I had that feeling too the other night greggy, but it was from too many egg sandwiches. You will feel flatter in the morning and that will motivate you. For now just try to get sugar free jello or the low fat ice cream they sell in the freezer.


Did not do my on demand workout yet, ate an extra baked potatoe....but i was sick today. I kind of have energy now so i am off to see wht i can accomplish!

mid morning snack: banana
lunch: soup & a cookie
afternoon snack: banana
dinner: soup & half a sandwich & a cookie

i worked out with my trainer for an hour (weight training)

this is not what i eat necessarily on a typical day, just today

bleh... i havent been able to train for 2 days because i hurt my knee on stage and can barely walk, let alone run. all i've consumed today is a red bull, some low fat pretzels and a lot of water. i hate eating when i'm not training :(

Gotta have fuel to burn tho babe, be strong n stuff so you can KILL IT next time! Altho I admit some days it WOULD be better off just eating what you did today, lol

<---- problem... I start to get faint within 10 minutes on the treadmill. Then I push through it to go longer but have to put it on really low for the last 5 minutes or else when I get off I will fall off into the wall behind it....

Dehydration maybe?

^ dehydration probably, but combined with the fact that you havent been running lately (right?). you have to work up to it, ya know?

my muscles want to work out, i can feel it. but i'm so sick.. i can't exercise. i need to rest for work tonight, too. i can do crunches and stuff i guess, just no cardio.

<----- signed up for Kickboxing today! Start Tuesday. Going to start @ 2 days a week and go from there. This is gonna be FUN exercise :) Opposed to the boring gym everyday.

I'm in! I won't have a trainer for awhile because I need to pay some bills so its up to me to keep training.
Start: 134lbs
End: 125lbs
Goal: to gain lots of tone and loose a bit more fat, but not too much

I'll do a 3 day full body weight train. Then 3-4 days of cardio. Hopefully will make for a 5 day workout schedule. YAY!

Okay, so...

Who wants to do this?

What if we had like, a support group for people who want to lose weight, or get more fit, but haven't yet started, and try to keep it organized by posting pics at the same time at a set date? We can all start now, and the 'deadline' to join would be October 1st, so mostly everyone can be on the same page? But of course it's cool if you find the thread after Oct. and want to join then.

Is this a bad idea? A good idea? I'd like to hear thoughts/opinions...

Yes, I DEFINATELY need to be in. School just started so I have full, FREE access to my schools gym. I can't wait. :D

Working out isn't my main issue, finding the right foods to eat seems to be my biggest hurdle. So yea, I guess no more Papa John's after Oct. 1 huh :-\

I don't have a scale at home, and I only weigh myself at the gym periodically.

I prefer measuring vs. a scale. Especially since I plan on weight lifting. Muscle weighs more so looking more fit and seeing a decrease in inches will be better motivation for me.. :)

me too! my school just opened a brand new rec center several weeks ago. It's the bomb and I'm so happy to be able to go for free! :D

Ok... I am so in, right now I weigh 135, at 5'5", I want to be back down to the weight I am comfortable at, about 120-115, before going back to dancing soon (I took the whole summer off while staying with my mom!)...

So for me that means keeping active (I'm biking to my job right now), and getting back into the macrobiotic groove (keeps my skin looking good too!)

i want pizza hut soooooo badly. i cant work out with this cold so its so easy to be like whatever fuck it. but i'll prob have a pizza and cake at my cousin's son's bday party at chuckie cheese tomorrow so i shouldnt have any today :(

I am still trying to clear up this patch of acne from 1.5 months ago when it all began...with Papa's.

I had to quit cold turkey, and thought about it daily. :D

i made a turkey sandwich instead. with a 100 cal pack of cheez its and some orange juice. i was on the online ordering page for pizza hut, dont ask me how i didnt order it! im pmsing too so it is really a miracle.

My weakness is taking my nephews to mcdonalds...damn smell of those fries....so i keep the ones in the plastic bag to cook i nthe oven if i really need fries.

Lastnight i did not work out as planned...but i am sick just like Britt...the cold...kinda feverish....i am starting to feel better today. I ate 2 servisings of bakes tostitios and salsa before bed...so i too had that crappy bloated feeling before going to sleep!

I still feel kinda bloated...so i am gonna wait till tomorow to post my before tummy pic......i want my after tummy pic to look like celebrity abs....blah i could only dream...or could I?

Back on topic....yea this thread is really motivating....i like how we all feel simialr way and are all battling junk cravigns and workign through it all.

It's awesome how we are not alone in ...not "shedding winter weight" haha. Summers are so funny. We have such high expectations for everything...where does that come from? Probably childhood, lol...

Blah this thread is addicting. I keep coming back here without any workout progress, but i bought a new everlast workout outfit on sale at Modells.

