I'm so in. I've lost forty lbs but I've been lazy lately.

I am *gulp* 5'5" and just under 150 lbs :(

I'll think of a plan and stuff as October looms closer.

I'm likely getting a job as a farmhand soon though, so that'll help :D Less time to eat and I'll be shoveling lots of poop and throwing around hay haha.

I don't want to lose more weight (I'm 5'4 and weigh 115) but I do want to tone up because my body still feels flabby. And I have a goal of getting off of sugar, cutting out wheat and processed foods...and possibly becoming a vegetarian. Any vegetarians out there? I have a hard time with veggie diet though because I'm sensitive to soy and wheat.

I want in. I don't dance yet, but I am working on losing weight so I can start dancing. I have already lost 14 lbs from just changing my eating habits but I plan on starting to work out next week. I don't know if I will post a pic but here are my stats.
I'm 5'4" and 144 lbs. I would love to get back to 120ish.

Awsome thread! I am always up for a team workout! I just bought a treadmill and will pick it up tomorrow! Now I have no excuse to slack off on my cardio! I'll try and get some pics up soon.

stats: 5'4, 120lbs.
goal: 110-115 lbs

I just want to be toned and hard again....like I was when I did my Figure Competition.

I'm in! I'm 5-6 and roughly 115.. but I'm not toned anywhere except my legs. I want my love handles gone and to tone up! I'm not going to set a weight number goal because I don't care about numbers, I just want to look hot! I'm getting a BA in November and I want to look good :)

I'll post pics soon. Keep up the great work to everybody who has already satrted!

i'm in, this sounds like fun. when are we starting--october 1st?

my current stats are:

Height: 5'6"
Weight: 115 (i think)
Goal Weight: 107-110 (i'd like to lose, but i'll probably gain muscle weight)
Goal: six pack, tighter glutes, stronger upper body, toned thighs
Goal Date: December 15th

My plan:
-i'm working with a trainer 2x per week (weight training)
-i'm taking a two hour yoga/pilates class once a week
-cardio 5x per week my trainer has me jogging on a steep incline (level 20) for 30 minutes.

Food: my trainer has me eating five small meals per day to keep my metabolism up.

I am SO VERY IN. I fell out of regular gym-going since I started my morning class and day job and looking for a night job stripping. I want to lose another couple of inches by October 31 and be totally toned and amazing by December 20.

Today: 38-29-37
October 31 Goal: 36-27-35
December 20 Goal: 36-24-32

Currently I weigh about 135; I would like to lose 10-15 pounds, but I'm not going to obsess over that so much since I do want to build muscle. My reward if I meet the December 20 goal is arm lipo, since I'll need it to go with my toned, sexy bod! (My body won't burn that fat, so it'll have to be lipo'ed.)

YES!!! I am really looking forward to this group approach to losing weight and getting fit.

My stats are: height 5 ft 6
weight 142

I am extremely muscular, as i run, dance full time, and am a part time Licensed massage therapist. However, i am not comfortable with my weight continuing to creep up. last year I was a steady 135. The year before around 125 (where i am happiest at). I find muscular woman attractive, but I get comments about it all the time. i am ready to slim down and lengthen my muscles as opposed to continuing to add bulk.

My plan is to incorporate more cardio into my life, purchase an X Pole for my home use, and start Turbo jam (a calorie blasting workout DVD made up of dance moves and kickboxing). Turbo jam boasts that it burns up to 1000 calories an hour, which is far superior to any other exercise i have been doing.

I am also going to improve my diet and eat more fruits and veggies, ease up on the carbs, and just learn to pack more food in my calories. I LOVE to eat, so this will be a real challenge. Feeling satisfied and full is very important to me. I think that I will subscribe to Cooking Light magazine.

Yea!!! I can't wait to amp up my routine and start seeing results!

