Sad times at the house of Glam.:'(
I haven't gotten a single one. And I can't find any scary movies to watch. Boo
aww... I got TONS of them. they were everywhere...as I was driving home with my headlights on with a friend, I turned the corner to my street and once the light hit the kids scattered across the street..my friend made a comment about them being like roaches when you come home late and turn on the kitchen light LOL..
I hope noone takes that comment seriously, its just a joke :)
anyway I went through 200 bucks worth of candy in an hour!! lordy
PTL!! I just had my first 4 kids stop by!!
Still nothing. Maybe trick or treaters are a thing of the past.
Yeah our night was a bust too. Which is actually good, cuz I didn't wanna share my candy!
ya we were busy for like 3 or 4 hours straight......with crowds of people waiting outside to get intohe haunted house! that was so much fun!
I wanna go trick or treating now! LoL
Anyone who didn't get any trick or treaters i'll be at your place in 20min :D
WE had like 3.
Trick or treating was so fun when I was little. Do you think it would be weird for me to get dressed up Dom and go knocking on doors looking for candy?
Any extra candy can be sent my way. I took the kids out to Snobbsdale and in an hour they filled their bags.
None here either. My friend's cat passed away (and this cat was stunning and had so much love to give) so we went out, had Mexican, and cried. Productive. :)
d and i bought this 50pc plahdoh set to pass out, and we only got 4 trick or treaters. we went out to eat around 8 and i left the bowl of playdoh out with a note, but it was untouched.
:( makes me sad.
i got 0. none! that happened last year too. i think the parents in my hood are scared to let kids out at night? i dunno how but somehow that seems to explain it in my head. then again, if i had kids here, hellz no would they go out after 7 pm.
eta: maybe if i lived in a good part of the city...
I thought that kids now usually go to little carnivals and parties instead of trick-or-treating.
Me too! I had my bag all ready but I only got 5 trick or treaters and one was an ADULT! :( Oh man, I got a big bag of snickers if anyone wants one.
Didn't have any kids where we live either, plus it doesn't help when you live in the middle of nowhere. Oh well, more candy for me.
I live in suburbia, and everyone has like 2-4 kids, so they were out in full force. I wanted to leave for work early because they were annoying me while trying to get ready.
I think I got a few, but I didn't get candy or anything because we NEVER get trick or treators, so I didn't answer the door...
had two kids stop by.
but that's actually as many as i've had in total in the past 20-years living here! go figure.
We got slammed! But I was told by one of the kids "your house has a rep for having good stuff!"
Hahaha!
I love it.
One thing I noticed this year though, half of the kids that came to my house didn't speak english (at all) and didn't live in my neighborhood. I wasn't too sure how I felt about that actually.
I did see the best costume ever though, an upside down man. The kid wore rubber hands on his feet and shoes on his hands, pants on his head and put his legs through a shirt with a rubber mask attatched to the collar....it was great! And so easy to make too!
We only had five. And one caught on fire:O
Yes, you read correctly. A little girl caught on fire on my balcony/front door. It was my fault.
I carved in pumpkin. First one in years. I put a candle in it, lit it.....and forgot to put a lid on.
Luckily, my man put the fire out and she was unharmed. It was her pants leg. He dad/guardian was amazingly cool. He did not reprimand me in any way! He even went after my big, black cat when he got out!
If she was badly burned, I could not have lived with myself. And we could have been sued.
Then I had to hunt for my cat, who was very mad at me.
I decided not to go to the costume contest at my little hang out.
I just stayed at home and counted my blessings.
I took my daughter out last night and about 3/4 of the houses had lights out - no candy nothing. In an hour we didnt get much. Sadly pathetic. I live in a really nice suburban area and was expecting better. But her and her friend had fun. Thats the most important part.
And my neighbors daughter was dressed like a pirate hooker :-\ When I saw her I was like WTF are you :O (ok, not in those exact words) she says pirate. I would have worn her outfit to work. Shes NINE!!!!
She was wearing a tube top tunic as a dress that barely covered her little baby butt. Fishnet arm warmer things, tons of jewelry and fishnet footless leggins. I think Im gonna ask him what the hell he was thinking when that outfit was picked out.....
Well, I ended up getting about 15 kids and passing out all the candy I had. I was pretty pleased to see the turn-out and happy to see that the kids also had a ton of candy, which means that the neighbors were also participating. Judging from how much candy the kids already had, it seems that my house may have been one of the last on the trick or treating route, which probably accounts for my late start--along with the fact that we live in BFE, so the kids probably had to wait for parents to get home from work, eat dinner and then go out.
