Sweet! Just let me know when you're in town!

I've been wanting to learn for a while, but I don't experiment much, since I don't want to genuinely cause damage from not knowing what I'm doing.

Good luck, guys!

I might try the E next weekend. How are the Friday and Saturday day shifts there?

fridays are cutthroat (i do not work them) but can be good... saturdays can be VERy very quiet.... blahh... with too many girls. (i.e. other days are better). of course, keep in mind, even six dances with tips can still be 250+. we're just spoiled from days we sell 15+ dances. (every 50 dollar dance is 26.5 bucks, post tip-out, for us. )

regs are vErY vErY important. but good hustling is, too. most girls have regs... but keep in mind too many get discouraged easily and don't try everyone.

Ya know, I don't think I have the emotional strength for the E right now. Or for anywhere else. I just made $90 in seven hours on a Friday night. No, that's not a typo, it's ninety dollars. On a Friday night. And most of the other girls made much less. There were plenty of customers for the last couple hours, but no one was really there to spend money... SIX times when I asked for a lapdance, after several minutes of chitchat, the answer was, "Oh no, I'm just here to drink a beer and look at the girls." Of course they weren't tipping anyone onstage while they watched.

One guy (who never spent a dollar on anyone all night) grabbed my ass and I responded by squeezing and twisting his finger while telling him not to do that. He told me, "HEY. Back off, don't be a bitch." I squeezed his finger and twisted it even harder and told him that he was absolutely NEVER to touch any part of my body ever again. He called me a bitch again and threatened me. I informed a bouncer, who told the guy to knock it off and don't grab the girls' asses... and the guy stayed in the club for the next four hours until we closed. Never occurred to the bouncer to kick him out.

I'm just finished with L.A. I'm weary, I'm tired, and I don't want to deal with this shit anymore. I can't take three more months of this. I'm looking for something else to do at night that will pay me enough to live on and save for the move, but I'm not optimistic. I'll probably be okay in the morning, but G-d dammit, the only way I can handle dancing in L.A. is by cuddling K when I get home, and he's going to be gone for most of the next three months. I don't really have a solution at this point other than to suck it up, but I feel so degraded and miserable here. I really hate this town and almost everyone in it. Once I move away, it can burn to the ground for all I care. Fuck Los Angeles in hell.

Is there a way to make it worth it to work in Bend?

I thought maybe people would have an issue with the tats as well.In ATL, they will. Particularly the evil cunt thing. In fact, that will ensure you NEVER get hired in any of the decent money clubs in ATL.

I don't think small ones are an issue. There were definitely tattooed girls @ PP. Just not huge ones or . . . unusual ones.

I like ATL just fine, traffic and humid heat aside. Portland of course is the coolest city in America right now (really, there's been, like, three articles in the New York Times about it in the last six weeks, we have the best food, music, and politics in the land, good beer, coffee, and weed, and even with all that the people are unpretentious) but ATL is a perfectly good city in its own right. So is L.A., for that matter. It just depends on what you're looking for and what your long-term goals are.

I am pretty much done with these threads, though. I think enough of us have demonstrated that if you don't have children or a mortgage, you can, fairly easily, pack up your shit and go. I don't know if anyone here remembers candygrrl/Topaz from a few years ago, but this reminds me of that -- a problem or complaint, a list of potential solutions, a systematic explanation of why no solution fixes the problem, repeat. Over and over again. Well, I have Topaz fatigue from this. I am very happy to see that you plan to finally make some major life changes and look forward to the decrease in ranting that should accompany this.

I agree, too. LA is not as bad as you make it. Sure you might actually have to drive to get to a decent club and they might not be as perfect as the midwest. But I can tell you that there are decent clubs here. I work in one. I've averaged $400 a day so far. But I also lost 20 lbs to do that...though I still could manage to lose 10 lbs more. Thank God, I have long hair and fake boobs. Look, it is what it is...It's LA and just like you have to pay high rents to live here, you are going to have to pay more to the house to work here. And you have to look good to work here, too. Why? Because it's LA. And when you think LA you think beautiful girls. Guys want to look a hot girls! Not heavy or ugly girls. There are quite a few girls on this board that are making decent money. It's all in your attitude. And if you are going to work with a shitty attitude you are going to make shitty money. It just seems like no matter what, you complain and it is really annoying to paint LA is such a negative light all the time. Not everyone hates LA. Hell, I love it.

