Seriously, to me it's just not worth all that work to get the stains out. I just don't spend alot on tops, especially white shirts, so when they get stained I don't mind throwing them out.
But a good preventive measure is to always wear a plain white t-shirt (undershirt) under your white dress shirt, so the dress shirt doesn't get sweat-stained in the first place. That's what I always did when I had to wear white dress shirts alot, ala restaurants. Saves alot of time and money.
