Where is the "Keep playing until I knock everyone out of the game option"? Or the "Double the money that I just Doubled option"?
If I doubled my money in one hand, I'd leave. I'm a conservative gambler but that's why I almost always leave the casino with more money than I came in with. I don't win huge, but I don't lose huge either.
Last time I was in a casino, I put $50 down on one hand of blackjack, which was about as crazy as I ever get. That first hand came up a blackjack. I took that fresh new $75 and cashed in my chips, and I was done for the rest of the night.
I couldn't find the option I would do...so....
I'd immediately put the money that I started with in my pocket, it's no longer up for grabs. I'd continue to play with the rest, though probably not until it was all gone. This is my typical plan when playing blackjack, and I always leave the table ahead (maybe not rich, but ahead).
I would play until I lost it all. Not because I'd want to, mind you. Because I would need to...I have an addictive/obsessive type of personality, so I don't do well in casinos...but I LOVE gambling!!
Gambling is the one addiction I don't have. I would play a few more hands until some other shiny object grabbed my attention, then leave.
Hah - I play poker every weekend and I rarely double my money but when I do well Ill play a few more hands then leave. Otherwise I play until I lose....
Usually at the limits I play, there's no way that winning a single pot is going to double your money, (and when it does its because I had lost half of my stake to begin with). I suppose in that case, I'd walk just to get out with what I put in.
In any case, since this is poker were talking about, whenever I've won other people's money, my advice is that its better to keep going than to leave because when you win, they lose, and when they lose, they get frustrated and are prone to making more mistakes. No mercy.
Well, it depends on what time it was, lol. But when I'm way up, I usually figure it's time to leave soon. So I picked number two.
