The 'Work Groove'
I wrote this in the Random thread, but wanted to start a thread on it.
"Am I weird for actually wanting to work? It's been 2 months since I've worked anywhere and I feel restless. I notice that when I'm not working many of my health problems worsen and I get tired more easily, even if I'm sleeping more. When I'm working I have something to do and I feel....better."
For anyone who doesn't know, I have:
Chronic sinus infections
Bladder problems (possibly IC)
IBS
Chronic migraines
depression
severe anxiety
back injury
Not fun.
So anyways, as you all know I've been going through an extreme rough patch even more so lately. I'm curious as to how I can get my 'work groove' back without necessarily working. Don't get me wrong, I AM going to get a job, but I'd like to get my 'work state' back and keep it, ie:
Stress lessens
Health problems become manageable
More motivation
Not tired all the time
Can keep going throughout the week instead of doing something 1 or 2 times a week and needing the rest of the days to 'recooperate'.
Any ideas??

Re: The 'Work Groove'
Work out.
Exercise is proven to lessen depression and make you feel better, plus you'll have a sense of acomplishment every day, and you'll have things to do and busy yourself with.
Go for a 30 minute walk, do squats, push ups, crunches...

Re: The 'Work Groove'
OK, that comes to my other problem: Motivation. I can't even ge motivated to get cleaned up in the morning. The depression probably has something to do with it. That and there's so many wasps out here lately that I'm paranoid to even walk outside!
My back pain ties into the motivation. Not only does the back hurt a lot lately, but it shoots pain down my legs and arms. Is there a good website for reference that I could look at good easy stretching and exercise for people with back problems?

Re: The 'Work Groove'
You could try one of those exercise balls. they seem to be great for stretching out the back extensors and are very inexpensive. There are a myriad of exercises you can do on them to increase strength and flexibility, all the while, being low impact.
