I've been trying to organize my time, fix my hustle and I'm at a sorta good place with the therapy. This is another part of me getting sane, so...

I am back on for November! I can't necessarily fit in all that exercise with school right now, but-three sessions of exercise a week(at least 1/2 hour), stretching 5 out of 7 days. Those are my Nov weekly goals. Same better food, fruit, veg, water as before. I want to get a foam roller for my tight muscles I kept finding.

So Oct-sorta crap, BUT I did save $50 towards my 'prize'. I'm undecided if I should buy something, or roll it over into Nov.

I stepped on the scale today against my better judgment. My goal was not to lose weight, it was to have a consistent weight lifting regimen. I have been doing a three day split since the end of September. My clothes fit really well. I think I look great. Then I step on the scale and I've gained weight. Well of course I have. I'm putting on muscle. I am just used to seeing a certain number, and now it going up, and will continue to go up.

I really should stay off the scale.

Ok, i joined this challenged and have not did much since. I actually gained a few pounds due to stress eating.
So my official start is today...I about to head to the gym, bought a new bottle of Tonalin.
I have not been following this thread but I hope everyone is doing well....I will post back results in a week and get some pics up.

I've lost 17 pounds, which only translates to 3/4" around my waist. All summer I was walking 3 miles twice a day and eating good food kind of strictly, and still gaining weight. Then I moved on and stopped excercising and was hardly working at all and eating a lot of sugar and I lost a bunch of weight.

K well October's over...

so through the challenge I've lost about two pounds and I can do the splits. Not quite what I wanted but hey, let's stay positive!

I just weighed myself today, and after a couple weeks of not losing anything or gaining a pound or two, I'm down to 143! Down 5 pounds from when I started this challenge, yay! I've been doing more weight lifting lately and trying not to eat too many carbs, and I think that's helped me. I've been doing upper body weights 3 times a week and lower body weights 3 times a week, alternating days. I got this Biggest Loser Fitness Plan book and have been doing the weightlifting routine in there-it really works. My body felt like jello the first couple days. LOL I also walk on my treadmill 4 or 5 days a week and eat mostly chicken, fish, low-carb tacos or breakfast burritos, almonds, ham, and veggies. But I do allow myself a small treat each day-usually either half a cup of ice cream, a couple miniature candy bars, or a small helping of chips and salsa. (A very small helping-chips and salsa seems to bloat me like nothing else!)

Sunshine73
11-06-2007, 12:34 AM
Since the challenge started I have lost 6 lbs. I may have lost more since I was sick 2 weeks ago, but I haven't weighed myself lately.

I have been sticking with healthy eating and exercise. Haven't really lost any more inches but custies are saying I look more tight and toned.

I'd like to get back down to 115. 120 I'd be happy with (That is only 4 more lbs-yay!) but I'm trying to get ready for a film role and I gotta look hot. And tiny (camera adds 10 lbs.)

I'll post stats on Wed. Cheers!

Mily
11-06-2007, 12:45 AM
^Does it add 10 lbs. for regular camera shots, too? I always thought that was a myth. :-\

Sunshine73

I think any kind of camera adds 10 lbs.

At any rate, I just don't want to cringe while watching this movie because I feel I look too chubby!!

I am in on this food challenge. I finally went food shopping....i find that i eat crappy when i do not...because my choices are slim.
I had one of my nephew's poptart....which i do not like to do....but i will work this off.

I was so hungy after work and had a little bit of grilled chicken, tiny bowl of tomatoe soup, and some baked tostitos with salsa....not the BEST at 3 am...but way better than mcdonalds(as i was doing the week prior when i had no food in my house.)

I am starting a good workout routine too...it's not set....i do during the day what i feel like....today i am thinking a pilates class at the gym may be fun.

I havent' posted in two weeks, but I haven't bailed. In the last two weeks, I have cheated an average of one a week, like I always do. Last Sunday, it was four fried won-tons, a piece of cheese cake and a couple of drinks.

