Timing the CR
If you have to time your CR, how do you smoothly cut it off when time is up.
I have been accustomed to waiting for the host/waitress. Tonight I did an hour for the pay of a half cause my waitress and I had a miscommunication (i.e. she didn't come back to say time is up). This is not uncommon in my club, in fact, I have had a waitress come in at the end of a half to get payment. This pisses me off to no end, as I want the $$$ upfront, but I have to deal. (the waitress has to take payment, and often on weekend nights they are drunk) So I am buying a watch right now, and I am looking for smooth ways to say "time's up, buy another half?" without coming off bad.
*bear in mind that the custom is for a waitress to come back there, but IF they don't, I gotta speak up, and I don't wanna look bad or lose my chance at another half hour*
Ideas?

Re: Timing the CR
Well with me I get right to the point, same as with a LD, times up, do u want more kind of approach, he knows ur doing ur job, and of course u don't want to be in trouble with the club ect. I use that a lot, "ill get in trouble if I don't watch the time"

Re: Timing the CR
the waitresses so do this. it is annoying. i always say i want another shot or water bottle and i'm gonna grab her to tell her; then when i do i ask her to come in. or you can go to the door and ask the bouncer.
orrrrrrrrrrrr say that you thought you heard them call you for stage and wanna check, but if you stay with the guy for another half hour you wont have to go on stage. then you add a sexy smile. yup.

Re: Timing the CR
Get a watch with an alarm. So when the alarm starts beeping.."oh no..,..our time is up...if you want to stay, I'll get the waitress, but otherwise we have to go so she can clean up for the next person"

Re: Timing the CR
I would say, " wow! Time flies when your having fun, doesn't it? I can't believe our time is almost up already! Do you want to extend for a half hour or an hour?"

Re: Timing the CR
I count songs. It gives me something to think about too. I've figured out pretty closely how many sets including specials/bachelors on stage are about in a half hour and if the host doesn't come back when I think it should be over I say I have to use the bathroom and go find him. I have been left in rooms for way too long before I feel your pain!

Re: Timing the CR
I always expect someone to let me know when my time is up. Usually the manager will keep their eye on the time, and send a waitress in when we're done. Sometimes I check my clock on my cell phone, too.. just in case. I'd really hate to be in that situation where time ran over a lot and not get paid for it. I mean, I guess some guys might pay for the extra time, but it would be awkward asking for the money.. idk.

Re: Timing the CR
"time is up" is so curt! it reminds me of the girls who finish a lap dance and say 'that's it. wannanother?' heh.
i think it's more appropriate to say things like, "you're not going to make me get dressed now, are you?"
"i dont think your friends will miss you if we stay a little longer."
"i'm having such a good time with you! are you enjoying yourself?... good! let's stay, i rarely get to have FUN with people back here."
"i dont think a half hour was enough for us... let's keep going, i'm having a good time!"
and if you WANT to end it..
"our time is up, and i totally enjoyed myself with you. it's a shame we have to end now. but i hope we see each other again!" if they ask to stay, and you really dont want to, i'd reply, "i wish we could, but i have a regular who should be here any minute. but that was fun!"

Re: Timing the CR
Chrissy's advice is truly brilliant.
I also want to add that you should be wearing a watch or at least setting the alarm on your cell phone. I learned pretty quickly not to rely on hosts or waitresses. They are way flaky.
I wear a very blingy watch with little crystals all over the band. It matches with every outfit because its crystal & silver. When people comment on it I tell them that it reminds me that my time is verrrry precious. Keep that in mind next time you do a CR.

Re: Timing the CR
I just learned something at my club that irritated the crap outta me: The stupid room hosts (well, ok they are not really stupid, just greedy) will leave me in there for say, 10 extras minutes, if the man tips them.
And those bastards don't tell us that, of course. Knowledge is power, however.
A white lie line:
"oh sorry honey the time is up"
the man "Oh well don't you like me?" (not that they would actually ASK this question, no NEVER!)
Us: "Of course I do hun, but the club charges me rent for the time we spend in here, so if I spend leisure time with you, they will charge me." *insert sad face here*
ya give'm an inch, they take the whole dam globe.
