Re: Who have you seen in concert? How were they live?
First show-New Order w/ 808 State in '91. Amazing! Also, I had never had a contact high. :)
I've seen a LOT of shows most which will mean little to most folks, since they're minor gothy folks, but I will say-The Wake are awesome.
The good:
The Cure-5 times-always great
David Bowie-Yay (with NIN-booo)
Morrissey-3 times-a little uneven, still one of my faves.
Rozz Williams w/ Gitane Demone. *sigh*
Peter Murphy-excellent, every time
All members of Bauhaus, but never as Bauhaus.
Tori-yay
Duran Duran!
The Damned
Peter Gabriel-bouncy hamster ball. :heartbeat
Def Leppard
Midge Ure
The Cranes
Interpol
Dresden Dolls (I have seen them more than any other band-20 times, I think?)
Cinema Strange
Bella Morte
The Sundays
MC Lars
The bad:
Marilyn Manson-just awful. Awful awful.
Edward Ka-spel-this made me sad, but it was not good.
Lunachicks
Fear Factory w/ Lamb of God-wow I didn't belong there.
Jay Astin from Gene Loves Jezebel
Morphine
I have still never seen Depeche Mode or Sisters of Mercy. Weird. I'll think of more. I spent 18-23 wasting my life at the Limelight and the like. :)

Aw, I LOVE Depeche Mode!! I still bump their old shit like it just came out last week!! ;D
Also, I felt the same way at the Tool concert. I was the ONLY brown girl there, and I was dressed kinda sexy WHILE with being there with a punk rock kid (who was too hot for words). So, yeah, I got a lot of stares. Good ones, though. ;)
-
Re: Who have you seen in concert? How were they live?
I love Depeche too !
And the Wyclef show I was dressed like a tramp which the brothas didn't seem to mind. I got a little razzed in the girls room but it was worth it to get my groove on. I also met Chris Rock at that show. Total prick but maybe he was having an off day.
-
Re: Who have you seen in concert? How were they live?
^^:rotfl: I can hear them now, "Who is this bitch dressed like that for?" :rotfl:
I got the same reaction. There were a lot of Goth girls and they gave me the "I really don't understand what you're doing here." look. Oh well. Fuck 'em. :)
