Pole/SIN/Door Tax UNCONSTITUTIONAL YET, Georgia law makers think otherwise

Rate this Entry
I am sitting here trying to understand how Georgia law makers are going to pass a law which has already been declared unconstitutional.

Door Tax, Pole Tax, Sin Tax, it does not matter what you call it but when you apply it to a Gentlemen's Club or Strip Club its illegal. You are violating the 1st Amendment.
Texas already tried and failed, why would Georgia law makers even waste time and money trying the same thing?

I guess Georgia law makers like wasting tax dollars because if they pass this law it will be tied up in court for years wasting away and pillng up legal fees for the state.

If Georgia is so deperate for tax money why not allow liquor sales for carry out on Sundays? Oh yeah thats right the bible thumpers continue to rule what goes on in the state of Georgia. Its already estimated that the state would make an additional $75 million to $100 million in liquor tax just by adding sunday sales.

Well how about stop singling out strip clubs and go after the whole bar industry instead? Yes do a patron tax, every person that walks into a bar of any kind has to pay $1.00.

I bet law makers would flip out on how many negative phone calls they would get about taxing every patron who steps foot into a bar.
