SW: a place for perspective
I've gained so much perspective from all different subjects discussed here on SW. I don't reply to all of them but I sure do read them. It doesn't feel so much as a discussion board of random collection of topics based upon stripping only but also a nice way to connect with others to see through their eyes.
I think thats awesome.
Re: SW: a place for perspective
You couldn't have said it better, TM. I think you are completely right. I am sooo happy I stumbled upon this message board. I adore my daily dose of new perspective.
Re: SW: a place for perspective
Mmm. I love this place. I learn a lot from it.
Re: SW: a place for perspective
The thing i love about this place is that people really are truthful and blunt. i feel its so good that people are honest enough to point even the hard things out.
i have learned so about random thigs from you ladies and expanded my horizons. :)
Re: SW: a place for perspective
I certainly agree with you TigersMilk! I've learned so much about so many things! I never knew that a board like this could honestly make me a better woman, and more importantly make me a better person and a better friend. I just took the time to scan over Alaska's thread about being broke and things we've had to do. It made me smile to be reminded of how wonderful all you stripperweb members are. I think it takes a well grounded person to honestly look at their life (especially as a stripper) and appreciate the things you've been afforded. And I'm thankful that this board has such a wide range of topics come up, it's hard not to remain grounded :)

I'll follow up troublemaker by saying that being a part of SW has made me a better man--just learning honestly about what concerns women and realizing how much I am in accord with those things...it really has opened my eyes. So thank you, tigersmilk...I agree!

I second what Jim said.
Re: SW: a place for perspective
I also owe a lot to sw. and hubby bought me a fancy phone yesterday and now I have sw with me all the time. life is so good!!
Re: SW: a place for perspective
SW has been great for me too - as a way of knowing what awaits me, sure, but also to a large extent in helping me feel "normal"! The same reaction I had when I discovered USENET in the old days... SW is the best-of-the-'net for me these days, one of the best communities out there.
GO SW!
Re: SW: a place for perspective
Awwww thank you TroubleMaker!! It's been great reading about how down to earth my fellow posters are because of their experiences...
I get ALLL kindsa perspective on here, and love you guys so much for always constantly seeking it too....
Everything from how clubs are across the country, smart ass things to say to custies, how people react to certain custy behavior, why some ppl think global warming is a hoax and so was Nickel and Dimed, clicking links to good fashion and the hideous....
Re: SW: a place for perspective
I've had some really great discussions on SW. It's been an amazing learning experience.
Re: SW: a place for perspective
YUP! I gotta say this place has helped me see just how far this job can take you! People on here have taught me how to book myself around the country and travel (almost fearlessly)! I've gone to four different states and seven different cities and at every stop there was an SW girl or girls to give me fresh leads on clubs, costume shops, places to party! I've made money the girls back home only dreamed of making. I've gotten advice on hotties I should have KNOWN to let go of....(thanks again madmaxine and Lena). THANK GOD (and TOO) for this site. DW and the patient customers have made me a better salesgirl. The members have made me laugh my ass off have a good sisterly cry challenged and most certainly befuddled me. It's a helluva site. It ain't perfect but just today I saw that even when there's drama you blow it off and keep pressing onward and upward! I've made real life friends I talk to and see outside this virtual bubble. And to think I had to be dragged to trying the internet and now I can't.....seem....to turn it OFF! :rotfl:
