I haven't been very hungry lately. Yay! I hate it when I get into funks where I'm genuinely hungry and I can't stop eating. Today I have had cereal, a handi-snack graham cracker and apple sauce thing, and sugar free hot chocolate :D
I wanna go to the gym but I lent my friend my student ID so she could sneak somebody into the football game. She hasn't given it back and she's out of town :( I hope she's back before the gym closes. I'll at least do crunches and shit but I need cardioooooo! And it's raining.

I'm going to post a bit early. I have interviews tomorrow and won't be able to get to a computer.
I misbehaved a bit this week; I was stressing over this job search, and had some fast food on Thursday. Went out last night to celebrate a friend's engagement, and had a drink and some dessert (but only one drink as opposed to my usual 5 or 6+, and just 4 or 5 bite sof the dessert) but I still managed to drop a bit. I lost another pound since last week, so at least there's some progress!

Clearly, if you're able to fit all those treats in and still lose weight, then you must be doing this the RIGHT way. Congrats on the pound! You gonna be FABULOUS by the end of the month.

Overall thoughts: Well, I can really tell from the pictures (then again, I didn't take the pictures in the same angle and closeness,) but I can tell fromt he way my clothes fit that I've lose quite a bit of weight from when i started 2 weeks ago. I didn't lose much the last weight in, but looks like I made up for that. My body fat is down, which I am THRILLED ABOUT. I'm also really stoked on losing 2.6 pounds so I can get my belly pierced! I am still nervous that I will not be down to 120 by December 1st, but if I don't at least I TRIED MY ASS OFF. Hahaha. I guess that's all, really, oh and I really want to get Britney circa 2001 abs already!
Here's to looking like this in a couple months!

BTW, here's a trick I'm using this month... thought some of y'all might like to try it too!
I went to download a plain calendar for the month of October, and I printed it. With pretty colorful gel pens, I made note of special events (like my trip to Memphis and K's return date), and notes of my weekly goals at the bottom (minimum 4 hours of cardio per week, 2 hours of weights per week, 5 hours of writing per week, and four shifts of work per week). This calendar is taped to the inside of my front door where I absolutely cannot miss it, and I'll note how much I did of each activity on every individual day. At the end of the month I'll have a clear log of what I did.
If I make each weekly goal, I get a new little outfit or dress. If I make the monthly minimum goals, I get a new pair of Lucky jeans. If I go well beyond the monthly goal, I get the Lucky jeans and a full-body spa treatment. So here's to!
I'm hoping the calendar will not only help me track my progress, but also motivate me to push harder!

Okay, not a great week, but okay. Reposting my goals as they have changed slightly:
2 50 min classes per week
2 1/2 hour videos (Beginner's pilates mat workout or Suhalia belly dance-moving up to higher levels in November if I can)
64-100 oz of water/non caf tea/juice a day
2 veg/1 fruit a day (I know I need more, but it's a start)
Kandie_kitten's stretches 6x a week
I like the idea of rewards, Yek, so:
Each week I make my goal-I put $25 aside and at the end of the month, I'll buy one of the antique books I covet, but would never spend $100 on.
So last week:
2 videos, 1 class. One light stretch day. Pretty absymal on the food front, but there were some fruits/vegs. Good on the water. Better next week.

I haven't fit into these jeans in over a year (I'm OBSESSED with the 70s. These are some vintage jeans I bought about a year and a half ago. They're a vintage size 29.)

Ok, well I'm not doing as good as you guys, but I've never been one for working out, so I'm doing better than I did last week ;)
I did my Pilates video 3 days last week. This week I want to step it up to 5 days per week. I don't watch what I eat (b/c I LOVE food), but I have been cooking dinner at home, which is at least better than swinging through McDonalds.
I am trying not to drink a lot of soda, more water. I bought some fruit so I have something other than Doritos to snack on.
I like the idea of a reward too, I'll have to think of something.

^^Hmm, Christmas stuff is out in a few weeks...but I go there constantly, I need something that I really really want and don't have. Probably some 7 For All Mankind Roxanne's, but I gotta talk to the bf and see what my reward budget is.
Oh, I got one of the Ana Caban dvds. You?

Good news for me. Its actually hard to gauge my progress from the stats I gave initially. I put on a lot of weight when I came back from treatment. I was really sick for a while, and also on meds that made me really tired. So I'll have to extrapolate.
Beginning of August: ~130lb, 29-30% bodyfat, yikes! The % is a combination of circumferance and muscle density when calipered.
Since then, I've trained 2-3 days a week, and have loosely followed a diet of around 1400 calories a day. 60% carbs, 20% protein, 20%. Very loosely though.
Currently, 126, 26% bodyfat. Since March, I have lost 4 lbs of fat and gained 6 lbs of muscle. Although I weighed 122 then, I was also at 28.5% bodyfat. This is not the same as BMI, btw.
Had I gone by BMI, I would have been normal, even though I wasn't. I'm pleased with this progress.
This next month is going to be dam near impossible to get a lot of working out in. My goals moving forward:
1. Stick with the meal plan. Its all been measured out for me.
2. 2 days a week with trainer. Add one extra workout a week, preferably a yoga class
3. Ultimate goal is 20% bodyfat, which I am comfident I will be able to achieve by the new year.
I no longer care what I weigh, since it doesn't give me nearly enough information. I weigh 4 lb more than when I first got measured 7 months ago, but I look sooo much better.