Here's my stats:

Current: 5'4" 134lbs

Goal: 120, more toned inner thighs and midsection

Today, I'm about to hop on the treadmill for a 2 mile fast-walk, maybe see what abs workouts they have on OnDemand. If My OD is broke still, I'll do 40-50 crunches and 40-50 reverse crunches and about 20 reverse leg lifts (is that what they're called, when you lift the bottom leg up?)

Let's see, last time my trainer took my measurements:
Weight 122-123
Height" 5'3.5 ish
Body Fat % as calipered: around 28%, yikes! BTW, I think she might have overdone it to scare me into buying more training classes!
BMI: 21.6 (whatever, means nothing)

My goals:
Weight: 114
Body Fat %: 22%
Lost 1lb//5% body fat per week

Trainer wants to re-do my measurements and caliper me again because that was a while back.

Here is my plan: Weight training sessions of 50 minutes 2x per week. She does intense stuff that gets me a total body workout, keeps my heart rate up, and utilizes heavy weight/resistance.

1-2 cardio/yoga/hiking...whatever I want on my own.

Diet: 1390 calories/day. 4 meals/day. 60% carbs, 20% protein, 20% fat. Yes Virginia, carbs aren't bad for you!

That's my plan!

I want in too! I'm not very gym-knowledged, and scales make me nervous, but I want to get stronger and more flexible. I want to go to at least two classes a week-one Pilates and one other (we can go to a number of classes at our gym). I start Pilates tomorrow. And I want to get more veggies in my meals and drink more water!

So: 4'10" 100 and something

My plan: Two classes a week, Pilates video once a week, more than one serving of veggies a day, 64 oz of water a day.

Goal: Splits at least one way, legs that can kill people, actual arm muscles, less poochy belly.

Attached a pic.

I took some pics tonight, but I'm not going to post em till I can post them next to some progress pictures.

I plan to do a pilates dvd 3-5 times a week while my bf is at work. My questions is, if I do the dvd 3-5x a week, how long should I be doing it each time? Like, should I be looking for one that is a 1/2 hour, 45 minutes, etc?

Oh I love those chinese donuts.I'll try and post a pic on Monday along with my weigh-in.

With the pilates I think its a matter of choice.Maybe you should start with 30 minutes if you haven't done anything like it before.

Ooh this is a great idea!

Starting stats: 5'2" 130 lbs. I don't know my measurements but I will post when I get them. I'm guessing 37-29-39?

Goal: Approximately 115 lbs, although I'm not dead set on a number amount for my weight, I just want to lose body fat.

What did you do today for workout: 40 minutes of speed interval on the pseudo-stairs (the mini stair stepper thing) and a full body weightlifting routine

i'm in, my ticker hasn't moved in months.
height 5 ft 10
CW 182 lbs
GW by end of october (my birthday!) 174lbs
my motivation: to lose weight for my birthday, and to audition for the hardest to get into club in town!
plan: i will be getting a pole hopefully next week so will do an hour of practising a day (i find it fun so time flies by). I also have a personal rowing machine thingy which isn't really a machine at all which i will pick up and play with as often as i can at home.
will post pics when i can find my bloody camera!

Ok, I did weights yesterday and treadmill ran 3miles on a 3.5 incline. I ate about 1500 calories...I'll try to step it up a bit today. I have to get more fit before I can run farther though. And my arms and abs are so pleasantly stiff right now. Hooray.

I don't have a scale at home, and I only weigh myself at the gym periodically. That is better for my mental health. However, I am tracking, and my trainer does want to re-measure me.

OK, this is one of the reasons I can't stand Canada (no offense Canadian girlies):

I go to the video store across the street to rent a pilates dvd. They don't even have a fitness section, they have a miscellaneous section. No pilates dvds, they had a few old ass Kathy Smith dvds. :( This is fucking ridiculous. I live right downtown in a nice trendy area. Not in the fucking boonies. I did manage to get Jay Z's Fade to Black dvd, which was sandwiched in between Kathy Smith and Become a Pro Poker Player :-\ It was the only music dvd they had :-X

So I'll go to Best Buy or something tonight and buy a pilates dvd, so my I'll be starting tomorrow >:(

I also decided every day I don't do pilates, I'll take my dog for a decent walk.