I have been making it to the gym an average of five days a week. I changed up my workout a little because this trainer was telling me that I didn't really need as much cardio as I was doing. He is wrong, I do. I feel like I may have put on some fat, but i still get compliments of my abs at work. Could be PMS...but I don't think so.

Again, with the fires and now the WGA strike (writer's strike in LA) I have had a lot on my plate and took today to focus on my replies to various posts on the web.

Pictures soon, promise.

Oh S(**t! This is the end of the challange isn't it?

Well, I wanted to gain on my booty and I have put on a quarter inch. I was actually down a 1/2 inch on my waist, to 22 and 1/4 inches, but unfortunately, my fibroids (Cameron knows about these) have grown. I have one on top of my unterus and a cyst on my overie. (sp?). It adds 'girth' and there isn't anything I can do about it. So I am back to where I started with my waist.

ooooooh, you nair down there? I'm too scared to try. my freshman year at U of H this horrible cunt down the hall in the dorms did that and it turned her vagina into a pizza. like it was MANGLED. boils and shit everywhere. I know she's a dumbass so she did it wrong (probably used the wrong kind AND left it on too long,) but it's scared me ever since.

yeah in the diet im following now it says to drink 2 tablespoons before each meal. and YEEEEYUUUCK!! it's sooo gross, but im getting used to it. it's supposed to cut out fat. whatever is supposed to cut out fat ill try...lol

Well apple cider vinegar is reaaally sour...sometimes I guess to quell some fake hunger, you got to give some pow spice and extreme flavors to your tummy...it sorta makes you feel like you ate something, and gives your tummy something to munchie on...though low-calorie.

the vinegar isn't really yummy...that's not the point. I take like 1 tablesppon in a cup of water...and try to down it really fast...in a few gulps...yes....brrrr yeeks...but it has helped me when it's late at night, but I feel angsty, but not truly hungry...or am trying to follow my no-eating-for-3-horus-before-bedtime...it destroys my fake hunger.

The hot pepper sauce, too...red sauce...it's sorta good, and sorta really strong, but I have like 1 teaspoon of it, little nips at a time with as much water as I need. Also, maybe having fresh lemon squeezed in water helps too. I also drink lots of green tea before bed...having something to sip on that's other than water keeps my tummy happy. Also, maybe try seltzer water.

I read that apple cider vinegar helps with fat loss...i'm not sure how, but taht's what I read. Maybe try finding some articles online about it.

Also, sometimes if I feel like having something but I can't, I have some fresh lettuce and apple cider vinegar..yes not the most appetizing thing, but it is something in my stomach...and I guess maybe it helps boost the metbolism becasue your body has something to work on digesting, so that's good. Or, even better, steam up some broccoli or zuchinni, have some salt, margarine and or vinegar on it...it's pretty good, you might be surprised that you end up cravign this stuff after a while... Plus it's really nutritious, and helps your body "alkalize" more...not sure what the science behind that is, but there are "acidic" and "alkaline" foods...and usually your body needs some alkaline foods like from veggies, green tea... I don' thave taht much info about this, but eh it's an interesting concept

OK I think it is time to reasses my goals...

When I first started this challenge, I was at...

130 lbs.
35-29-35

Now I am at
124
35(woo hoo!)-27-33

I've lost about 6 lbs, toned up more considerably and clothes that didn't fit me before fit me now. Yay!

I'm going to try and get down to 120 by the time November is over, and I would like to lose 5 more lbs over December. So I'd like to be back to my prepregnancy weight of 115. And with my workouts, healthy eating, and smoke/drug/booze-free lifestyle, I will be in tip-top shape.

OK so here we go. ..115 by January first.

I don't know my progress because I can't seem to track my eating consistently. But my trainer has been kicking my ass with new and challenging workouts. And I've been doing everything, I am proud of myself. My butt is so round and my ab muscles are beginning to re-sprout.....but its all still under a thin layer of chub that I really need controlled calories and cardio to eliminate.