I got Ana Caban's Basic Mat workout. Sorta boring, but I have to start somewhere. I want to get one with the ring or ball or something.

I went to the gym and lifted weights for the first time in many months and ran for like 25 minutes. I have lost about 2.5 lbs in the past week and a half on low carb diet. I have eaten a buttload of tuna and salad. I need to get some more variety, but no time for cooking.
Currently I am at 135.4
Here are some pics. I probably should have taken those before dinner ::)

Alrighty I already posted a pic of myself but now that we're officially starting:
I'm 5'5 and 145.5 lbs. The last couple years I've gotten down from about 192 lbs but I've been lazy lately. My goal is to do cardio for 270 minutes a week (about an hour three days a week and thirty minutes three days a week and one day totally off) plus stretching and crunches etc.
My goal is to be stripper material. I'll probably go audition when I'm about 140 lbs and hopefully lose more when I start actually doing it.

Yek you look great! I see a definite change from the pics in your other thread.
I will not weigh/measure myself till Thurs. I'll post results then. My goal for this week is to be at/under 125.
I have been going to the gym 6 days a week, doing at least 40 min of cardio plus a half hour of either ab work, weights, etc.
I've been a very good girl :).
I am quite happy with my progress and results so far. A couple of girls at work even noticed the changes the other night and complimented me...so that made me pretty happy. I also have WAY more energy at work, it's amazing! Now to just keep toning my tummy, ass, and thighs.....YYYAAAAYYYY!!! I don't do numbers at all. To me, it's all about how I feel and how my body looks when I am completely naked. If I'm grinning from ear to ear in the morror...I know I'm doing something right. I feel GREAT! ;D

I don't know if it's because of this, or my new veganism, or what, but I feel fucking AWESOME today. Ever since I got up this morning, I've just been in an incredibly wonderful mood. I have no idea why! But G-d damn it has just been GREAT to be alive today! I can't stop smiling, bopping around to music, just feeling downright fucking happy. This is a pleasant change.
Oh, and I would like to give a shout-out to long-term results, while we're all here in this short-term thread. When I first joined my gym about a year ago, I couldn't go faster than 5 mph on the elliptical, and I couldn't keep that up for more than a minute. Today I did 45 minutes, nearly all of it over 7 mph, with bursts of 10 mph, and I never once lost my breath. And I have severe asthma. I haven't been diligent about going to the gym all year, but even my sporadic attendance has made me considerably stronger and with much more endurance.
And I swear it's helped with my asthma. Usually L.A. in the summer is hell on my lungs, but I never run out of breath anymore. I still use my steroid inhaler to prevent asthma attacks, but I only use it 2 or 3 times a week now, rather than twice a day, and I never use my emergency inhaler at all anymore. I haven't wheezed or suffered an asthma attack in over a year. I think all this exercise has increased my lung capacity and helped my asthma better than drugs. So whether I ever get the body of Claudia Schiffer, I'm still blessing all the cardio!

Oooo its still October 1st so I'm jumping in.
Lets see where are we now...
Starting weight: 107lbs (i think about there....I'm a size 3 in Levis)
Goal weight: 100lbs
Height 5'1"
I'm happy with my weight but I really could use some tone in my abs and thighs.
Exercise for the day: walked for about 2 hours at a brisk (had slight trouble breathing) pace while running errands around LA.
Now....if only I'd put down the Ben and Jerry's Butter Pecan.....oh boy its sooo good.
I bought that 101 Things to do with Tofu book today. It was in the opening to the campus bookstore as I walked in. I think Yek recommended it? Thank youuuuu its awesome.
I've lost 20lbs so far without exercising and just cutting out a lot of fat and mindless eating. I think its time to add a bit of weight training in. I should post pics soooon.

I've been buddying up w/ Roseleigh and Kandie_Kitten to achieve my goal.
I stated earlier than losing weight was not an issue for me, but just losing an 1 1/2 from my waist and adding to my booty.
I went to my gyno yesterday and it seems my fibroid tumors have gotten bigger. They are not malignant, but they add a bit of bulk. This means I may not see a 22 in. waist.
However, I will work on building my butt and maintaining my 24 in-ish waist.
I did a search and read that eating several helpings of beans per week may help shrink firbroids. I ate some chili after my work out last night.
(I just won't eat them on the days that I dance;D

Ive noticed Im finding it easier to eat healthier as I go. Rather than eating for taste (tons of carbs) im eating much better. Im so proud of myself. Im learning self control. Yay!
Did kickboxing this morning (still freakin LOVIN it!) and am about to go do some cardio.

