I hate when management decides that they just KNOW what EVERY guy wants and dictates to the girls. If you lost 10 lbs you'd look sickly.

That guy's an idiot. And there's no way 5'1" and 115 is stocky! That's perfect, hun. And you look amazing.

i'm suprized he did that to you after 11 years, but i'm not suprized he said something about your weight. we (at thee dollhouse) get girls all the time who've been turned down my mons for being fat and most all of them are really thin or a little bigger with great bodies. on the other hand, we get girls who've worked there for awhile who are super super skinny but not very pretty.

i don't get it. sometimes i think they'd rather have tiny girls than pretty girls.

the last girl that came in to audition at my club because she was turned down for being fat at mons, was thinner than -me-

and i'm 5ft6 125 lbs with a really small frame/bone structure. i'm usually the thinnest one on shift.

what is with the weight issues? It's how we LOOK not what we weigh. And most guys would rather see and in shape girl (thick?) rather than the skinny ones with droopy asses. Muscle is so sexier than skin, and I've asked guys.. grrrr.

you're very pretty- and HEALTHY looking, which i think far surpasses being skinny. there's a nice glow to you and you have very nicely toned arms. this is far more feminine and attractive than the heroin chic in my book. look at men's magazines- they dont have skinny fashion models, most of the girls have a bit more to them.

ok, just a lil joke to cheer you up: (this wasnt meant as funny- angry sarcasm)

must look like this to work in your club:
(warning: graphic)

in other words, it seems women are falling victim just as the link posted earlier. i cant tell you the countless amount of girls who i work with who complain about themselves at some point or another! even i have been told to lose weight, dancerntampa, and i'm underweight by most standards. where the hell did men come up with this idea as this being beautiful?! back in the day it was so the opposite.

a dancer needs to be fit or she cant do her job, plain and simple.

what?! you are perfect at your weight! find a new club.

You are SO cute, don't ever doubt that. Obviously he is threatened by you because you have been there so long and wants to assert his leadership by controlling you but he has no right or reason to. You could lose weight but you'd still have to deal with his attitude, and he may just find another way to control you. Your club manager obviously has a problem, but it isn't you.

I am 5'2.5" and 120lbs but I look thin I am told, so I know that you look great at your height and weight. I look good at a range of 110-130, but under 110 is too bony for me, I have been told. Maybe your manager has a thing for anorexics.

Scarymary, if that was intended to cheer someone up, I'm shuddering at the thought of what you think would upset someone. That was really not appropriate.

^^^ Didn't work for me either, but then I saw the word "wwII" in the link, and from there it's a pretty easy guess. It's not really the simple posting of the picture that bothers me, but the fact that you can somehow compare willingly-skinny chicks to holocaust victims...? There's a huge difference, IMO.

Should I (a male customer) post here?..oh hell, why not!

You danced for me last night, then I went up the street to the Mons.
The girls there are amazing but I kept thinking about how anybody could single you out because of weight.

You are in a better club now. Less hustle, much nicer decor and atmosphere.
A classy lady like you deserves to work in a classy place.
Mons is a fast food place but Platinum is fine dining.
I think that you fit in well on the menu.

Keep up the good work...hope to see you again soon!

i didnt mean to be an asshole, but hasnt this been mentioned in some previous posts here already? it sounds to me that he wants his girls THAT thin. the look of the people summed up what this guy seems to want. do i think it's right? of course not- if you noticed the compliments i gave dancerntampa. sorry to offend ppl, but lookswise, it seems to me that you cant ever be thin enough to work there, which is a shame. i hope you find a better place dancerntampa.

of course the pictures are sad, and so is what happened to dancerntampa. and so is that manager's head.

couldn't you have found a picture of kate moss or keira knightley or someone else disgusting, than JEWS from WW2?? that was horrible, those people should never be made fun of. that shit is NOT comparable to stripclub drama

people with body image problems are a victim to their own minds. they are torturing themselves, which, if any ladies on here have had an eating disorder, i'm sure they can relate to that. i probably should have explained myself better, but the post wasnt meant as funny. it's meant more as anger. it's more of an emphasis on 'so THIS is healthy?' 'THIS is attractive?'. to be a victim to your own mind like this? which obviously, it's sad. no one truly wants to see a dancer in that shape! i'm sure we'd rather have our 250lb girls (which we do) than THAT. i dont think anyone wants our girls to be passing out on the stage, correct? please see my above post, i have edited it to get my point across in a clearer way.

You know, it's kind of unfortunate that we even use the same word -- "victim" -- to describe people with a semi-self-inflicted disorder often triggered by their own vanity and to describe people who were brutally mass-murdered by a fascist regime because of their religion. Yeah... somehow I don't see the connection.

Okay, now you're backpedaling. You could just admit that it was in poor taste and we could all move on... girls here are pretty good at forgiving blunders when they're acknowledged and accounted for. Because the thing is, nobody thinks that being as thin as a near-dead Holocaust victim is attractive. If that's indeed what you meant to say (which I don't think it originally was... but for argument's sake), then your point is so overblown it's missed entirely and only succeeds in shocking and offending.

I still don't get it.

Maybe some of you girls can help.

As I said dancerNTampa is perfect to me. I like athletic, healthy looking girls. Now, I know there are some guys that like the Twiggy look or even the "Heroin Chic" model type. But surely no one thinks that the majority of men like this look. Or do they?

Do some of these SC managers really want a club that is 100% Twiggy? I can see why they wouldn't want chubby girls ( unfair as that is), but it's a tough business.

But shutting out girls like dancerNTampa is counter productive. Do managers really do this, and why? Surely they know that not everyone likes their conception of a hot lady, or are they that oblivious?

They are that oblivious.

Holy crap! I remember you...I think you posted a pic of you maybe in the 'older sexpots' thread, of your face and how you were 30, just DAMN...a photo to remember, at any age.

Talk about body role models...WOW. Arms I NEED!

^^^ Yeah, after I posted that, I thought it was probably a little harsh, and probably inaccurate, coming from someone who's never had an eating disorder. I shouldn't have downplayed the severity of eating disorders... It's hard to put into perspective when someone is comparing them with holocaust victims :-[ Anyway, sorry for all the threadjacking.

Lysondra
09-21-2007, 07:14 PM
No, it's alright. :) It's just eating disorders, ironically, aren't about vanity and sometimes (if not usually) by self-loathing or poor self-esteem. It's weird, but true.