I'm in too!

I don't care about the weight difference...my weight will always fluctuate, especially if I put on more muscle by doing some hard ab work, or more lunges, etc.
I want to loose FAT. Water weight...eh if I drink a few cups of water, I will gain 1 or two pounds...so the number on the scale is a bit pointless I think. I used to be a scale slave. Now I have come to learn that it's sooo silly! It doesn't mean much, it really doesn't...though there are plenty of things we hear every day on television, like "join Jenny Craig to loose weight" that keeps perpetuating the idea that we should care about the number on the scale. We should rather care about how many inches of fat we can squeeze from our tummies, or right above the elbow on the upper arm... That says waaay more!

My Goal: Get rid of the teeny teeny bit of pooch on my stomach I have left. I've gotten rid of most of it through sensible but yummy eating, calorie counting (2000 calories/day is my limit), and exercising an hour of cardio...then some ab work, pilates and yoga once in a while. And jogging. I've seen a huge difference! Starvation diets don't work. You gotta pump up your metabolism by eating enough and healthily and also exercising.

[

Cardio
30 mins
2 miles
188 cals
(landed up using my treadmill, 'cos there were construction workers everywhere this morning en route to the bank, and I was like "uh yeah no thanks")

Strength (all upper body)
Push ups 12, 6, 8, 10, 12 (sucked at these around 8 )
Dumbell fly 12
Shoulder dumbell fly 12, 6, 8, 10, 12 (sucked at these on 12, 10, and 12)
Rear deltiods 12 (fun but not sure if I'm doing 'em right. i don't wanna fuck up my back)
Back crunches 12, 6, 8, 10, 12 didn't really feel 'em)
One arm row 12 each side (hurt my arms more than my back)
Tricep Dips 12, 6, 8, 10, 24 (5-10 sec. breaks b/w reps; 24 hurt)
Dumbell curl 12, 6, 8, 10, 24(5-10 sec breaks- left arm was harder the whole way through; 24 was tough on both.)

man, that shit took forever. now I gotta shower, get some schoolwork done, and go to work. have a good day, y'all! get your workout on!

alaska, I'll check inw tih you tonight and see how you did!

music: BET for th cardio, some justice remixes for the weight training

I posted my comments so I can see where I stand in a couple weeks

Wow...how cool is it that we're doing the same (long ass hard ass) workout?! I'm so glad! It does take awhile in the beginning, even tho the book promotes it as efficient...but when I'm doin good I have it at 1 hour or less for weights. I mean...it's such an intense workout, that even 1/2 of it would count as Real Exercise...

WTF and yr a veg too--there are lots of veg girlies here, so happy to hear that:)

A big goal this time around is MORE PROTEIN, so obvious, but I think I didn't get real ripped last time (just slimmer/tone) bc of that. I want arms that look great w/o flexing!

For some reason I've never been able to quote multiple ppl which really sux in this thread! But some general stuff:

--It starts NOW! Hopefully by 10/1 we will have a real GROUP in this, so's everyone can acheive their goals in a specific time frame, but of course others are welcome to get all kinds of inspired by us

-- Ends Dec. 31. (But keep it up!)

--Hopefully peeps will post lots of b4 pictures bt now and then,

--Workout gear pics please! So cute. :P

--Let's have a given time frame for follow up pics...TBA lol

...For any veg girls, my friend once said to me "Tofu is the baloney of soy"... just something to think about, that cracks me up actually...but I think tempeh/seitan are def more "ultimate" forms of protein. Now if only I can cook...

Can I just say...this is so AWESOME! It really does help to have motivation, support, and ppl expecting results!

Nice to hear junk food confessionals too, lol...

Mine: the other nite, after working out like a starving dumbass, I went to "pick up a few things" and went full on food shopping...the health food place was closed...so...I got cookies and a box of junk food bars...oops.