I need a buddy. We have similiar goals. I really want to tone up my ass, thighs and tummy, but only want to lose about 5lbs.
I'm havign a terrible time finding the motivation to get started. I began eating better, but I just can't seem to get off my ass and work out.
I might sign up for a kickboxing class....
Def do it - Im LOVIN it not only is it fun but its a GREAT body work out and great cardio.
Im adding 2 more days a week... 3 days a week -
When class was over today I was sad. I wanted to keep going!
We can be buddies - I have a buddy now but Im just sending little PM updates. Send me a PM if ya want

I havent posted here yet because I dont want to weigh myself. Hubby actually threw out our scale because I was getting too obsessed...not good for me at all.
I'm just going by how I feel and what I see in the mirror(and how my clothes fit)
I want to burn the layer of fat I have off so you can see the muscle I have worked so hard for.
I want a 6 pack...or at least a 4 pack
I want a tighter butt
I want more muscular arms
So I am eating less carbs and more fiber. More veggies. A BIT more protein, but because of my condition I have to be careful with that.
Less junk. I bought a bag of potato chips(my weakness!) a week ago and still have half a bag left...thats HUGE for me. Usually I'd scarf that down in a day or two.
I also added yoga into my work out routine...this is the second day I did my new DVD and I can REALLY feel it!! (its a specific yoga DVD targeting abs). I'm ordering more so I can change it up every day and not get bored.
I'm doing it this time...Yek, you are my thinspiration!!

I'm a day off, but schools been hectic. I went to the gym today to weigh myself and...: I'm 5'9'', 135lbs. Thats 15lbs lost since I got her Aug15. damn. :)
I want to lose the last bit of fat from my stomach and try to slim down my thighs. The latter is hard though b/c last time I tried this my upper body started to look severely underweight, seeing all ribs ext, and my hips were only a little smaller than they were before I started dropping the pounds :'(
I'll post pics and measurements when I have some time.
Good luck girls!
Lola Rose

Yek, you are my thinspiration!!
Don't say that, I'm not thin! Claudia Schiffer is my thinspiration. I have a sexy picture of her on my desktop and I'm going to print out a few more and put them on the fridge.
Today I was tired and cranky and I really DID NOT want to go to the gym. I went anyway. After 25 minutes of cardio, I was planning to just stop at 30 minutes instead of going for the full 45. At 33 minutes I realized I hadn't stopped, so I just forced myself to keep going and I did a full 45 minutes. Another 450 calories bites the dust. I'm really glad I pushed myself to keep going; ordinarily I would've just quit. And now I have more energy and I'm in a better mood than before I went! I'm really happy that I went, instead of sitting around feeling tired and cranky, dreading going to work. I can start doing that now, AFTER my workout. ::)

W00t, according to my dr.'s appt today, I weigh 116 (about 5lbs less than I
thought).
Current stats:
5'2 1/2 (hey, that 1/2 counts dammit :P)
116 lbs
37-27-37
Goal
5'9 (hey, I can dream dammit!) Ok, fine, really...
105-110lbs - I'm not really going for weight here, though if I remember right I weighed somewhere in this range last time I was at my ideal measurements
37 - 24 - 34 - Before my BA, when I used to model I was at 34-24-34. Not sure that that's completely possible anymore, but I'd really at least like to get my waist down, the booty can stay if it must :P
The plan:
I'm starting capoeira again *brazilian martial arts*, and I'm going to try Bikram Yoga. In theory, I'd like to do:
Yoga: Tuesday, Thursday, possibly either Saturday or Sunday
Capoeira: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
If for some reason I can't attend a class, I will do one of my pilates dvds.
I have to wait another week or two before I can start the capoeira due to my work schedule, but I'm hoping to start Bikram sometime this week.
Eating goals: less fast food of any sort, less processed stuff. I will be doing a daily/weekly menu to help keep me on track, though I tend to lose weight and tone up fairly quickly with exercise alone. I also work 6 days a week and do alot of pole work, so that should help as well. Pictures to come.
beautiful.
10-02-2007, 06:21 PM
I want a buddy!! I'm moreso trying to lose the love handles than anything else and tone up the rest. Anybody else in the same situation and who either doesn't like to work out/doesn't have the time to work out?
I've been doing crunches a few times a week, and I'm starting cardio 2 times a week in the mornings before school (all I have time for at the gym) and I dance 2 nights a week.. So ummm, buddy anyone?