So, who are you referring to when you say this? I think what you said here is unbelievably rude. When you aren't an LA noob anymore and you're not making noob money and have worked in more than one club, then tell us what you think. ::)

Alexxa, I'm sorry. I did not mean it to be rude to you at all. I'm sorry you took it that way. And I work at 2 clubs now. ::)

you know i didnt even think of that B. i know years and years ago they used to make you cover your tattoos. so i take it they are still against most?At least at PP they won't hire you if you have too many tattoos or anything too big or "odd". Evil Cunt tattooed across your stomach will definitely be a no-go. There are girls with tats who work at PP but their tats are small and few. I saw a girl who was absolutely BEAUTIFUL get turned down there because she had too many tats.

And to get back on the thread topic. I have to agree with Susan. I finally told candygrrl/Topaz that if she wouldn't do something about the situation she should STFU with the bitching. She of course took offense, but I guess the truth is too much for some people. Either own it or change it, because it's not gonna change itself. I do wish you luck Yek, and I AM glad to see you finally have a plan to get the fuck out of LA.

Trust me, I'm just as tired of the ranting and misery. I'm looking forward to getting out of here.

And Chloe, this is not a "one-size-fits-all" sort of thing. Some people love certain towns and hate others, and both viewpoints are equally valid because they are a matter of personal preference. The fact that I am unhappy with dancing in Los Angeles does not mean that I am fat or ugly, but thank you very much for your insinuations in that direction.

I am not sure how to accept an apology with an *eyeroll* smiley at the end of it....and I am also wondering how we were "supposed to" take it. Basically you haven't been working here more than a month and are telling us THANK GOD you have big fake tits and aren't fat or ugly....but then you said Yek (or both of us - not sure) have a shitty attitude and aren't making money because of it. You haven't been here long enough to really know what it's like and we are perfectly more than welcome to bitch about our circumstances here. That's what SW is for. Do you think she goes into work expecting money to fall at her feet in copious amounts without having to work for it (i.e. having a good attitude)? I know Yek, she is a hard worker and she's beautiful so I don't think she's really the problem here.

Yekhefah
09-29-2007, 04:11 PM
Thank you, Alexxa. I always find it amusing how everyone just LOVES this town when they first get here, and 99% of them are gone just a few years later. If I didn't make money anywhere else, then I would say the problem might be me, but the fact that I do extremely well (and have a wonderful time) in a different type of area leads me to the conclusion that this particular environment is the problem. It's just not a good fit for my personality or work style.

But what the hell do I know, I've only danced for three years in five states, and at more than a dozen clubs in L.A. and Orange Counties. Maybe I'm just a big fat ugly bitch. ::)

Bridgette

^To help defend Yek a bit as well, I worked with her in MT and she kept a good attitude, worked hard and made good money for herself there, while most of the other girls bitched and complained about how shitty it was. And judging from many years of listening to many girls bitch about the work conditions in LA (and the limited experience I had myself) I think Yek's biggest problem IS being in LA.

'So is L.A., for that matter. It just depends on what you're looking for and what your long-term goals are.'

I am with on this one. I actually like LA (minus the traffic) and I know the money potential is lower here than in some cities, (for dancing) but I guess you just have to really like where you are or the things you want and your mood just start to spiral downward.:(

Good point, Corey. I enjoyed L.A. for awhile and there are things I'll definitely miss, especially the little details of everyday life in this part of Hollywood. But the strip club environments here are just not a good fit for me, and I'm not moving forward with life here; it's time to go. Wish I didn't have to slog through another three months but at least that's all it is!

Bridgette
09-29-2007, 04:22 PM
Also I think it was a bit rude to imply that girls who don't make great money or like dancing in LA must be fat and ugly with shit attitudes. Oy.

Yek, I really am glad to see you've got a plan. I have felt for a long time you just needed to get the hell out of there. You can survive 3 more months!

From what I've heard and seen about the clubs in LA...I think its a lot like it is here in Miami/Ft Laud. I loved it when I first started dancing here too and was all fresh and making new girl bank. Now however..after years of watching girls give $20 blow jobs and snort meth off the toilet bowls..I've had enough.
And I believe its the area as well...considering I'm FAR from the only girl here that feels that way and I bank and have a blast when I dance out of town.

Plus...I can personally vouch for the fact that Yek is an absolutely gorgeous, stunning woman who works harder then almost anyone I know. And she's smart and funny too..truley the whole package. If SHE cant make money...its the area.

Fake tits aint everything. This coming from someone who HAS fake tits....

Look, I am sorry if I came off really bitchy. But all I know is, I can not dance very well and I am not perfect...but I can laugh at myself and I have a really good attitude at work. I think attitude is everything. I have met other girls on this board that like working here, too.

Thanks for the tattoo info, Bridgette. I was thinking of trying Oasis if I went to ATL, but I am already turning my sights toward OR now.

Re: Chloe - all I have to say is that this is the last time I help someone find a place to work or offer advice without knowing them. Money's tight enough as it is - girls can go find their own.
