No clue where to post this....seeking advice on job opportunity
So..I got this email today from a foot fetish photographer I used to shoot with:
Quote:
There is a new BDSM club about to open in town and the owner asked me to
ask the models I worked with if any of them would be interested in
working there.
They are looking for "instructors" (who will be trained by them) who
can do public and one-on-one "instruction sessions" with the members, so
basically you would be a dominatrix but they are spinning it that way
for legal reasons. They are hiring about 40 people for that - the place
is huge! Sex is not allowed so only things like bondage, whipping,
trampling, foot fetish etc. They are also looking for doms to perform on
stage and give lessons, subs to be tied up etc for the performances,
models for photo shoots and a bunch of other BDSM friendly people for
various jobs. They are fully covered legally for that so everything is
above board.
If you or someone you know might be interested let me know and I will
give your email address to the girl who runs the show there and she will
send you more info.
So.... I saved the email, iI'm tossing the idea around in my head....but I am NOT a Dominatrix. The whole BDSM fetish is not somethign I ever got into, even a little bit. In fact, it turns me off. It's justnot somethign I enjoy. But a job is a job.....So I'm concidering it. I just wanted opinions....Can someone totally not into that sort of thing do it as a job?
* I would only be interested in the Dominatrix part, not the sub part. I've read enough on here to know better, and I can't relinquish control like that. And I HATE being tied up....because I don't like being out of control and vulnerable.
Anyway...whatu guys think?
And Paige...move this whereever u see fit..I wasn't sure at all where to go

I believe I've heard that BDSM is illegal in Nevada. Be very careful how you answer this ad, because you never know what LE is setting up nowadays. They love to go after women in the adult industry because they're less likely to get shot than they are going after real criminals. ::)
If you don't enjoy BDSM I would say don't get into it, but foot-worship is one of the tamer forms of domination and you don't have to be hateful or nasty. I used to wander down to the dungeon after a hard day at work and let one of the subs give me a nice foot massage. He got a sexual thrill out of it and I totally didn't, but a foot massage is always nice and I never had to abuse him (unless I was crabby and I felt like it, but I enjoy that).

Dungeons are illegal in Nevada. I believe I read that BDSM is illegal in Nevada, even between a husband and wife in their home. I don't yet fully understand the spin they are trying to put on this club to get around the legalities. The green door swongers club has a dungeon, but I forget how they have it legally. They don't hire Dom's for it..and I think thata sign says not for actual use.
The guy who sent me the message is someoen I know and have worked with, he runs several bondage/fetish sites and uses models for them, and I have done some stuff for him, but never any of the bondage, just foot fetish stuff.
I dunno...just trying to thinkof ideas for a job I can do that is profitable while in school. Cocktailing isn't workign out so well for me right now, although I'm still looking...

Kaylinn, I think you need to ask yourself something. If you are having difficulty dancing, which you once loved, would you be able to get yourself to do this somewhat related entertainment?

Why don't you try bartending? I was a bartender before I was a dancer. It's a nice 'middle-job' in the bar/club industry. You're treated WAY better than a waitress... but you just don't have the same freedom as being a dancer... but I'm sure you're already used to that now. When I get back to Hawaii, I want to start bartending again since the SC's mostly suck there.
