What bothers me the most about guys who come in wearing shorts etc is the look on their face like they are the first ones to think of this . Then there the cocky ones ( no pun intended) that act like "well you know what I want because you see what I am wearing so give it to me"
Khaki shorts are ok though , almost to the knee . Guys always want to know why girls use a drop clothes when they dance ITS BECAUSE YOUR JEANS OR WORK OUT CLOTHES ARE DIRTY AND WE DON'T WANT OUR BUMS TO BREAK OUT IN ZITS , THEN YOU WONT WANT A DANCE FROM US AND WE WILL NOT MAKE ANY MONEY UNTIL IT CLEARS UP AGAIN AND THEN ITS STARTS ALL OVER . ;D ;D ;D

I was in the champagne room with a dancer this last week and she told me to wear sweat pants the next time. I was wearing jeans at the time. I guess it all depends on the dancer. I may go buy a pair of sweats for next time. I tolder her I thought wearing sweats were a no no. She then asked where I heard that and I said I read it on the internet. She then said to wear sweats next time. I guess she wants something softer.
Just as the mileage may vary, different dancers may want you in different atire.
I don't own sweats, and never really liked wearing them, but might try them for her. I dunno.
um. tell me why i heard this story tonight? these 3 19 year old boys came in and they were all wearing polo abercrombie shirts with gym shorts. i asked one of them why on earth they were all wearing them, its 45 degrees out. he said well he guesses he's just an experienced strip club goer, because he knows how much dancers hate to dance on jeans. yep. he heard it from the dancers at his "regular" club. he's so experienced at 19. (keep in mind that my club and one club in baltimore are the ONLY ones i know of in the area that let you in under 21)

ummm no offence mike, but i call bullshit...on you. what a friggen coincidence that, she just happened to mention you wear sweatpants the next time, and we have a HUGE thread on NOT wearing them. i don't see a dancer saying "next time you should wear sweatpants" we don't usually offer that type of tip.
but then again i could be wrong, and you could be telling the truth. ...... nahhhhh, i doubt it!::)
haha i thought the same thing!

Think what you will, but I am just reporting what was said to myself. I have no agenda and probably will never wear sweat pants to a strip club, let alone out of the house. Hell, I don't even own a pair, I can't stand them. I follow the dancers lead during dances for what its worth...

Well if that's so mike she is a very small percentage that prefers sweatpants.

It is because you're not making a difference between the pervs and dicks. What's wrong with their dicks? None of the harsh words on dick mentioned anything wrong with the dicks. Just that they were there, and they were hard.
And every morning I look down, and am filled with disappointment. Just down there, looking at me, all disgusting, and hard, and moves if I flex right.
How could I ever expect a beautiful and charming woman to use this for anything other than a morning-toilet-paper-holder?

Ahhaa the %age logic, here's my rant on that
A very small %age of dancers actually use this board and the opinion expressed by several dancers here are definitely not of the general dancer domain.
There are a small %age of dancers who are educated and can argue logically and have strong opinions about a lot of things (found here), it is not representative of the stripper world.
It is a few handful of dancers who have thousands of posts repeating the same stuff over and over again. For a casual observer and reader it may feel like that is a popular opinion across all regions and all dancers, but the truth is always far from internet opinions.
These handful of dancers obviously support each other 'opinions' and because of that have found a comfortable home in this board. There are plenty of lurker dancers who may not agree with many of the points put forth by these 'Gold Member' dancers. Either they'll walk away from this 'community' or not post in fear of retirbution. In a way it is self-fulfilling prophecy and we can clearly see that dancers have started to believe in their own fallacy
As an analogy, if you are an alien fan and visit an alien fan web-site, he'll begin to think the whole world is filled with aliens and the handful of vocal members will fully re-inforce that fallacy

??? OH REALLy.
A small percentage of us who are educated, eh???
Who hold strong opinions and can voice/write them logically??
And those of us who disagree with a certain majority dancer vote in a thread will keep our traps shut for fear of retribution, or because we're such sheep that we'll start to buy into groupthink??? You, mr. 2-posts, have not been reading enough. I, for one, already stated that I really don't care one way of another what someone is wearing. I wasn't afraid to state it, and I said that it varies from club to club, as well as regionally.
Your analogy to the 'paranormal' is ridiculous. Most dancers AREn'T appreciative of the things we voice and complain about, whether or not you want to believe it. And yes, that IS a fact. I'm sure you'll encounter dancers who are more strict with their personal tastes and boundaries, as well as those who are far less strict. But, by and large, when the dancers of Stripperweb agree that we don't like it when customers whip out their cocks during dances, it's pretty much representative of ALL dancers. Sorry bub.
And no, your comparison to alien fansites doesn't cut it. Strippers and dancing and our feelings regarding what we do actually exist within a real, provable, parsimonious world... aliens do not.

Math Time:
There are around 3000 Strip clubs in North America
Take an average of 50 dancers / club.
At a very conservative figure, there are 150,000 dancers in North America
There are 11000 members in this board
If you click on members list and sort by Posts, You'd see only 1125 of them have more than a 100 posts active.
If you think 75% of them are dancers, that makes it 840 dancer who actively post in this board (If you set the bar at 200 posts, only 500 dancers make the cut)
These 840 are not random dancers, but self selected ones. So there is a Self Selction bias going on. i.e you can't argue that you are representing a true average.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-selection
840/150,000 or 0.0056 of the dancer population
Coming back to the thread
Just by looking at the thread, I don't think there are more than 50 unique dancers who posted an opinion (either for or neutral)
or 50/150000 or 0.0003 of the dancer population
From a Customer Perspective, when they visit the club, they only need 10% or 5 dancers out of the average 50 in a club that won't mind with whatever pet peeves(not just sweat pants) you have. So they can tolerate upto 90% dancers with a -ve opinion on any issue
For a pet peeve to have an real effect on the customer
Required: 90%
Target Met: 0.03%
Remember, only dancers who are really grossed out will post in this thread. The one's who really don't care will not take the time to post "I don't care"
But, I really appreciate those 840 members, because at no point in time I felt this would go over any of you.
If I were to be blinded by Anectodal biases, I would not have made this post on this board