Banannas do not fill me up unless i have them along side another breakfast food.

I am gonna go out dancing tonight while i see my friends band....that should burn off lots of calories.

The bad news: I decided to quit living in denial and stepped on the scale:

130 lbs.:'(

I was 115 before I had my son.
I'd like to be 115-120 again.

My BMI is 21.8%, and I have 30 lbs. of body fat.

The good news: I decided to quit living in denial and went to the gym every day this week (M-F) and seriously watched what I ate. There is a health food deli next to my gym, so I have been eating acai energy bowls (acai blended with soymilk and topped with strawberries, bananas, and mangoes), veggie sandwiches, etc.

I'm on fire. I really hope that by my weigh-in on Monday I'll have lost at least a pound or two.

I went to the gym tonight. Woo hoo..its been over a week since I've been. Did a full body workout with weights and abs. I feel great. Its like a good high feeling. Mmmm endorphins.

no it's not a particular diet (banana diet). my trainer just told me to have five servings of fruits and veggies and i just happen to have bananas in my house right now so that's why i ate so many the other day.

well, the prob with that is you can't eat JUST fruit, no matter what it is. you need 6-11 (i think?) servings of grains, and you need protein.. eating a lot of fruit just to get that in there isn't healthy.

it also tells you what to do for exersizes every day. ( you set goals and it plans it out for you)

Ok I am in!

I planned on starting my new gym in Oct anyway, so this will just help get me in better shape, ya know?!

Anyway, I am 5'4" and around 135-140lbs.

Dunno where it all is though, lol.

Anyway, I don't care what I weigh honestly, I just wanna burn fat and build lean mean muscle.

I figure the kiddo and I will need something to do while hubby is gone for boot camp, and he will be sexy as fuck when he gets back, so I should be too! Besides, the gym is right across the alley from the tumbling place I am sending her, so I can drop her off, and go work out then pick her up, or she can come across the alley. (seriously, from door to door is not even as long as my front yard, and they (both places) work together on a joint thing.

She is also going to "work out" with us, since the owner is great with kiddos and he will help her burn that excess energy off, and she can show off her tumbling since he is a former Ball State cheerleader, lol.

So count me in as of the 1st Tues of Oct!

at321, I do the firm. that is what I will be starting again next week. Every time I work out to it I loose weight. I just have to stay motivated to work out.


I really need to get my butt lifted and toned...would the Firm help with that too? I don't want to get too bulky either...

Also, I'd like to try swimming. Any swimmers out there?

Since my before were what I used to be like all my life (never dieting, naturally fast metabolism) I really am very new to this. I don't know what weight I want to be at. Just at one that looks good. Now I also do not want to be that small ever again, so somewhere in the middle of the two.

(Please don't tell me I don't need to loose weight. Many people say this after seeing my tummy pics for instance and I want to say "well you should see it in person. the cellulite and jiggle is horrible")

Could we also post workout tips and ideas, as long as healthy recipe ideas/snack? I really need help with that.

lots of low calorie snacks..... apple and peanut butter, carrot sticks, salads, bell peppler, cucumber slices, bananas, broths (low sodium and low fats)

all those will fill you up without putting on lbs.

oh, and LOTS OF WATER!!!!




so, I'm going to buy a treadmill or eliptical michine this week.

and I've ate well today so far:

a challa bread turkey and tomato sandwich with an apple w/ caramel sauce for lunch.

breakfast was a (generic) rice puffs cereal. no kellogs, remember ;) and milk.

so, I'm pretty6 proud of myself. what with moving , I've been eating out ;like crazy, and snacking too much on junk.....

i had pizza & cake but it was my cousin's son's bday party and i won't ever be one of those people who won't eat that stuff for special occasions. holidays, parties, etc, are off days immediately.

How was your workout today? Cut a lil short, gym was closing in 1 hr. 20 mins. of cardio, 12/10/8/6/12 on shoulders, 12/10/on biceps, 12/10/8/6/12 on triceps. 100 situps on ball.

Being a vegetarian that doesn't cook...yea I eat way too much dips n chips (healthy kinds tho lol) till I'm full for a meal, and frozen dinners and stuff outta cans, just bc it's conveniant and confusing to get self-directed.

It works for vegetarians ladies!

EEEESSH! You don't want to starve or kill yourself. You can eat more than 2 bananas for breakfast and midmorning. You're eating teeny banana helpings but then having cookies (of all things) later in the day? Come on now....you can balance things out better than that. How did you even have the energy to weight train!? :O

haha i will post my belly pic soon in my outfit when i feel slim, i dont feel slim yet.

I have a question about the medicine ball. I follow my book directions i think, but when i do crunches on the ball i hardly feel any resistance or burn like i do when i do them on the floor. Does this jsut mean theb all makes it much easier....or am i doing this wrong???