And I didn't work out yesterday bc it was one of those 2 hour sleep days where any time you sit down it feels way.too.good. Will update tonite, time for class now...

*kisskisskiss* so happy for everyone!

Now if only there was a "I will do my homework" and get to class on time thread....

I did an hour of The Firm. Has anyone else done those workouts? Do you think they'll give me a good stripper body? unfortunately I did eat wheat...now I'm going to have irritable bowel...yikes! That's the shits, literally! But, overall had a lot of veggies today, which was one of my goals. Any people out there on raw vegan diets or anything that extreme? How do you feel physically?

I'm in!

Starting stats: 5'7

Current weight: 135

Goal: 125 very toned, ass pushed back up where it should be, and legs to kill. I would also like to learn 3 new pole tricks.

What did you do today for workout?
I have pilates, yoga, and Carmen Electra's vol 1 workout....combine 30 min of any of these dvd's with 30 min of pole play.

Great thread idea! Now I have to get up and exercise! Pics to be posted soon!

Ooohhh...I'm in. I just need to make the time to do it (have school 8hrs a day x days/week).

Beginning Stats:

5' 7", 128* lbs (need to weigh self and update later, 128 is my last recall from a doctor's visit in the summer)
I don't want to lose weight, just become a little more toned around the torso.

I'll post pictures later :)

I am so in.

Starting stats:

Height: 5'6"
Current Weight: 138lbs.
Goal Weight: 125lbs.

Currently doing 30-45 minutes of cardio (running, bike) twice a week, aiming for 4 times a week. I am a bad snacker. I need to cut out snacking crap. Need to start weight training...which reminds me, I paid for a trainer, I have to call the school gym and see why he hasn't set up an appointment with me.

OK so here are my "before pics". They are completely gross. I just ask that no one quotes them, please please please. Thank you.

As I said before, here are my stats:

Height / Weight: 5'4" / 134 lbs

Goal: 120, more toned inner thighs and midsection

I haven't done the ab/leg workouts as planned yet b/c I've had tons of homework and school and work, BUT I've made sure to go on the treadmill last night and tonight. And I laid off the extra servings of food.

PS These pics are gross compared to all of you, but hopefully they'll provide some motivation for me. As I've posted recently, I've lost the motivation to go the "extra mile" in terms of losing more weight. (I used to be a LOT heavier and my low was 128 about 1-2 months ago....I fell off the wagon though)

If only all workouts were as fun as the pole, sigh.

I just bought a pole that should be here soon.....plan to do alot of that.
Do my Bikram yoga class one day a week.
Do on demand excersizes for my arms and abs.
Use my medicine ball.
I am off to do some on demand workouts and drink some nice cold water!

K, well I finally bought a pilates dvd (the Ana Caban one, thanks!) and am going to start doing it tomorrow. But I did walk all the way to the bookstore for my dvd and then all the way to MAC. Probably 20 minutes each way, I love walking around the city around this time. It's still warm, but not hot and it was nice to get out and enjoy what's left of the weather. Plus what I would have spent on parking, I spent on a lipliner!

I have one kid... shes almost 9 years old tho... those lower pics are when I danced 5 nights a week so I was really fit - but that was 3 years ago. The above is what happened after sitting on my ass and eating all the time. But I did do a flush 2 days ago so my tummy is much flatter. Id have to say I look better in those pics I took than I do in real life....

Ok, so this is kind of like a support group right? if that's the case, then someone, please, tell me how to stop eating ice cream!! For some strange reason, my mom bought peanut butter ripple ice cream a few days ago. And when I say I'm only gonna have one scoop, it turns into 7. Today, it got to the point that I decided to just finish the damned tub of ice cream, that way it won't be in the house anymore for me to eat. I've been the only one eating it anyway, and I have the super cow feeling now: you know when you feel way too full. It's too dark for me to go for a walk now to kind of empty out my stomach. And on top of that, I have to go to sleep cuz I have to be at work at 7am. I hate going to bed like this. :(