Okay, now I have to chime in. First of all, many of us are fairly new to the board and haven't had time to reach 100 or 200 posts. That does not make us inactive members.
And some of us have simply not responded yet because others have laid out views that match ours and have done so very succintly.
You will NEVER convince anyone on this board that your 'average' dancer likes to grind up against a stranger's hard-on. Maybe your desperate/off-the-wall/one in a thousand dancer does, but not the 'average' girl. We dancers are not all in the club to fulfill our own sordid, wild fantasies no matter how much you fellas like to think we are. We're there to take your money.
Your money? Love it.
Your sweat-pant covered erection gently rubbing against my thigh? No thanks.

Where did I say that I make that much money?
Statement A) I love Management Consulting
Statement B) Management Consulting Pays Rich Money
It is not logical to conclude that I make Rich money.
There are plenty of steps in between,
i) Maybe I suck at Management Consulting
ii) Maybe my daytime job is not Management Consulting
iii) I'm just a poor student dreaming about a job at Management Consulting

You're right. I'm sure you meant that you are excessivly happy that OTHER people are making a lot of money doing what you love.::)Exactly. In fact, he used "you" colloquially in a context in which it's reasonable to interpret the implied meaning as "I and anyone else who does it." (I love doing that; fortunately you get paid good money for it.) His statement certainly does not literally mean "you," as in, the person he's addressing. Then he comes back and tries to represent that your interpretation is not what he communicated.

Dancers always try and look as seductive as possible to appeal to the guys that come to these clubs. If a guy dresses like he doesn't give a fuck they are going to get waaaaay less attention.
This is exactly MY point. Not to mention, we also SHOWER before coming in - it would be nice if customers did the same. Sometimes I wonder about what people are thinking. :-\

It is a few handful of dancers who have thousands of posts repeating the same stuff over and over again. For a casual observer and reader it may feel like that is a popular opinion across all regions and all dancers, but the truth is always far from internet opinions.
Despite your attempts at obfuscating the issue, you're really ignoring the fact that SW is a place where the current trends and the pulse of the industry can be broadly measured from both the high-altitude viewpoint (overall downturn in business coupled with a marked increase in customer contact expectations) and the ground-level perspective of the dancers themselves (average profitability is down from the 90s, creepy PL contact-fiends are seemingly everywhere, club management is appallingly myopic and self-destructive in dancer relations).
One cannot say that SW doesn't represent the breadth and depth of the business, given the population here which encompasses literally every facet of the SC experience--ROBs, hopelessly cracked-out dancers and focused, business-savvy dancers; White Knights, PLs, RILs, and sweatpants-wearing Raincoaters; DJs and bouncers of all manner; jealous boyfriends and deluded wannabe-boyfriends; SS-blinded customers and jaded old-timers; jealous women and their men that take refuge in the SC--it's all here, all the time. Dismissing the validity of the sundry opinions expressed here on the basis of sample size is missing the big picture.
And that's obvious, even to a Casual Observer.

for me:
"nice" shorts of a decent material and decent length are fine. i've met plenty of high rollers who just got done playing tennis or golf and are dressed in those khaki knee-length shorts.
shorts of any kind more than a few inches above the knee are not ok.
neither are any pants of any kind of "thin" material.
i only did a few dances with guys wearing those windbreaker type material pants. it became obvious fairly early on what they were there for and -why- they wore those pants.
and i have -never- danced for a guy wearing fairly short shorts who didnt try to slide "it" out the bottom of a "leg"
that's why i haven't danced for a guy dressed either way in over a year.

bwahahahahaha! All I can think of is the CR I did with this really hot girl and a guy who reeked of onions! She kept talking about "how was your dinner, what did you have?" even passed around gum (which did nothing to get rid of the stench) and he didn't get why we only had fun with each other ;D . If I happen to eat onions before work you bet I'm downing the mouthwash.

I'm 19 and I get funny looks when I say I don't have any.
And to this X guy. Even though SW girls may not be the "majority" of dancers in all things, I'm willing to bet the majority of dancers, us, girls paying tuition, cracked out moms of seven, don't get off grinding on you boners in windpants. Nor do the majority of these girls squeal with glee when a penis slides out the bottom of their shorts :D "Oh I'm so glad you whipped out your penis! I've just wanted to rub my bare crotch on one all day, but nobody would help me:'( ".
I don't care how uneducated, or not "like us" some other dancers may be, I bet if I brought this into my club (with WAY more than an average 50 dancers) most of the girls would side with not loving the boners.

There are three reactions to this
a) Grossed out
b) Don't Care
c) Love it
Non Negative is not Positive. I said not many would be grossed out. That doesn't mean they love it. Most simply wouldn't care.
As far as SW representing the pulse of strippers, again my experience is way different than the opinions presented here. I would also be willing to bet that majority of you would actually post something here and do something totally different in real time (It is human nature to do that). Internet is merely an outlet for people to live their vicarious perfect lives with perfect morals
If Brad Pitt (or your boyfriend or your any other fantasy guy) walked into a SC wearing shorts, most of you will give him a hot dance and will not gross out. It really isn't about whether a person is wearing shorts or not but who is wearing it. Just accept that.
