Re: Who have you seen in concert? How were they live?
Recently only Metallica, and it was by far the best show I've ever seen.
In the past there has been John Micheal Montgomery, Brooks & Dunn and a few others that I can't remember, all were pretty good. Oh the joys of a small country town nowhere near any good venue.
My next group on my Must See list is the Trans Siberian Orchestra.

Re: Who have you seen in concert? How were they live?
gallows - fuckin hilarious. not my style of music but the singer is so fuckin funny, and theyre just awesoem, aweosme guys. really enjoyable show :)
evanescence - amazing. amy's voice is incredible, theys ound just like the cd. plus all the guys in the band were so cool to hang out with, so nice, had a great time
gwen stefani - soooo much stage presence, she was really fun and friendly and a great performer
christina aguilera - incredible singer, not much personality
pink - lots of fun. i really enjoyed her show
fall out boy - patrick has a great voice, but it was too heavily centered around pete wentz. i mean pete is fuckin hot, but it was alittle bit too much "hi im pete and i love myself thx" for my tastes
aiden - hadn't heard of them before the show, but really enjoyed it.

Re: Who have you seen in concert? How were they live?
Fuck you! You saw KMFDM?!
This guy is full of shit, just look at that list of bands, I don't believe it for a second...
(Just kidding, Death is cool as hell--but I am still pissed he saw KMFDM and I didn't).

Re: Who have you seen in concert? How were they live?
Way too many to list all but Ozzy , ZZ Top , Jimmy Buffett and Metallica were the best live shows !

Re: Who have you seen in concert? How were they live?
Very first concert...The Police w/ Joan Jett, early 80s. My most vivid memory was walking into the arena as a 14 year old and being hit with a blast of pot smoke that hung in the air like a cloud.
Best concert-Jimmy Buffett at the Miami Marine Stadium (Buffet fans know this as the "you had to be there" concert. This venue is a barge floating in Biscayne Bay (or it was) with seats set up on land next to it. You can drive a boat up to it and watch the concert as well. Well...this one was chaos. People floating up to the barge on inner tubes, coolers...trying to climb up on the barge from the water and being pushed back in...it was wild...fun.
Others-
.38 Special
AC/DC
Tesla
Hank Williams Jr (BLAST)
Bruce Springsteen
The Who
James Taylor
The Offspring
Green Day
KISS
I'm missing some but that's a partial list

Re: Who have you seen in concert? How were they live?
I forgot that we saw Dropkick Murphy's a while back, now that was a good time.

Re: Who have you seen in concert? How were they live?
Smashing Pumpkins, 3 times, great. Except they left the first one after 30 minutes because no one was dancing or carrying on (because security wouldn't let us). The second time was an all-acoustic show at the Grand Ole Opry and it rocked.
Nine Inch Nails, 3 times, fucking awesome every time.
Tori Amos, completely and thoroughly bitchen.
Shaggy, hell of a good time.
New Order, outdoors, one of the greatest shows ever.
Tom Waits, he was good but he played for many hours in an uncomfortable venue.
Sheryl Crow, dragged there by my ex, bad experience, ear was bleeding from acoustic violin by the time we finally left. I was in pain for the whole show and was completely miserable.
I've been to more concerts than that but those are the ones that really stand out.

Re: Who have you seen in concert? How were they live?
Last concert I was at: Tool in Atlantic City this summer. It was fucking awesome!! (And a lot of people were tripping on E/acid/and shit.
Me'shell N'deocello: Phenomenal
Jill Scott: Great
Erykah Badu: Great
Santana: WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! I DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE!!
Luther Vandross: His last concert in Philly before he died.
Floetry: Nice
Prince: Nice, but he was in going through his "I'm religious" phase, so it wasn't as explicit as I would have liked.
I've been to alot in my day, those are the only ones that I think really stood out and I really appreciated.

Re: Who have you seen in concert? How were they live?
My first concert was shaun cassidy and from there the list has gone insane. Ive seen Randy Rhoads live, Iron Maiden with Paul Di'anno, etc. I've partied with everyone from Motley Crue to Days of the New. Ive been on stage with Murphy's Law, had a drink with THE rock god Lemmy, seen Gwar sans costumes before they did springer.
I miss working in old concert halls, I've seen and partied with everyone I really wanted to.
Sadly I don't remember a lot of the shows I've seen since I was fucked up thru most of the 80's....One of the worst shows I've seen was Cradle of Filth in Mass, the band was great but the place was hotter than hell and really ruined the show for me.

Re: Who have you seen in concert? How were they live?
I just recently saw Bon Jovi, twice, and they were great. Big & Rich opened for them one night and they were ok, just not my kind of music and the other night Daughtry opened for them and they were great.
Over the years I've seen, Judas Priest, AC/DC, Motley Crue, G&R, Metallica, Scorpions (sp), Red Hot Chili Pepper, Lenny Kravitz, B52's, STP, The Black Crows, ZZ Top, The Beastie Boys, The Ramons, Marih Carey BB King, Fuel and a hole bunch of others that I just can't recall at the moment. I've enjoyed everyone of these concerts, at least what I can remember of them.

Re: Who have you seen in concert? How were they live?
Haven't gone to many. But I saw Ricky Martin(he's so dreamy in person) and his shows were very entertaining to watch. I've been to Summer Sanitarium few years ago. I saw Metallica, Linkin Park, with a few other bands I forgot who they were.
Would LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE to see NIN in concert. Just don't have anyone who love them as much as I do, to go with. boo :(

Re: Who have you seen in concert? How were they live?
I have seen just about everyone listed on here so far, I'm a bit of a junkie. I have an old ammo box full of tickets dating back to 84. I saw NIN when they were the opening act for Jesus and Mary Chain in February of '90. Jane's Addiction opening for Love & Rockets. KMFDM opening for Ministry. Foetus opening for Pigface. My very first show was Motley Crue/Ozzy in...83 I think. I was 11 or 12, that's all I remember. My son is 12 and I have already taken him to Zombie/Lacuna Coil, HIM, MCR. I think my next show is going to be Electric Six. They're playing at the Khyber in Philly, which is about the size of a postage stamp. Hopefully a good time will be had. As for "best show", hmmm. Nick Cave was great. Tom Waits was amazing. Skinny Puppy in Dresden, Germany for the Doomsday reunion show. Coil in Amsterdam, under the influence of some hallucinogenic treats....that was a good one. Dead Milkmen were always a great show. Download at the Middle East in Philly, on the 3rd floor, and it was so packed I was genuinely concerned the floor was going to collapse. I tend to recall the ones that were really really awful more then the others. I saw 69 Eyes recently and they were so boring we left. I haven't been to anywhere near as many as I would like lately. I work Wednesday through Saturday nights, and that is when most shows end up being. I have to really like a band to take off from work to see them.
