Is mine..................
Three frantic emails to tell me my Mother is sick. Please call right away.
All three cell phones are unavailable and I get shunted to voice mail.
I am reminded why I like being 2000 miles away.

Ok I was emailed back by my brother in law. My Mother had a stroke and is hospitalized. So I am leaving for Oregon as soon as I can pack a bag.
Looks like I will be in Ashland for a week.
Thank you for your well wishes.
Oh no, I'm so sorry. I hope it wasn't bad and she recovers quickly.
I'm on my way to Ashland too, heh. If you're still there at the end of next week we should grab a beverage.
Yeah, my family does this, too. I hope your mom gets better soon.
I hope your mother has a speedy recovery.
To all thanks for your well wishes. My Mother is recovering very well. She lost a good deal of fine motor control on her right side, speech, and swallowing.
We have her now in a rehab center that is very intensive with multiple sessions daily. When I had to leave to return to Colorado, I was pleased with how well she had recovered so far.
My family. Well they continue to disappoint in other ways. Basically most were not shy in wanting to know Mothers net worth.
That's a shame that people get like that. But I'm glad she's recovering.
My great-grandmother had a stroke while her daughters were still in their teens. The doctor told her she would never walk again. She looked the doctor in the eye and snapped, "I've got two teenage daughters to raise, sir, you better believe I WILL walk again." And in less than six months, she did. She recovered completely and was in good enough health to babysit her great-granddaughter a few times before she died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 82. I hope your mom has a similar recovery story.
